The US has troops in Iraq right now. Clinton has changed her stance, not her mind. Increasingly, it looks like Clinton has at least some health issues, even if nothing more than fatigue. She does not have Trump's Energy. Course, his might owe to frenetic energy of the maddened mind. Don't know the ins and outs of her actual health any more than I know what kind of taxes Trump pays (or not). Do know what I see with my own eyeballs and there's something off with the woman. Never a doubt there's something off with Trump.

My point would be that the players have an impact on the game. What people demand and what they get depends on what they want and their skill at getting it. Iraq, much more than Afganistan, was salvagable. It didn't work out, but it could have worked out better with different players and a better coach. No counterfactual argument here, tho. Not saying that McCain or Romney would have necessarily done better. Just saying that it could have been done better. Withdrawal was a mistake that Obama wanted to make because he didn't think it was one. Might not have worked better for another president, but it needn't necessarily have worked out the way it did. It could have been better and it could have been worse. Saying the US didn't have a choice makes no sense. They didn't negotiate harder because they didn't want to. Why blame Obama? He's the president. For good or ill, it falls at his feet. If McCain had been president and things had worked out the same, or even a bit better or worse, people would be blaming him. That's what it is to be the leader of a country.

Yes. Immediately! It's turn based, so waiting for your opponent can take time, but it runs in background so you can haunt these boards and whatnot also. Not days or anything, but we're an impatient lot in our day and age. The controls seems a little clunky sometimes. The graphics aren't always pretty. Don't matter. Nothing captures the feel of the table top game better. There are no saves, and the RNG is relentless. Screw up and you live with the consequences or get a new war band. Wish they'd do some FB or 40K games like this also. It's tremendous fun.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/may/04/iraq-usa-urban-troop-withdrawal Don't know much about the other stuff, but this is an excellent response regarding the withdrawal. Addressing that, my take: Remember reading about the withdrawal at the time and al-Maliki's comments were part of a dance also. Kind of like the dance you all have here. Context is an American President who had no intention of having a larger permanent presence in the country. Easy to insist you won't allow troops to stay when your American counterpart has made it clear they don't want to anyway and will support your stance. Different context could have and undoubtedly would have rendered a different result. The withdrawal was not set in stone. That it ended the way it did does not mean it was destiny or fated to do so. Just to bite the coin, I watched all the videos you lot posted on the previous page. The wall and clapping videos were comedy routines, but after the Johnson ad that GuardDog posted ended, youtube drove into one with Abraham Lincoln promoting Johnson, which was also quite funny.

Don't know why anyone would jump through hoops. Don't know why you lads are jumping through hoops. Myself I do the links you people throw in your posts, at least some of them, so maybe the dance you all have with BruceVC is instructive nonetheless.

Great, now you're bringing violence into the equation, mate. Next you'll target certain congressional districts. Blaming you if anyone gets shot now!

HRC and The Donald are, based on past positions, closer than Obama and either McCain or Romney. Naturally people fixate on the side circus. More entertaining and easier to understand than two candidates who've been on both sides of most issues anyway. But all people want to discuss is Johnson's mister on Aleppo. Right? That Johnson fellow sure looked daft, din't he?

Seems like an odd election from where I'm sitting, but who am I to say? The Americans have a choice and they'll make it. Whatever reason, solid, mistaken, or just plain crazy, will have to suffice for their lot.

Hate to say it, but why would any company do anything but try to get the largest return off of their investment? Don't mistake me. I hate the consolization trend as much as the next bloke, but it's the way of things. It would be irresponsible for EA to do anything but what's best for the investors. That's why there're niche companies like Obsidian to put out great games like Pathfinder for the rest of us. As long as someone can make good money making a game I like, I don't care how much money someone else brings in by making games I don't.

Assuming motives and values is the very heart of bigotry. That's the definition of prejudice. Saying that people who support Trump are likely bigots because of his rhetoric is akin to saying that people who support Clinton are morally bankrupt because they know she's corrupt but she's the person they want in office. Could blame it on Trump, but this is nothing new in American politics. Nothing new in politics altogether. These two people, Hillary and The Donald, make the Policemen of Penzance look the consummate professionals.

New Trailer for Phone Release!
quidproquo replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
Always thought the most effective trailers appealed more to emotion than the detached clinical view of (assumes the erudite voice of experience) what exactly, ahem, does this show me of the gameplay, plot advancement, and victory conditions of the product? Aw, just having a laugh. Nothing personal, but the trailer appeals much more to the part of us that makes decisions than the part of us that thinks about them. My opinion, at least, for what that's worth. -
Threw down my quid and got my quo. Been happy. Just think of that. Game releases in May. All the blokes talking about how the game isn't released quickly enough. Been a few months and we have up through hook mountain. Card game is brilliant, but how many people had to buy card slips because of the China printing? What problems did the physical card game have? I just don't kin it to be a sky is falling moment personally. Not much bothered by people complaining, but I disagree with the depth of feeling.

