  1. I don't know, but this idea grates. Maybe its because its potential gain is low and potential damage high.
  2. Any longer and the game runs a risk of getting boring. KOTOR 1 took people 20-60 hours. A 70 hour game is absurd, and a 30 hour is good length. So thus you can't make it much longer. Besides, I found game length fine. If only there were more minigames which would allow you to play longer...
  3. I hated the sewers. But all in all i'd have to say even hades can't complain he didn't get his money's worth.
  4. We know that. What we're saying is that Sunry is innocent but somehow the quest was incomplete. Alot of evidence points towards that. infact, all the evidence does pretty much. P.S. Hades, what are you talking about?
  5. what are you supposed to get out of a game in order to give it alot of replay value? e.g. Beat the game 6 times and have fun each time. e.g. be able to do something different everytime you play. How do you measure or decide when you've gotten your money's worth (replay value-wise).
  6. I could see that happen...if she reinforced his anger and weakened his self-control. I mean, how could a dark jedi not feel that much anger and evil intent?
  7. Obsidian, please don't leave us with this incomplete quests that are intriguing and interesting but we will never learn the ending of. BTW, does anyone know what was supposed to happen in the end of the Sunry trial for sure? If any of the devs or mods can help us here (as well as guarentee incomplete quests won't happen in TSL), that'd be really nice.
  8. But how would it follow our guidelines if you did the exact same things? Its the subtle differences that add replay value.
  9. Which implies a Sith plot. Besides, this sorta thing in KOTOR was very one-sided. Sunry was innocent. you know it because he's a good guy and a loyal republic follower and that's how SW (KOtor in particular) works. We have initially the info that sunry did it. We know that guy planted evidence. We know she (dunno her name so if I say she you know who she is). was a jedi. They were having an affair and the sith would like to exploit that. We know the sith are up to something and are never above dirty tricks. I guess that she mind tricked him or illusioned him and the evidence was planted in order to make everyone else believe it. They never actually say they found her body or anything like that.
  10. And how much replay value would be satisfactory?
  11. Ummm yes he did. have you read any EU books? Also, it was vaders intent to get luke DS. He wanted luke to unleash that wrath. It worked and he succeeded. I also have a theory that the emperor was subtly helping luke as he wanted Vader gotten rid of. Oh and about that control stifles the raw power of the force, you're partially correct.
  12. A very useful amount of nothing.
  13. Randomness in Character progression is not good. In fact, with this system randomness is awful. Where could it be implemented well? Not stats as that leads to the insanely overpowered side of the force. Not in health as that leads to either cheap quickloaders or insanely disgrunteled people and really hard enemies (because you have 1/10th the health if you're really unlucky). Not in skills because..well...that'd be so bad... not in feats because that gives me nightmares thinking about it.
  14. Yah, in the Republic Base. But that random guy who walks up says Don't Trust How Things Look Here. Look At Both Embassies To See What's Really Happening.
  15. Did that make a difference?
  16. More red herrings in the game would be nice. First impressions aren't always right. But only if its a trick done well, not a mistake.
  17. Did you read any of my posts? I said that they gave it away in Ep 1 and that was a mistake. I'm saying that if they had a couple really subtle clues instead of blatently telling us it would have been much better.
  18. Ummm, Vader didn't really fight Luke. Anyway, Anakin has much more raw power than Yoda, but Yoda is more powerful. Understand?
  19. My friend has connections in Japan, so he has a friend who sends him the show on dvd with english subtitles (it's probably going to be released here in 6 years like all japanese things coming to the U.S.). He also has almost the entire manga series on CD. I mainly read the manga series at Borders. If they finally stock the one I want, I'll buy it. Yah, great anime/manga. Anyway, because I don't want this thread to be locked and need to say something on topic, what makes a game almost infinitely replayable to you? I'm talking to anyone reading.
  20. If they did it right, the sharper ones of us could suspect in Ep 2 and finally be proven in Ep 3. If they did it right, we would be suprised, unless we guessed the twist.
  21. It could work. You couldn't be Kun or have that much interaction with him though in an RPG.
  22. Me too. I can prove him innocent (though he's not), but in the game there's supposed to be something you can do to unveil a sith conspiracy or something. Maybe its one of those things that they didn't have time for but forgot to take things out (like swoop upgrades).
  23. Is there a differnce between average and poor BAB? You can only go +15 or +20 by level 20. Also, wouldn't weapon master have same health as marauder? Can someone find that Gamespy link with the prestige class pictures and descriptions (not very detailed, but we could use it)? Or maybe it wasn't gamespy...
  24. Not really. Just don't reveal sideous is palpatine until later and make it a twist.
  25. Err.. Sunry was innocent. He was? But you find that tape of him murdering her. And there's nothing in the sith base or embassy to help you defend him.
