Hmmm... Somethimg different. My vote goes to Sunless Sea, which (in my opinion), doesn't get the credit it deserves. I think every rpg fan should try it at least once, it may not have all the flashy graphics from say... todays Jrpg's but it beats them in terms of freedom, story and depth. Plus it's Cthulhu- Vidgy Game Soundtracks

True enough, those are all good points. I don't think Valve has anything to worry about, Steam has many more benefits than gog. And gog will never have anywhere near the amount of consumers to overthrow Steam. Add to that, the community and that Steam isn't just games anymore but Valve is doing direct publishing through Steam (meaning that there will be games that won't ever be on Origin or gog, also selling movies, editing apps, studio programs, etc. I wouldn't doubt if Valve did some kind of educational courses through Steam in the future either. So Valve was very smart to make multiple paths for itself in case things do go poorly with games. Worst case scenario, if Steam goes down, in time users would be able to overwrite the Drm and keep their games or Valve would officially deauthorize games with a patch.... but even if this happens, it would be years and years when I am too old to care and far after I would have beaten and maybe even forgotten all these games which I've spent around $2.49-$4.99 on (most)- Random Sales

I like the name if nothing else. I have Shadow of the Colossus but I hate it; I don't know how anyone can stand the camera or frame drops in that game. The latter shouldn't be a problem in this era though... SoTC definitely had it's flaws, which held it back from being great. Even the remaster had the same fps issues. I don't expect that this game won't have those same issues but for fans of SoTC, this is what they've been waiting for.- What are you playing right now?
Who are you talking to? If you're talking to me, maybe you should read my comment again and the answer should be pretty obvious. My comment was in reply to the poster above me. As far as people asking about games they haven't played on this particular thread, I don't see the harm in it. It's like me asking you "Why are you commenting at all if you're not talking about a game you're playing?" But I digress, you continue to combat me on every thread for petty reasons. Say what you want, I'll continue to post freely. If a mod sees a problem, they can message me directly. Oh I just uploaded 20 screenshots in screenshot thread, you might want to go there now and report me or say something about that.- Recommend some gaming news sites?

And how do you feel about that? When I purchase a game on Steam, I try it out for at least 30 minutes, if it doesn't grip me or appeal to me as I'm playing it, I refund it. I have a fairly large library/backlog now but I know I will get to them some day. Even though I have hundreds of games, I've refunded just as many to find the ones I've deemed worth keeping to save for playing later.- Steam Haven
Thanks guys, that's pretty cool. I originally thought that every game needed you to at least login to Steam (offline mode at least) for them to run. Then again, I don't have any shortcuts on my desktop lol I always just sign in and run the games from in Steam Still, good to know!- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS

There's a thread dedicated for GoG, so I thought I'd make one for people who use Steam - it's only fair, right? I have just learned that there are some games on Steam that do not require you to open Steam to run them. Flinthook is one such game... So maybe Steam isn't bad as people think It's nice that we will be able to do what we want, when we want with our games. Steam has been listening and watching, apparently.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
SAINTS ROW II is FREE on gog. Right now. You're welcome- What are you playing right now?
Uh oh double post! (Because my prior comment was from like 10 hours ago and it would be weird to mess with it now)... Anyways, I dod get a chance to play Hollow Knight and it was pretty amazing. I put around 4 or 5 hours in and felt like I made decent progress. I don't have much experience with Metroidvanias. I have a few but haven't really got to spend time playing them. This game though, consumed me. Strangely, it really took me back to the time I saw The Land Before Time and I think it's because of that watercolored art style, the way it animates and the characters. Just beautiful.
