Considering we already know the ship is our base, and you start with the ship, I don't see this happening. Though I suspect getting to the first main city will be much faster than it was in Eternity 1. I could see the party hitting port at that city after the prologue, perhaps with an Irenicus Lair size path of content before. It certainly would make sense to head straight to that city from Dyrwood and recruit some party members and crew in terms of pacing and narrative. Starting out at that city after the prologue also makes sense because the ship would need to resupply before heading out into the rest of the Archipelago. Plus you could choose between checking out the city first or just cast off immediately and explore the Deadfire Archipelago.

You can always boost up perception with equipment, consumables, and rest bonuses if you want for a specific situation, I've done that a number of times. As blades of vanatar said, it's futile to try to cover all of them. I think the stats you posted earlier are good, if you find yourself squishier than you prefer, then by all means, adjust them. The character concept that I posted a link to does rely more on speed (dex) than power (might), but that's just the style and part of the character concept. And yeah, if you're going to do purely unarmed, then weapon focus peasant. Since this is an RP build, I'd say just go with whatever fits the character you're going for.

Exactly, they already use resource pools (and thanks Boeroer, I forgot monk, whoops), just not very visible in some classes, now in PoE2, they'll just be more obvious. Each class will still use it's specific resource pool in a different way. Also, kudos to Obsidian for resisting just calling the wizard power pool 'mana'.

Theres some dialogue stuff that involve resolve, but nothing critical. As for talents and abilities, theres several builds you can look at to get a general idea in this section. Check out the pinned build list thread for a list (duh) of some builds. There's also the Rogueisn Monk character concept that I posted. Isn't Eder the only one who can equip the armor that he starts with?

Vailian Republics aren't a choosable culture option though. Old Vailia is however. Given the presence of the Vailian Trading Company in PoE2, maybe we'll see that as an option, but that doesn't matter here as it's not an option in PoE1. Given how big the Aedyre empire is supposed to be, I suppose there could be some dwarves there.

Basically just as you stealth and cross from being out of sight, to still hidden but crossing into an npcs line of sight. The perimeter defining their line of sight appears as a thick white ring on the ground. That way you can know where to move keep out of sight. The typical character specific stealth indicators under the character also flash to show you are starting to be revealed. Also, when you mouse over other NPCs while in stealth mode, it'll show their vision cone and hearing range (the thick white ring). Aloth didn't have any skills in stealth, so, it was just showing how the informational interface works. One particularily glaring error (to me anyway) is that one of the NPCs actually has another NPC and a piece of furniture inside their vision cone, which should block (or otherwise have some sort of effect) on the vision cone but doesn't. At least as of that video.

I wonder if it gets to fly at some point or rest on Maia's shoulder, it'll get tired of hopping everywhere the party goes. I'm hoping so as well. My guess it will be dependent on movement speed in the end. Distance rather than movement speed seems like a better method to use, but movement speed would also work.

1. I agree that it doesn't quite 'fit' the class, not in the same way as say, zeal does for Paladin or rage for barbarian. 2. Yeah, seems logical to me that rage would build up as combat goes on, meaning that it would be more useful in longer combat or when engaging multiple enemies rather than a quick fight where it wouldn't be needed. 3. Class X would be bard? Though, Chanter is bard-like. Actually, the way Kana puts it, Chanters are basically the bards of the PoE universe.

How on Earth did you come up with this idea? Fulvano islands will be available for everyone, just as the Endless Paths of Od Nua from the first PoE (And yes, the first island with Balefire Beacon is home to captain Furrante of the Principi sen Patrena). AFAIK the only backer related content might be an item or two for those who supported the game development via Fig or PayPal during the campaign. The same story was with the first PoE: there was a ring called Gaun's Pledge, a cape of the Obsidian Order, and the little Space Pig animal companion. Not sure how I came up with the idea, but thanks for the information.

Haha, that reminds me when I was sneaking around in Arcanum. In the middle of the night. Surrounded by huge, shining shield spell. No one saw a thing. Or even with the consecration spell blasting away since it fires off 5 or 6 times after it's triggered. Things can be silly like that sometimes with things that have visual effects. Edit: Andrea, while looking in his instagram, I found the in-progress spell retargeting vid that's missing from periscope. https://www.instagram.com/p/BRl4cMWFM_s/?taken-by=jesawyer1975&hl=en Two images over from the spell stat blocks and tooltips is a quick vid on revised to hit % and arnor pen tooltips: https://www.instagram.com/p/BSd5xwvlDyW/?taken-by=jesawyer1975&hl=en
