SOmetimes the opinion argument is valid; sometimes its not. It's valid when you agree with it, it's not when you don't. Now you're just making **** up. A high score for any game is not an indication that no other game will ever do it better. That doesn't even make any sense, how can you score a game against future games that don't yet exist? It's like when people complain that you can't give a game a score of 10 because 10 means the game is perfect and no game is perfect. Except the scores given to games have no inherent meaning, so if you're going to criticise a score you need to do so using the system the reviewer used, otherwise you're just arguing against your own strawman. When it comes to flaws/failures/broken parts/whatever, the truth is that what proves to be a huge stumbling block for one gamer/reviewer can end up being minor for another. A review is ultimately just an opinion piece, and if your opinion doesn't match it, it's much easier to accuse the reviewer of being stupid or brainwashed or bribed in an attempt to dismiss that opinion.

I think it depends on the complaint/concern/issue, and especially how that complaint/concern/issue is worded. If, for example, you were making a turn-based game and the complaint was "OMG I hate turn-based I'll never play a turn-based game they all suck change it" then really what more is there to say than "This probably isn't the game for you"? I was recently looking at the forums of a few mod projects, and was surprised by just how bitchy the mod developers can be when faced with any level of criticism. It made me wonder if professional developers want to respond to forum posts in the same way. As for sex in games, I'm with Aristes in having a problem with folks thinking it equates to mature content. It's like a child swearing because they think it makes them sound grown-up, when all it really does is highlight their immaturity.

If using it offers greater functionality then of course you are going to be penalised by not using it. Whether or not you like the way it looks is irrelevant.

I love being able to customise the appearance of my character, but I don't really miss the feature in games that don't have it. All games need the customisation featured in APB, which is the bestest thing ever.

That's generally what "open world" refers to, games that take place in one huge "level".

So the issue is that the scene fades to black and you don't get to see the characters having sex?

If I remember correctly, all those weapons have camo patterns, and I imagine they are just retextured versions of existing weapon models. Edit: You can see them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/segaamerica/s...57605782362909/ Only the stealth pack has a camo pattern, so maybe they are unique models after all.

The images worked for me before, now they give me an error message.
