  1. I don't think that will happen, but maybe. I sure hope not, though. I spent hours perfecting my Revan. I wouldn't want to play KOTOR II and spend the whole game searching for some information about Revan just to find out "Oh, by the way, Revan had his connection with the force cut off. He has now gone into retirement and sits in front of the TV all day drinking beer." Now I know it wouldn't be quite like that, but that's how I'd feel.
  2. Yeah I noticed. Valorum said that to Padme... ahh Padme <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just trying to save the embarrasment for someone who might have asked.
  3. The point in conceded. Perhaps you would defer your motion to allow me to come up with a better argument. (Thats based off Ep.I for those who can't remeber movie lines)
  4. I'll admit, I'll probably have one of my NPCs specialize in it the second or third time through the game. Still, I think that they could have added some better "cool new feature" instead of ninja combat. But whatever.....I still can't wait for the game.
  5. But that's my point. To me, a jedi has the "monk-like" quality anyway. Either way, I'll keep my trusty single blade as well.
  6. That's something else I don't get - Why are people all excited about unarmed combat? I just don't understand. For me, unarmed combat is cool in real life because of the ninja like ability - how someone can overcome an enemy that has an advantage - he is armed. To me, a jedi is like the ninja of the Star Wars universe. While the rest of the galaxy fires lasers from a distance, they run at the person shooting lasers at them to use there simple weapon - the lightsaber - to overcome the better armed opponent. I just don't get why people would rather by a ninja than a jedi.
  7. Exactly - That's what I say. For me, I just don't get excited about a gun when I can have a lightsaber. But, hey, if you want to shelve your lightsaber for a virbroblade or rifle, go for it.
  8. This something that I've thought about quite a bit. When it says that "the crew it dead or dying", I always thought it was refering to the "new" crew, not the KOTOR crew. Here's why: Atton asks you questions about how Revan finished the first game. This, I believe, not only affects the story, but I think is primarly to establish what characters could be alive for cameos/joining your party. But Atton asks you these questions after the opening with the Hawk's dead crew. So I think the dead crew would be a new crew.
  9. For me, it's plainly Canderous. 1) Canderous is one of only three survivors of KOTOR on every path. 2) Canderous was one of the more popular NPC of KOTOR. And for all we know, they may just be using "Mandalore" as a placeholder for all the press. Once we play the game, he may well be called Canderous. (This would solve all the armor color issues. As for the tubes in his helmet, he must have gotten injured in some battle.
  10. Yeah, no kidding. I played the game two or three times before I figured out what all the numbers were for. When I built my lightsabers, I would just use the crystals that gave the lightsaber the highest numbers (I didn't know what they really were telling me, but I figured the higher the number, the better!!) As a matter of fact, I still don't know what all the numbers mean......
  11. In the beginning of KOTOR I, you got Ex. points for opening a footlocker. I think that you'll start at level 1 and get ex. points in the beginning for doing very simple things.
  12. Months ago, I started a thread asking the same question (and I was later informed that threads before mine asked about the Star Forge). Basically, most people decided that it was probably destroyed in some Sith Civil War. They fought over power, and in the end, one Lord destroyed it. (Remember the statement made by the Old Sith on Korriban, the one who used to run the Adademy and then made you take that test with Mekel. He said something about hoarding power and destroying it instead of passing it on.) We know more about the game know, but I don't think information about the Star Forge was ever given. Oh well...... Take it or leave it.
  13. He opened Uthar's room for me! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I should have been more clear. "Hack" as in take out my lightsaber and break it open.
  14. Yeah, I never even put any points in security because you could hack almost anything open (places like Uthar's room were the exception). I hope they made some changes this time to make it more useful. And what was that Avellone said "between Bao-Dur and T3, both of them combine to make a full portable workbench". Between. So one is like a work bench from KOTOR I and the other is able to do all the new things. So I have to fill up my party with them to get the whole workbench....... I think I will end up just using the workbench on the Hawk. But whatever, I'm sure it will still be a great game.
  15. I remember months ago when some people guessed that something about Ajunta Paal would be in KOTOR II, most notably the "evil" that they discover. Most people shot that idea down quickly. But I think it is a definate possibility, especially now that we know we're going back to Korriban.
  16. Because around my place, santa is on a "budget"
  17. I'm convinced that we PC gamers will get nothing in return of being "betrayed" And I'll take you one better - I bet there will be downloadable content exclusive to XBox Live (a.k.a. unavailable to PC gamers)
  18. No way I'm blowing money for an XBox to have a game a couple months early. As soon as KOTOR II comes out for XBox I'm cutting myself off from all chats and articles about KOTOR II until after I play it on the PC in Feb (no spoilers for me!!)
  19. We all know that Obsidian wasn't happy with the LA bashing threads after the realese date was announced, but what did they expect after all the promises we recieved? Really, people are going to keep making threads on the topic for another week (And they'll keep on "vanishing").
  20. Yeah, you don't have a voice.
  21. Well, what do you think?
  22. The could be a poll: Why wasn't there a weekend programmer? - Akari actually had the weekend off - Akari had a boatload of work to do - Akari thought there would be nothing else he could say - The bosses slammed Akari for talking to us too much and not getting enough work done Edit: I think I will make it a poll
  23. Never really did like the Yoda rip-off. To me, it seemed like it took away from Yoda to have another Yoda-type-creature. Still, I guess it's alright because GL decided to create that "Yaddle" or whatever.... Why couldn't he just leave Yoda be Yoda?
  24. You're right, Malak wasn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be. But he was no Darth Vader. Vader and the Emperor had some intangable quality that Malak didn't have. The Star Forge battle didn't help Malak's cuase. Sure, he put a up a good fight, but he kept "re-charging" himself. Still, it's just something I can't put my finger on, but something was missing.
