  1. Liked Wasteland personally. Spent many hours playing it. Didn't know Tides was going to be a console title, tho. Hope that doesn't bode ill for it. Pledged for Tides, but I didn't for Wasteland. Would be interesting if the title I pledged ended up disappointing me whereas the title for which I didn't pledge ended up being fun. All done now, so no point getting in a twist.
  2. Not aligned, mate. Merely attendant. Truth didn't care about niceness, but it wasn't worth the time to kick it in the arse and toss it in the rubbish bin. Sometimes the truth seems nice, but it's like the weather. Might like the rain. Might think the rain is nice, but that didn't make it rain and the rain didn't care. Rainbow's brilliant, tho!
  3. Truth has no care about nice and indeed has no knowledge of it. or meanness. Those are human ideas that temper truth. Kind of like mercy tempers justice. I think I read that on the wall of the loo.
  4. Sorry, mate. Unused to the forum controls.
  5. Played a couple of missions with my witch hunters. so far so good, but miss my sisters.
  6. Many people do whatever, but around here most people don't look to care about the news much at all. For big events everyone'll have an opinion. Elsetimes not. Most people I know see stories on facebook and watch cat videos or maybe talk about human interest. they don't care about what's going on in the world. Interesting to chinwag here because of the political discussions unavailable elsewhere but apathy, not partisanship, is the real evil in the world today.
  7. Don't matter. Conservatives (in any country) can't deal with a belligerent media, then they'll lose. I prefer my media openly biased. Makes it easier to tell where the man stands when he tells you. Jorge Ramos gets put down for coming out against Trump, but at least you know he's against Trump. Same with Hannity, if you can bear listening to him. The man is what he is, a partisan conservative. Beats some tosser who puts on the air of being fair but is actually taking a side. Viewers think the media is liberal. They're right, but it's irrelevant. Any politician who carries on about it is disqualified and not worth listening to.
  8. Forgot about that. That one tenderized one of my henchmen. I think the witch hunters are ace for looks. Looks and a more reliable impressive make it a win. I'll come back and compare notes. Which scenario are you on right now?
  9. I did it! A novice, a purifier, and a sister went down. Novice and purifier had full recoveries, but the sister superior has a burst eardrum. Like I care. I don't even think I'll replace her for that injury. She's a tank and spank specialist. She literally never uses perception. She perceives some bad guys needs an arse beating and run after him. That's the extent of her perception tests. Now that I've finished the Sisters of Sigmar campaign, I'm going to start a new warband. Either merc or hunters. I think I'll wait for skaven.
  10. Yeah, my mother superior and main purifier have maxed devotion. Everything is put into casting with maxed comets and healing circles. This scenario even Bertha has a 50% wrath chance after her first or second spell. It's really making life tough. If I could do it again, I'd try to get the ogre stuck somewhere and douse him with oil bombs. All said, we're doing okay. Most people have over half health and the reinforcements tend to be pretty weak. How do you like the witch hunting crowd? Tried it, but had a weird feel. Might give it another shot. Maybe mercenary. Can't stand the demonic bunch and not keen on skaven. Will say that the skaven are the biggest pain for the sisters because of the powerful AoE range going on. For direct range damage, nothing compares to maxed comets with high intelligence and good casting skills. Probably mercs, good chance for witch hunters, small chance I choose skaven next.
  11. Gotta reach out where you can find people. Probably has fewer crazies assailing him at a church than a university campus. Trump makes even a modest dent in the black vote, Hillary's life a lot harder. Might offset the Hispanic vote. Having Trump use Christian language to reach to voters is rich, tho. God has a sense of humour, we should too.
  12. They find it on Jimmy Hoffa. Interesting read, tho I don't think the real story will ever be told and if it is it'll be mixed up with all the other stories.
  13. Right now, down one heroic sister in mission IV act II. Put down the ogre (bullocks!) and the impressive (breeze!) and now they're starting to get reinforcements. Sad, wrath chances completely knacker or even kill my casters. Confident, but must put the chicks under the wing to heal. The main boss doesn't do anything yet, so if I can consolidate I think it might not be so bad. That ogre did over 250 damage in one turn and I risk losing people to wrath by healing. Can do it!
