The Custom Portraits Thread
613 The Evil replied to Namutree's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Could someone rework this maybe? Into a portrait? http://pre03.deviantart.net/c547/th/pre/i/2013/039/6/d/mongol_warrior_by_garcar-d5u7x8g.jpg -
The White March ending slides
613 The Evil replied to rivmusique's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Endings#Stalwart_and_Abydon_.5BWM2.5D I was more interested in how does your decision to either end the Iron Flail or let them help you affects the ending slides, I think the wiki doesn't provide this information...- 33 replies

The White March ending slides
613 The Evil replied to rivmusique's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I'm pretty sure this is not how these endings are connected. If you spare the Iron Flail you will never get a peaceful ending, I tried that. But perhaps they are connected somehow, I've seen another entry in the files where Stalwart stops working on the Forge but prospers as a traditional hunting town. So maybe if you save enough citizens, kill the Iron Flail and banish the Eyeless that's how you get it. But, personally, I already found my best endings, so I'm not gonna play through all that again just to test it. Old topic i know. but i feel like i should post this because this pretty much was the only proper google search result when i was looking how to get the best white march ending You're wrong about needing to kill the iron flail to get a good ending. i spared them (even after murdering their whole camp first) and after forging the hammer i told the stalwart guy to shut up and let them help. or to be exact ("you did not just tell me what to do" XD) which got me the aid of the iron flail. in the ending sliders they seemed to get along great. stalwart realising they didn't have the skill to do it all on their own welcomes both dyrwood and readceras. I also told that one npc that crucible knights should HELP and INSTRUCT at the forge but not take over completelly. Any more specific information about that? Can we see your ending sliders? :D- 33 replies

Ok, there is a lot in the data files, but if you guys are looking just for the idle chit chat between companions like I was, the keyword is BANTER. Yeah, every file that contains this word will contain endless banter between the companions, fun times! Sometimes I have trouble recognizing who is supposed to be talking though. Anyway, just open them with the notepad and enjoy!
-
Well, I know I am missing a lot of fun there. I don't change companions all the time in my party, so I am sure I am missing a lot of their interactions, while some others get repeated again and again for some reason, like the one of Sagani and the Devil of Caroc, about snares. I also think there are different interactions based on different pets, Sagani keeps telling her fox not to bother the cat... As you can see, I am curious of the rest of these interactions, where can I find them? Has anyone found them already in the game's files?

Durgan Iron Ingots
613 The Evil replied to RocketChaser's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Nope. http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Durgan_Iron_Ingot You are wrong, you count the one from the quest Lair of the eyeless too, but this is a quest in White March part 2. So, it's 21 in WM1 and 15 in WM2. I corrected the wiki again. -

Azzuro & Other Bugs
613 The Evil replied to feydriven's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Azzuro is here! Finally. And his quest hasn't even finished yet but he returned to trade, haha. And a second time too! I already bought 2 items from him and he is still in Caed Nua from his initial quest, in theory at least, lol. -
It's just a luxury I can't afford. My barbarians already waste time to use stalwart defence (instant) then frenzy, when the battle starts. Then this death from above -> tornado combo... Then barbaric blow. By that time, the party pretty much has wrecked the face of every enemy on sight and we just have to finish the kills. Anyway it's my playstyle to focus more on damage and less on debuffing the enemy, I find it cowardly. Now, if only barbarians had a knockdown ability like fighters, monks, rogues etc. have... That would be a wet dream. :D

Someone on Reddit suggested that it might be only possible with the main char. I don't know, you could be right. To tell you the truth I did not test it, because I play a barbarian, I wanted to save the man also. But as far as story companions and inn companions go, it's 24 alright. This I tested extensively. With Kana, Hiravias and finally a hireling. If the game simply provided us with a visible skill-check number, reddened, we would not have to go into all this theorizing now.
-
Well, enough waiting. I hired a custom adventurer from an inn, I took matters in my own hands. After testing, I deducted that the minimum required Perception to spot the ring "Frigid Claim" on the woman's hand is 24. This is ridiculously high if you ask me, and also, the game does not give you a hint as it should, you know, those reddened out options you can't click because your Attribute is not high enough, but you can still see you are missing on something? Yeah. this was forgotten. On the other hand, you can cheerfully notice all the cold spells you can't cast, if you enter the burning hut with any other character other than those 3 classes. Splendid... It smells like troll. Anyway, I am happy to have helped any fellow players with this.
