  1. No, just you. This is in poor taste, try to show them a bit of respect. After all, We don't want to look pathetic and whiney like the Blizzard community. Besides, this is the best thing that could have happened for Obsidian and this has obviously been in discussion for months since the rumor (or leak rather, since it's true) was months ago. Financially, there was issues, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that now, they no longer need to fear that. And yeah, I'd happily take an arcadey casual 4 character party couch-multiplayer action rpg in the Pillars world for an exclusive Xbox title. Think Gauntlet Legends 64 but with Obsidian. We'd be crazy not to want it lol Not every game from Obsidian has to be or should be a single player Crpg. What about what they want? What if they want to try something new or change things up? Why should we keep them in a box? Now just hoping the members here start to bite their tongue a bit and just think of what this partnership could really mean. So much paranoia on the Internet these days, ffs we don't even know s#it yet and already people here are assuming the worst lol We should be happy for them, encouraging them and giving them our blessing, celebrating with them, at least we would if we really trusted them in the first place...
  2. "If you're a fan of Obsidian, now would be a time to get wise and buy a console" Hmmm... Well, sure wouldn't hurt I love how every so often, I get a humble reminder of how smart my investments in my $300.00 plastic boxes with ancient hardware, really are. Long live Microbsidian! <3 Also, I doubt Mikey will answer the question officially since they won't be able to announce anything for sometime anyway. It's like expectimg them to answer "How do you like working with MS?" They've really only just begun. Teehee
  3. I'd hope so, though it's far too early to tell. Bungie is pretty legendary in both console and pc spaces but I doubt Obsidian will become THAT big lol Halo is one of few franchises in which we've seen comics, movies, cartoons and more of, all of them being successful. As far as Destiny, well I've never cared about Destiny but even with the sequels ultra low sales, Bungie is still in a better spot than ever. I respect them for giving the game out for free recently, which is a smart move on their part. Players being disappointed with Forsaken? Meh, what's new with any fanbase? Teehee Still everything Bungie puts out has been quality, especially with storytelling and first person shooter gameplay (probably why there have been so many rip-offs).
  4. Fair point but... I will speak for everyone here saying that they have our blessing to make games which suit them and us - the players well, or better yet - try out new things. VR, racing, action oriented games, fighters. Games that put them out of their comfort zone. Now they can be free to do things they REALLY wanted but never could before due to risk of closing doors and displeasing the needy fanbase. They may as well live to the fullest instead of being remembered as purely a Crpg developer - nothing wrong with that if you choose to live in that bubble but I mean, I'm confident enough in Obsidian's talent to trust they can bring something nice to other types of games so I'm looking forward to whatever Microsoft does with them. Long live Microbsidian!!!
  5. Yarp. We know Microsoft is flipping heads right now. Fun to see the fanbase reaction though it's like "Whatcha gonna do?" *shruggles*
  6. Copy and pasted from the other thread: Congrats Obsidian, you definitely made the right choice. Ignore the snide comments, celebrate the victory and the paycheck, I'll continue to suport you guys and buy your games. Talent is not limited by the parent/owner company, it's quite baffling that some members here would say "Goodbye quality games" due to Mucrosoft buying them out, if anything quality will only go up as they are now free to fund. Again, I'll say it again, CONGRATULATIONS OBSIDIAN! May you prosper and continue to give us great games, better games regardless of if only console or not (could care less as I play on both pc and console).

  8. I miss Lolipop Chainsaw, they need to bring it back... Imagine a Tommy Larhen skin in Lolipop Chainsaw. I'm sure our eyes would thank us (among other things).
  9. But Texas will never turn blue, people like their guns too much here
  10. You are the disease, we are the cure! This looks to be pretty nifty.
  11. Can I uterus kill people? I see why it's so funny! Candace has the balls to compare guns to female sex organs...
  12. A heart to heart review of Red Dead Redemption 2
  13. The only one I can think of is the entertainment industry with all its value mediums. Pee-odor game, movie music albumn Reserve tickets/seats at theater or concerto And the like
  14. Yarp. Hoohoo nana nene mufasa! I imagine this is the same dance we'll see when Obsidian finally officially announces their buyout from Microsoft and they go more console orient initiative
  15. I think it's because Republicans took the senate. Democratics wanted to take over everything, like a todal wave, they wanted nothing to be left. Didn't quite accomplish what they wanted there. HA! Good Fun!
  16. LOL Blizzard climbing up in the world, trollin fans
  17. My potions are running low *reload towns save* *buys 50 potions* Can't do that with something like Dragons Dogma though - as it only allows auto-save or one manual save limit to begin with
  18. Or you can level up and mow over everything without hesitancy. Cheesing your way through a Crpg is not uncommon and you're unlikely ever to get "stuck" due to difficulty which requires careful tea-per-tata strategy, nuch like a boss you will encounter in Final Fantasy. Temple Of Elemental Thevil is another example of bad combat (Did anyone here play it?) In which combat felt a tad forced. At least Divinity Original Sin actually tried by introducing pipe-wind and environmental effects to strategize against opponents and opportunities. For ex: Using lightning in a storm to attract to metal armor plates during battle or starting a forest fire to infiltrate and burn enemy camp. I think many fault of why IE games combat were bad was because of the rulesets not intersecting properly, it were always a challenge to translate from board to screen and we saw that evidently.
  19. I was generalizing the genre of Crpg, in which is more rtwp suited. Look at how horrible the D&D systems were in BG1&2 and IWD1&2. I don't think I have to mention NWN1&2 as well. Or rather that I simply forgot to include something and a member called me out for it hehe I mean I never did say that Numenera was rtwp but yes, I should have made my response more broad as to specificially quote turn-based combat in Crpg is usually not very well designed either, kinda like playing against an autistic chess a.i. But as we were saying... BG had some of the worst combat in rpg history. That's no issue, just my experience talking teehee
  20. Yeah, take what's said about Microsoft here lightly, as members can be extremely picky on this forum. Of course Microsoft has closed down studios, no less than Sony or Nintendo so, there ya go. The risk wouldn't be any lesser by going with anyone else, really.
  21. *Hits pre-order button* 2019, the year of best Cyberpunk games in history of gaming. Goodbye Deus Ex.
  22. Newsflash: The purpose of playing Crpg's are for story, gameplay/combat was always horrid from realtime with pause systems. You were afterthe wrong thing.
  23. Serves him right then, the paranoia on YouTube generated by influences is quite sickening. Imo, many of them should be banned as they are over-doing it to the point where they become irrelevant but there will always be similar nutcases who believe them. HA! Good Fun!
  24. Numenera was indeed good, just bashed by people who wanted it... and expected it to more like the first game. I'm kinda glad it wasn't, not everything should be what the community wants or erm.. expects. Expectations vs Reality? Reality always wins and Numenera was a sure wake up call lol HA! Good Fun!
