I still like the D20 SW pnp system of damage by level. Gave levels more purpose and classes more distinguishment other than BAB.

Wouldn't they still be to accessable then... Maybe you should have to pay inordinate amounts of money for some crystals or the ability to modify your lightsaber to contain three crystals. Might give money a purpose...

I didn't quite like the crystal system overall...augmenting crystals should be much harder to get...they also help overpower jedi...I think saber damage should be done like in the pnp...by class...

I'm still trying to find that link (gamespy I think) to a more detailed description of the prestige classes... For now, any guesses on prerequisites? Obviously high BAB for Weapon master. For Jedi Master I'm guessing some treat injury and whatever serves as knowledge. Probably WIS of 14 or higher.

I liked using Carth as ranged. By the end he was even useful 1/20 times... Unfortunately, my use of ranged was more inspired by desire to roleplay and what I wanted personally than what was more effective. People, go with what you like, not what's more powerful. It makes the game more fun.

Ok, I come back to the forums after going away for a while and see this argument I helped shoot down has been brought back to life. Let it die. Come on people, it was like on the third page of the forums when I left... Also, the Vong are sometimes ok, depending on what book you're reading. I think they've been overused with the too much too fast thing (look at the length of the NJO and how fast they're putting out books). Also, there are laser whips (which would be time consumign and difficult to implement without much reward) but not saberwhips.

Well, what I like about swknights is that they have links to articles and previews that neither lucasarts nor obsidian ever mention. Besides, I think (not too much experience with this) that they're marginally faster to update in response to new news.
