It wasn't even our fault. My GM is 100% linear and inexperienced. He thinks having lvl 1 heroes fighting numerous level 12-20 thugs is fine. We fight people 2-4 challange codes ahead of us. I think he's just starting to figure that out.

Jade empire sounds interesting and I am looking foward to find a demo or to have a friend buy it. But KOTOR is KOTOR. I waited 2 years for the first one to come out checking the page 3 times a day.
