There should be an interactable spot at about the middle of the palm, have you tried interacting with it?, and I believe the piece of adra scale IS the amulet. I didn't look at the item when I did the quest though. Also, given that this is a no-spoilers section, maybe it should go into stories or technical help? Not sure. You're new, so, it's really no problem.

Just wanted to share my thematic character build that I wanted to use into PoE2 and this is actually set up with PoE2 in mind. The basic concept is that the build is supposed to be like a close quarters dual weilding weapon fighter withmartial arts moves. Think Jet Li with daggers or something, except more slashing. While I haven't fully worked out his background (mainly the part where he left the Deadfire Archipelago), his basic background is that he is of the Huana faction/tribe/people, is a pirate (well, raider), and seeks to better the situation of the Huana people (I don't know the specifics of what he'll do exacly, but he'll be heavily aligned with Huana while being at least positive with Principi. The reason he's a rogueish monk is because he is a close quarter fighter (due to shipboard and urban environment, not sure how prevalent guns would be) with stilettos and uses martial arts alongside. In PoE2, he'd be Monk/Rogue (subclasses to be determined), which I suspect would be a powerful build if done well. With this build, it's certainly possible to tank in some situations, but usually does better at higher levels and when the foe isn't engaging the character. I just let them go at it and don't micromanage by having them do abilities and stuff. Note: I did use The Anvil build as a guide, so, there are some similarities. Might be a bit of Fulmineo in there too. Difficulty used: Easy. Whether it's soloable is unknown. Race: Island Aumaua (I wanted the racial ability of Coastal Aumaua, but background reasons required Island Aumaua) Background: DEADFIRE! (lol) and Raider. Class: Monk Base+racial and background attributes: 14 / 15 / 18 / 10 / 10 / 11 Abilities (minus story, quest, and racial abilities): Crucible of Suffering Force of Angush Long Stride Iron Wheel Second Wind (automatic from athletics skill) Rooting Pain Swift Strikes Torments Reach Transcendant Suffering 4 (automatic class skill) Turning Wheel Talents (minus story, quest, and racial abilities): WF Ruffian (for stilettos) two weapon style (should be renamed to dual-weilding IMO) Apprentice Sneak Attack Lesser Wounds Mental Fortress Lightning Strikes Bloody Slaughter Veterans Recovery (I actually got this last and had ceased to have issues with endurance a long time ago. Just didn't have any idea what to pick for last) Equipment (right now anyway) Head: None (I did use the Hermit's Hat for a while because I wanted to boost int for something and just left it on) Neck: Lilith's Shawl Body: Vengiatta Rugia (I had Exceptional Leather armor on while writing this, but decided to upgrade. I was going to go with Wayfarers Hide, but then I realized that I already have equipment that has the Freedom property. Vengiatta looks cooler anyway.) Hands: Blood Testament Rings: Orlans Bramble, Ring of Deflection Boots: Shod-In-Faith (helps deal with end loss, though it was more of an issue at lower levels) Belt: Trollhide Belt Weapons: Bleak Fang (was Azureiths Stiletto for a while) and Oidhreacht. I'm sure it can be optimized, but hey, I just wanted to share the character concept.

Also, Ydwins shirt+skirt isn't actually all that different in shape to the Royal Deadfire Company clothing: (links until i figure out how to get the image extension to work, keeps saying 'image extension not allowed in the community' https://fig-images.imgix.net/https%3A%2F%2Fd3pylr1apgoxnh.cloudfront.net%2Fcampaign_body_images%2Fimages%2Ff0bee78834608247df8bb93d5bb502d1f8afdd10%2Foriginal.jpg%3F1491268075?ixlib=rails-2.1.3&w=570&fit=min&auto=format%2Ccompress&s=29c4c21ddd301fb9530b3bf3163ab45a https://fig-images.imgix.net/https%3A%2F%2Fplayfig.s3.amazonaws.com%2FCampaignBodyImage%2Fimage%2Fdata%2F1036d94899008cb8%2Fa574a0d08e775d05%2Fa86b28a07eba25f7%2Faab83b1132f70521?ixlib=rails-2.1.3&w=570&fit=min&auto=format%2Ccompress&s=b64672c1ebbc55f4f6b091178febc31a Not to mention that we'll likely be able to change the equipment of the sidekicks, so, it kind of makes the whole discussion rather moot doesn't it? Well, if were being honest, theres no way players will even see the glasses, or pixie haircut, or slightly shorter skirt, or whatever...because the perspective wont allow it and isn't that detailed. You will be able to notice on the character portrait but that's only a bust. So, much ado about nothing. Good point on that actually.