Always find this myself. Tomatoes are a strange bunch because unlike most vegetables and fruit, nutrition to caloric measure increases with cooking. Less vitamin C but more antioxidants. Have to take the time with them so they aren't too thin for the consistency that I personally like. Do a lot of cooking with fresh ingredients, some from my own garden, but tomatoes aint worth the work in my opinion. Do grow them, tho. Lurve fresh raw tomatoes. Use tinned, bottles, or bagged puree, paste, and the rest for cooking.

Funny thread. what you having for dinner? Had pork ribs that I'd smoked for three hours, rice, and mixed vegetable salad. Ribs were so tasty even the hog would've approved if he'd had just a nibble.

Pictures of your Games Episode VIII The Fast - The Picturesque

Maybe they shouldn't have provided support for smaller devices? Maybe instead of phones they should focus on Steam and PC/laptop users? Depends on what Paizo wanted. Licensed product, after all. Me? I want it on PC more than the phone, but I played it on the phone just fine. Not often, but works when I do. Not idea from my perspective, but if Paizo demanded it as part of licensing, there you have it. Don't know.

Tempted by Grim Dawn. Got it in my head that Grim Dawn was Warhammer 40K so I went to look. Since the SSI games, Don't think any Warhammer 40k in a turn based strategy format. Searched Grim Dawn and like the looks. Site say action rpg. Is it a diablo action rpg sort? Alluring, but resisting the temptation for now.

If the game's delayed for interface tweaks, then you've got it right to rouse the villagers into action. Arm yourself with pitchforks and fiery brands and march up to the castle in search for blood. On the other hand, if the interface tweaks are attendent to bug fixes, some of which were completely game ending, then it seems prudent to let allow the devs to fix those. Paid the quid first day of release myself. Take the contrarian view that it's better to have something that works right before putting out more of something that works wrong. Yearning for a release before October myself, tho.

Been playing along in the mercs campaign into Mordheim. comlete opposite of the sisters. They have no ranged except spell casting. Heavily armoured and slow, the sisters would get into redoubts where they could take enemies two or three on one and present small targets to enemy range. Mercs try to get archers into elevated spots and shoot bodkin head arrows into approaching enemies. Virtually everyone in the merc band has ranged secondary weapon and each of them has used it effectively. Castingwise, the sisters were all about a strong ranged comet single target attack and area healing. That healing was central to many many victories with the sisters. One battle had matriarch and two purifiers with healing and Bertha had a healing spell too. Mercs don't seem to have healing. The single target spell is more expensive but can get fireball for area damage also, which will make things interesting. I need to get some armour on my warriors. Just fought a battle against chaos and those bastards hit my unarmoured lads hard! Didn't lose anyone, but a wakeup call anyway.

Except that Hillary didn't flub the meaning. She lied about it. Clearly Johnson flubbed it. Johnson can turn this to his advantage, not only for name recognition, but because he's taking the outcome on his feet. No long complicated explanations and no defensive excuses. Serves him well.

Changes on some dice
quidproquo replied to MauGibrin's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Surprised at how excited I was when I got a bunch of new dice. Not so much for the multiples, but Lapis Lazuli (which makes me think of the egg in Zork) and Outsider most of all. Truly, there's a bunch of great new dice. I never saw hematite, so I can't miss it. Aquamarine looks splendid, tho. Know some people complained about the dice in the chests, but I enjoy the dice. -
Can't lay this down on HRC. There are many grounds upon which to attack her, but her talk and her stances over the years, seems like much more prone to a warmonger charge than wimp. You can't bring up her mistaken adventures in Libya in one breath and then blame her for lack of military preparedness on the other. Course, she's enslaved herself to the American left, so you never know what will happen. She could do whatever when she wins. Seen several interviews with Johnson since the gaffe and he's taking it upright. Might just go from snookered to shiny in the course of one day. Didn't much care for the man before, but he's not huddled in the corner crying. He's out there doing the best of it and, good better best, he's flat telling people that's what he's doing.

Herve Caen? I thought he'as daid! Lurved Stonekeep Argued with some muppets who insisted Fallout Online was coming out any day. That was five or seven years ago. For all I know, it did come out, but I didn't see it.
