What if you take all levels of precise shot? And weapon focus blasters?
-
That actually makes a lot of sense. When you found him on Telos, he talked about how he wanted to heal something, that's why he was designing the planetary shields. He said something like "I saw Telos before the Sith razed it. It deserved a better fate." It would really fit if he sacrificed himself not only helping you, but also saving Telos as he originally wanted to do. And that would also explain why he doesn't show up for the faceoff on Malachor V.

differences btw male and female
Lost Jedi replied to Knights&Darths's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think it matters much either way. It's pretty much just the romance options that change. Handmaiden beats Disciple hands down, no questions there. Once the TSLRP comes out, there might be more to debate... some of the cut content with Atton could be good. And I definitely look forward to Disciple getting killed. -
In actual effectiveness, I can see how blasters would beat all. Ranged is better, and Atton does most of the kills for my party (especially early in game, when I'm stuck with stupid vibroblades). However, I'd go with lightsabers, just because.... they're so freaking cool! C'mon, it's just so neat to go through the levels slicing everyone to pieces. And I don't know why, but I'm a lightsaber freak. What kind of jedi uses blasters? Probably a more effective one. But not my exile.

killing the jedi masters on the LIGHT side
Lost Jedi replied to Sith Lord Urais's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The sad part is, even if you're lightside, as long as you kill at least one Jedi master, you end up getting the darkside thing in the enclave. The only difference is you don't get force crush, and instead have wimpy force enlightenment. It was really sad... I was looking forward to having only 1 or 2 Jedi Masters lecturing me on how I would bring death to the galaxy in my lightsidedness... -
Either the M4-78 restoration project or the TSLRP will have both Vash and Kaah restored as interactable characters. I think it's the M4-78 team. I'm just confused since I think I read about it in a Team Gizka forum...

"Serve the exile until it is your time to die" ... I'd say he's dead. He wouldn't have sent the remote out on it's own with only an old holorecord if he had been able to undo his creation himself. Also, although I'm not sure if this counts for this argument, in the cut content, he was the only jedifiable party member that didn't show up to face down Kreia.

True. In KotOR I, it's about saving the galaxy. The revelation that you're Revan if anything seems to make your previous in-game actions less important, since all of your character's importance comes from stuff you did a long time ago. It's as if you're character has been made for you, and the only choice is what you do about it. KotOR II is much more about self-development. It doesn't matter as much who you were as it does who you decide to become. While your light-dark decisions don't have as spectacular of ending differences, they help shape your character much more. In essence, it's almost a story of self-creation--not only who you were and what you did, but who you can be.

Force Repair.

I prefer TSL because (especially once the cut content is put back in) there's more replayability. In KotOR I, there were always 2 options on quests, LS or DS. Some variation, but especially with the main plotline, it was just black and white. KotOR II gives more options, especially with the interactions with your party members. The on-ship cutscenes between them are great, and it makes the game seem more real when NPCs interact with each other like that. In KotOR I, it seemed like all of the party members just sat there waiting for you to talk to them. TSL has more complexity.

What do they do?
-
I don't know much about this, but just based on the link you put up that seems pretty unlikely. According to that wookipedia article, Arca Jeth was male and died about 50 years before KotOR II.

You know you've played too much K2 when...
Lost Jedi replied to HIGH ON PIE 14's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
...when you find a crystal on the ground and think "Excellent! Now all I need is an emitter, lens, and power cell..." ...when you call your new computer Nihilus. ...when you see your little brother approaching and your first thought is "Force Speed!" ...when you call your friend's katana a vibroblade. ...when you check the Team Gizka site every time you go online. That reminds me... -
Force Crush > Force Enlightenment. Even if you ignore the bug that often messes up Force Enlightenment, Force Crush is just the cheapest (as in insanely powerful) power in the game. It not only takes half the life out of any boss in the game, but immobilizes them and makes them lose their turn. Nothing can beat it. I'm usually a lightside player. But if you're going to end up killing the Jedi masters anyway, do it and get Force Crush.
-
Master flurry is without a doubt the best. C'mon, a free attack? No penalty? That does 150% damage without using force speed, 125% with. Either way, it rocks. And it's just cool seeing your PC do the spinny slash of death.

The sad, sad thing about the skills is- the difficulty goes up for things like security as you level. I used the Hissis spawnpoint to get to level 50 in one game (it wasn't that hard, just spawn 50 or so, then force storm until the computer threatens to crash. Then repeat). As I leveled, I decided to make super-characters by stopping all my skills and my party members skills at 35, so I could get all skills leveled, but still have enough in each area to beat any difficulty. Then I leave Korriban, head to Dantooine, and find myself unable to open any locked boxes w/out my lightsaber. They'd all level adjusted to a 45 difficulty or something. Saaaddd....

I went through as a darksider and tested what happened if you only killed some of the Jedi. When I got to the enclave, I had to fight them, whether it was 1 or 2 jedi left. But I was darkside mastery then... I don't know if alignment does make a difference if you play mixed, but that could be pretty funny. The lightside enclave confrontation with only 1 or 2 Jedi left? "You are a wound in the force... you have brought doom on the galaxy..." all coming from one guy? LOL.

Um, did any of you people ever play as LS female? If you ask Mira what she thinks about guys, her answer is very descriptive. And amusing. Don't fantasize too much.
-
I don't think she was all that bad. She manipulated and used the Exile, but toward the eventual goal of him/her becoming stronger than Kreia. Seriously, I don't get why everyone hates her so much. You don't see people writing rants about Nihilus or Sion, and they were a lot eviler than her.
-
Handmaiden and Atton. Handmaiden's character is pretty neat with the Echani beliefs and stuff, and Atton has the coolest backstory. For me it's the character that matters, not their combat effectiveness. It's not as if KotOR II is an impossibly difficult game to beat.
-
It's worth playing as both, just so you can find out what happens. But yeah, I feel guilty sometimes as DS. The worst for me was turning all of my companions evil. Persuading Atton that the Jedi who came to him was just being manipulative.... Some evil is fun or funny. But playing full out evil depresses me.
-
The lack of actual romance options is kinda sad... It's almost like the KotOR I thing with Juhani, where she just says one sentence and that's it for the game.
-
Has anyone ever gotten Atton to talk to them after the Jedi enclave meeting instead of Disciple? I heard a rumor that it was possible, but no one clarified it, and I'm pretty sure if it were influence based it would already have happened in my game.

Who is the best sith lord?
Lost Jedi replied to darth ragnos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If we're voting for best at combat, definitely Revan. But if it's coolest in general or personal favorites, Nihilus has to be up there. He's just so evil! And he speaks sith-holocron-ese. He's one of those characters where it doesn't matter how easy he is to beat, he's immensely cool anyway. As a second vote on favorite, I'd say Darth Traya. She's not neat on the same level as Revan or Nihilus, but the way she manipulates everyone... it gives her as much power in the end. And subtlety is a much-needed attribute in Sith lords. The only other person who ever seemed to have any was Palpantine, and he pretty much ruined that when he started cackling. -
That happens to me a lot when it loads the menu or sometimes after movies or area screens. All I ever do to fix it is go to the desktop (start-d) and then click on the icon on the taskbar to re-enter game. Then the screen is usually back to normal. If this is a hardware problem that might not work, though...
