  1. the best cipher build for weaponry is: Island Amua (extra weapon slot) the extra arms talent Scion of flame quick switch coil od recoursefullness Weapon set 1: Arquebus Weapon set 2:Arquebus Weapon set 3: arquebus Weapon set 4:arquebus Hands : Forge master gloves Just fire all arquebuses quick switching and then use the gloves. Good fun build too
  2. I think dannyboy is playing a differernt game and accidently posted on the wrong forum. or he has only advanced to perhaps level 4
  3. If the Druid spirit shift was longer then 20 sec then yeah I probably would, never roll a rogue
  4. Why can't we have both focused/ engaging and massive. Who said you can only have one or the other? I'm expecting bg2 level of greatness or better in deadfire. I'm semi - confident they will pull it off.
  5. thank god. hows how they put that end game final weapon merchant right at the end of the game like that in twin elms/elmshore was incredibly frustrating to only be able to get all those items right at the end so you couldn't use them for 90% of the game
  6. Personally I found Pillars much bigger than Baldur's Gate II, with expansions especially. That is not a dig at the latter, mind, I still think it's a better game overall, but I'm not too worried with the size, and as much as I like my RPGs to be sprawly and ambitious there does come a point when they may burn one out, regardless of how good they are. Yeah but the end areas in pillars 1 where absolutely lacking in quality. I'm talking about the elmshore, twin elms areas and city. There was hardly any content at all in those areas and it was over and done with too quickly. That was the biggest fault in the game IMO
  7. That's why you max Con. Its effects endurance and health. You don't really notice that are resting all that much. My late game rogue was more sturdy then my fighter and paladin. I also noticed that the enemies AI was attacking the fighter and paladin first before the rogue for some reason
  8. hopefully it will be as big as BG2 after they release the expansions for it pillars 1 (with expansions) wasn't really all that much small then BG2 (without throne of bhaal)
  9. Deadfire absolutely must be as big as bg2 or I want a refund! I hope your watching josh!
  10. The lenguath were frickin easy to beat and so where the phantoms in the starting town and caed nua. As soon as I came across encounters on POTD that where to difficult I just adventured elsewhere and came back when I was a higher level. Having harder encounters is an important part of theses games and this thread should be deleted if you ask me. Stupid post.
  11. I heard josh say that deadfire will be "about the same size" as pillars 1. Is that including the expansions or not the expansions? Or does anyone have anymore news on this? This is one topic I am very concerned/ interested in.
  12. and while we are at it let's sort out that problem of that annoying health pool getting lowered in combat. I'm up to my earful with this issue and it needs to be fixed asap, hopefully in the next patch.
  13. Let's all band together with the other wingers! and we will all get organzized ! And start a union and say enough is enough!!!!!!'
  14. Reminds me of that Austin powers scene haha https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IGiQOCX9UbM
  15. What did you mean by skipping recovery with the coil and quick switch ? You mean skipping reloading with firearms by pausing and then switching?
  16. The best one I saw was that jolting touch stiletto proccing on everyone on the screen with the barbarians carnage. I remember someone screenshotted it and put it on this forum. The whole screen lit up.
  17. I wouldn't get to exited about multiclasses in pillars 2. Judging on how obs nerfed and balanced there way through pillars 1 it wouldn't surprise me if they find a way to make multis that useless that it wouldn't be worth rollinging them. They will just nerf all the loop holes and good synergies from multiclassing as they come up with patches instead of improving the enemies AI like they did last time.
  18. edited OP to include the use of healing potions and infuse vital essence as per @boerers comment.
  19. As we have discussed, The value of speed gains from dexteritys return diminishes the closer you get to zero recovery. For this build I would Max might (to get the healing bonus as well as damage) Max con ( this is the foundation of this build) I would leave everything else at 10 including intelligence so you don't decrease your blinding, crippling, withering, sap durations. This also build needs to stay stay at light armor to work, no heavier then hide dirganized
  20. So are you better of putting the points in might or Dex if you are at zero recovery?