  14. The only battle I've lost so far is the skaven campaign mission. I had both my casters get taken out with wrath in early spell casting, which is rare. Seems to happen to me a bit more often in campaign maps. Even on that skaven map, I was on the last bell. When I went through again it was a breeze. I actually tend not to have people get knocked out, let alone wounded, but I ditch anyone with a wound. Yeah, it's a trade off because I need to build up people, but I can't abide most wounds, although I will temporarily keep people on with relatively minor wounds such as maimed for a while as I build up more talent. Skull fractures, however, go immediately. On the other hand, typically being flush with cash, I don't have any problems getting hired swords at a higher level, so I can be choosy. I'm willing to take my chances on maps where I can't always choose my starting position. I try my best to have a choice, but I'll take what I can get, including up to brutal. I've only done one deadly map, and that sucks. I want maps where I'm certain I won't have folks knocked out and thus risk permanent injury. If I were brave enough, I would do skirmishes, because a human opponent would dramatically increase the difficulty, but I don't have tons of time and I like being able to leave the game to do other stuff for a while. One of the reasons I stopped raiding in (or even playing) WoW is because of the time sink aspect of it. Still, it's a great game, isn't it? I really wish I had time to sit down with someone and play the table top game again, but it's just too much effort. Also, wish me luck. I'm on the 4th mission of act 2 right now. I think this might be the last one, but I don't know.
  15. Remember hearing about this man in school as a youngster. Cincinnatus. No dictator for life for him. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucius_Quinctius_Cincinnatus
  16. Yeah. How does society function? Human beings, and probably orks and elves and even completely evil people like the dark elves must, by necessity, have a functional society. Either these entities (empires, raiders, nomads) are temporary elements or permanent structures. History proves that these groups have long histories that impact the universe. By what structures do these entities exist? Evil, good, or simply fixating on survival, there must be a place for the warriors to lay down their heads and create new generations of warriors who are willing to defend the way of life in which they are reared.
  17. Actually played the Fantasy Battle RPG with some of my mates in 1987. I remember running a game and during a fierce battle one of the players finished off his enemy and, instead of going to the aid of his companions, went to pillage a fallen comrade. Thought it was so funny at the time I still remember what he said: "I'm gonna go loot Hart!" It still makes me laugh to this day. Love to see Obsidian do: An Aliens game A Lovecraft game and now you spoke up A Fantasy Battle game (or 40k if yeh must)
  18. Been years since world of warcrack. Finished the Lich King before they nerfed him. Still playing Mordheim. Don't think I've yelled at the computer screen with so much nerd rage. The RNG is relentless and the game has no save, so if you get ****ed, you just hope for a reach around. I've still only lost one battle, but I've had to fire about ten people for permanent injuries.
  19. The collective is starting to sound loopy. It should lay off the gange.
  20. Teacher: I want you to write your names on your papers. Student: Should we put it on the top right hand corner? Not speaking for the class, just asking a general question about what the teacher wants for the class. Teacher: I want you to write your names on your papers. Student: We want to write our names on the top right hand corner. Speaking for the class. Even if the man were trying to speak for the forum, the question is still a general questions about how we, the readers, are expected to see the cartoon. Kind of clever in that the cartoon is open to interpretation. You can see it as racist if you want, tho people see anything as racist if that's what they want.
  21. Oh, it's a movie. I thought it was a game. Hate the fact that most of the WH:FB and WH:40k games are real time. Have to catch this.
  22. Would've seemed weirder if he'd said "how am I to take this.". That might seem arrogant to personalize the question. Asking we is a general question.
  23. Hitlery and Hilderbeast. Funny. Better than Hilzilla. What monster is more apt for Hillary or Trump? Hiljecylandhyde? Medusillary? Cruella de Hil? PennyTrumpwise the Clown? Trumbberwock? Trumpicifer? To racism: It's treated like the worst of all evils, but racism is just the brand of differentism easiest to see. It's an evil of the human condition. Talk about it. Write about it. Pillory it. Rant about it. Teach seminars about it. Require courses about it at university. It will still exist. The idea of self and other cannot be expunged from humanity if it remains comprised of human beings. Use 'racist!' as a weapon to silence your opponents? It will get worse. If Hillary wins and the powers of political correctness continue to run amok, there will be worse than MothTrumpra in your future.
  24. Still going strong with my Sisters of Sigmar band. Great kit now, and strong spell casting. Between Comets and healing circles, I typically worry more about wrath effects than the enemy, although an unlucky run in with impressive opponents can still be dangerous. I had a demon take out a henchman in one turn and she ended up with a permanent injury. My next mission, which I've put off for a while, is act II-IV.
  25. Make fun of him for his meeting in Mexico, but MothTrumpra does himself some good measure when he doesn't sound crazy. Didn't foam at the mouth and didn't insult the Mexican people? That's a win for the man. Only better thing better he could do would be to fly over Mexico City and swoop down to attack Hilzilla. Sound crazy? Anything can happen in a year like this.
