    Well yeah, the discussion of which armor is better can go a long way, I just wanted to confirm that the armor's bonus doesn't go wasted on Pallegina.

    Yeah, this is just temporary, not a lot of good heavy armors as loot early in the game, sadly. And I am destitute, I really hope the money starts flowing in soon. I have the Sanguine Plate, I'll enchant it soon and then Pallegina will have a new shiny red armor, haha.

    Well, I am not certain about this and I'd like to confirm it. I have not tested it in battle yet. I don't give a lot of chances to ranged attackers, hehe. Anyway. So, here we have Pallegina, an avian godlike, with Elusive Quarry, that gives a +10 bonus to Deflection against ranged attacks. So far so good, yes? An here comes Aru-Brekr, a pretty red armor, that also gives a +10 bonus to Deflection against ranged attacks! And, my question is, if you haven't figured it out yet, when Pallegina wears this armor, does it mean she has a total of a +20 bonus to Deflection against ranged attacks, or it will be +10? Are the two separate bonuses added or is one of them suppressed? My opinion is that they are both added and the bonus is +20, because there is no (Suppressed) tag nex to either of them, but I am not 100% sure yet. Anyone wiser?

    Thanks monk, I'll trust your words, they seem logical. My goal is to get Pallegina early, but that's not all. I want the Doemenels' bonus skill and I am not so eager to side with either the Dozens or the Knights. That said, I hold no love for the Doemenels either. I'll just use them. I tend to double-cross them before, during and after they give me their quests, expose them for arrogant fools instead of the cunning, manipulating masterminds they think they are. My way in will probably be the letter, I hold no love for the other noble house either, but we'll see, I might even use the Salty Mast way. At any case, I'll be using House Doemenel, not the other way.

    Please clarify this, if you are sure. I've read elsewhere that it doesn't matter if you kill Danna and her vengeful boyfriend, you can still get the 2 quests from House Doemenel to get you into the Animancy hearings. Are you positively saying that this is impossible? I have At All Costs quest and I am about to complete it by killing Danna and then Verzano. I have not been in the nobles' district yet so no prior Doemenel interaction. Please expand on the matter. Also, if I kill Danna and also give the letter to the rival noble house, will that mean I should forget the merchant of the Doemenels? They will never let me even near their house?

    Sooo, I am in a tricky situation and I'd like some experienced players' insight. Spoilers ahead and all that. So, I visited Ondra's Gift before Brackenbury District and I reached the Vailian Trading Company. My aim was to get Pallegina. I got the quest "At All Costs". I have no interaction with House Doemenel up to this point. I've found that letter about the jewel theft but I have not showed it to anyone yet. Well, I went back to Copperlane District, at the inn, and now I know I will encounter Danna. I want to kill her, preferably in the Inn, I know I will fight her angry boyfriend later, I will also kill Verzano for putting me into this mess later, most likely. The problem is, I will get negative reputation with the Doemenels, does this mean I will not be able to visit them in "neutral" terms, do their first quest "A Two Story Job"? I want to open up their merchant, obviously. And I know there is also another side quest they give, not to mention the 2nd main quest to get an invitation to the Animancy hearings. Will killing Danna Doemenel or even opposing her block my access to all these? Or do I still have my chance, by using that letter I found? Actually, what if I kill Danna and also give the letter to the rival house of the Doemenels, do I still have the option to join the Doemenels' side then?

    I don't understand, I am doing the quest that you meet Palegina, At all costs, and I have not met the Doemenels yet. If I kill their girl Danna, do I miss the chance to side with them later, and do their main quests?

    Well, I am playing as a boreal dwarf with Deadfire Archipelago as my chosen culture. I see many extra dialogue options from time to time, based on culture, well not so many, but they exist yes? So, I expected there would be at least something, with Sagani... Nothing, she talks to me as if I am a tourist and not a local. She is 5 years in this continent, how many more boreal dwarves has she found? And when she meets me, she treats me like an alien, that really breaks immersion in my opinion. Anyway, not a major problem of course. I just thought to mention it.

    Finally, that's what I was looking for in the forum, for hours. I will trust you, and continue with my save. I just killed everyone in the castle, and when Kolsc arrived, I killed him also. But, I will get the Champion of Berath quest and kill Raedric again, correct? Nice.

There's an npc in the twin elms tavern that triggers it That's not even necessary. Your stronghold gets attacked by a certain kind of enemy at some point. After that attack, if talking to the steward, she hands you a message containing the details. But as has been said. It's not that interesting compared to other quests and events. Killing Kolsc doesn't seem to have any impact at all other than Guilded Vale not being as happy with your decision than it is when Raedric is killed.     I also want to know, do I get the Champion of Berath quest after I kill both cousins? I killed Raedric without accepting his quest, then when Kolsc sat on the throne killed him to check his loot. A fine sabre and other junk, that's all. Still, I don't know if the Champion of Berath quest will appear now or not. Should I let him live so undead Raedric kills him?