I tend to agree. I don't think it would be possible to pull off something like Ocean House mission in an isometric CRPG like Pillars. You just can't build tension in the same way when you're not in a first/third person perspective. I wouldn't be opposed to some missions that are combat lite though, focusing on dialogue choices more, though I agree with Quillon's point and don't think these should be too widespread. Seems like the OP could explain what they were trying to say, if we're a bit confused or unsure on it. Besides the non-combat bit.

Ah, I see. Considering that they include "tactical combat" as a pillar of game, I doubt they will do too much of that, but I know they've already showcased one quest where there will be non-combat options for part of it. Also, Josh has said that they are going reduce...I think the term he used was "encounter density" (meaning fewer fights with more variation) And sometimes, you can actually choose whether or not to enter combat. That kind of flexibility is nice too. Also, I suspect that part of their reasoning for lowering encounter density is that the world is so much bigger. @Quillon: All 'men'? What about women like Pallegina? heh.

Aloth may be 'senior' for a human (he's apparently 62), but on the lifespan of a typical elf, whch is 200-300 years, he's closer to the human equivalent of being in the 20's, maybe early 30's. Also, Xoti looks younger than middle aged, 30's maybe. And Ydwin, being an elf, could be older than Aloth for all we know.

To be honest, I thought the glasses looked out of place, but decided to reserve judgement until the game came out. That the entirety of my first impression. Then the anime fans started posting... What's the old quote? "I like your Christ. I do not like your christians." I don't care about the glasses, they're fine for me. There's at least one character who does wear glasses, one of the animancers maybe or the head of the library/temple of wael in Defiance Bay.

I'm new to the PoE community, yes, so I was unaware of the whole thing going on for weeks on Fig, though I got hints that it had been going on for some time. I suppose it's people seeing her referred to as 'the anime girl' while at the same time, having no clue as to why she got referred to as such. Something that just took a life of it's own. I'm pretty sure we can change the equipment of our sidekicks (well, I assume we can anyway, until we find out otherwise), so, we can easily change whatever she is wearing. And as Gfted1 said, time to steer it back to ontopic, whatever it is.

This is inspired by Eder's 'No, don't! Please!' reaction to selling the baby critter. I was thinking, what if we didn't sell the baby laguerfath pet to the guy who asked for the quest (or sold it to another merchant sometime else). It would be neat if we kept the little guy and in PoE2, it would be five years older and bigger. We'd have a young Laugerfath running around our party. Probably wouldn't contribute to much as it'd still be young. Could apply to other pets that we have our main character have.

Given how Obsidian does things (and it's the same team that worked on PoE1 and White March), I'd be surprised if there wasn't some way to nudge her opinion one way or another. Besides, with the whole political intrigue going on and the interactions between companions, it makes sense to be able to swing things one way or another.

Shoulda flipped Ydwin because it looks like she is threatening Xoti there. @Gromnir: Yeah, that's the same feeling I got, just seems out of place for the renaiisance to 18th century style clothing that Obsidian is aiming for. Though the culture as far as gender roles go is very liberal for period, but typical for modern. Remove the skirt and Ydwin would be fine actually. Skirts seem to be more of a thing with the wealthy in the PoE universe.
