Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.3 Generally speaking, the Z-order management seems to have broken down in this build! I get cards "standing out" in my hand display, I get the Daily Challenge incrementing banner behind sooner cards, but in front of others and various other Z-order issues Here a screenies for example https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c6wlnlniebdjijh/AAA1g60KrWDdSUKTQVZWwSGUa?dl=0

Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.1.3 There seems to be a generic issue with the overlay dialogue that appears for Ezren's ESB (but also for the Location Deck content). In particular for Ezren the "Draw" button is hard to access because it is partially obscured by the Spell being Recharged https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rli0fuh7ukhlhtr/AADfyqdokXwEfJRyGHY18HBla?dl=0

Update to this: I don't think it's limited to Dr Habe, I think it's the triggering of an overlay dialogue (such as the DrH Monster selection). It's not triggered by Summon/Select Character overlays though, or everyone would be screaming about it. If I can come up with something more concrete I'll post it here.

Blessing deck limited (possible issue)
mccrispy replied to RedPred's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Except in the digital implementation the is no discard pile, so there's no obvious indicator of the number available (except the counter for number remaining in the deck, but that won't always help - at least not directly). This is a UI/implementation failing in the App that particularly affects players who haven't played the physical game. -
Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.0.3.8 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Quest Party Members: Valeros, Lini, Ezren Turn Order: per party Scenario: ? Difficulty: Legendary Wildcards: doesn't seem to matter, I'm sure it has happened multiple times Location: Old Light Trigger: Dr Habe Every time Ezren meets Habe at Old Light the game completely locks up after Habe is revealed. I have to kill the App, whereupon it recovers on relaunching.

Why does Ezren casting Scrying during Harsk's turn end Harsk's turn (not sure that I have anyone with Scrying to check)? I know Augury can be cast "off-turn", isn't Scrying the same? There have been plenty of bugs with Augury being cast off-turn before now, so it wouldn't surprise me if this were a bug.

The thing is, there is no need to create an additional thread on the topic. It's not like this is the first time the devs will have seen this discussed, and I know that because they have commented on another thread in the technical support forum. Why don't we create countless numbers of these whenever a bug is discovered? If the OP had not already commented in the other threads and was a new forum user who didn't do a search first, I'd have more understanding. As it is, this thread doesn't offer anything new that couldn't have been posted in the thread in which the devs have commented. I'm sorry that you find my post so offensive and glad that you didn't need me to post in this forum, you are clearly not my target audience. I'm very pleased that at least *one* person found my OP helpful (albeit too late). Helping one person is enough for me. If you take a moment to think about how my post is worded and structured, you might also work out what my other (sadly unachieved) goal was. I've also learned quite a lot about the nature of this forum, and that's quite instructive for me too.

Sorry you experienced this bug - it's a very, very bad one! It's one thing when the game does something bad that makes it harder or responds in an unexpected way, but to permanently diminish your character - that's a whole different thing! Still, I'm take you found my post and that you found it useful. I have to say that I'm amazed how little response there has been to such an important issue. Maybe not very many players come here, and those that do have already figured it out. I wish I knew how to warn *all* the players (50,000+ download's, that's a lot of players!)

Missing quest mode rewards
mccrispy replied to Jpthebrit's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This is being widely reported and the Devs are apparently working to prevent the issue from happening. Unfortunately, they haven't said that they'll have a way to fix characters that have been affected by the bug. So the bad news is, it looks like you've permanently missed out with Sajan (does that mean you missed selecting his role? Bad, very bad!) You can try to avoid it happening in future (until it gets fixed) by following the article that I wrote for the main forum http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/88872-quest-mode-missing-feats-actions-on-you-actions-on-obsidian/ -
Yes, I know that this has been reported before, but it appears that nothing has changed, so I'm bumping the bug as it's still present in 1.0.3.8 Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.0.3.8 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Quest Party Members: Valeros, Lini, Ezren Turn Order: per party Scenario: who knows? if the Devs thought this was important for Quest bugs, they should have made it accessible Location: Any/Multiple Difficulty: Normal Wildcards: N/A Trigger: Ezren casts an Arcane Spell when it isn't his turn The most obvious time that this happens is when Ezren has to deal with a Summoned Bane of some sort, when he wasn't the one summoning the Bane. Any time the screen transitions automatically after his Check, it will fail to allow his EB and a quick switch back to his screen will show that the opportunity has been lost. I found half a workaround and that is to trigger EB while the dice for his Recharge Check is being displayed rather than wait until after the dice have been rolled for the Recharge. However, sometimes (and I haven't quite got to the bottom of it) he doesn't get the Recharge because the screen changes to another character before this can happen. I suspect that this special situation is when Ezren is dealing with a Summon triggered by a Villain, rather than by a Barrier. In this situation, the screen change doesn't have to wait for the "select next character" screen and so it bounces his EB. Very frustrating when he starts his turn down a spell or two because of this bug. Other situations in 1.0.3.8 where Ezren's Enhanced Spellbook doesn't trigger Encountering Ripnugget and Stickfoot at the Apothecary (Normal Quest): With Valeros and Lini present at the location, passed the Stealth Check with Invisibility and went straight to the Combat Check without an EB triggering. Interestingly, after the first Combat Check with Fiery Bolt, the EB did trigger, but not after the second Combat Check (you normally Recharge and all that even after the Villain - though it's not necessary)
-
This referenced post is not the same situation as the OP. Sure, it's a failure for Expanded Spellbook to fire, but the trigger is different. As this failure of Ezren's EB to proc on a Summoned monster (I suspect that it's actually any time that Ezren is not the current character), and it's still present on 1.0.3.8 I'm going to raise it again.

I've just had this happen again today! Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 PACG build: 1.0.3.8 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Quest Party Members: Valeros, Lini, Ezren Turn Order: per party Scenario: who knows? if the Devs thought this was important for Quest bugs, they should have made it accessible Location: Junk Beach Difficulty: Normal Wildcards: N/A (Scenario: gain a spell, bury a card) Trigger: Erylium Ezren Strides at the end of his turn to join the rest of the party who are camping out at Junk Beach (all other locations now being closed). On Valeros's turn he Encounters Erylium and nominates Ezren to Encounter the Summoned Wrathful Sinspawn. Lini uses a Blessing of Milani and Ezren passes the WS's Wisdom check. Now Valeros is the active character (indicator on his badge) and he has to Combat the WS!!!! WTF? This is Ezren's Combat, I'm all tooled up and everything has been arranged for maximum chance of success. But no, along comes a bug and screws up my plan. Great. Again.

Bug report: Ring of Protection
mccrispy replied to swheelock's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
As I said before, it may well be a generic but with all "Reveal" damage-absorbing boons! -
A character editor isn't necessary for a retrospective fix! All that is needed is for the normal Reward screen to check whether a character has the right Feats for its level and offer them as a Reward if it hasn't. This code could run every time a Scenario finishes and would quickly fix every Character. It shouldn't be hard to do and requires no input or editing by the user, the user just selected the Reward.

I've noticed some odd "stickiness" with the auto skill selection recently. It doesn't always seem to pick the "correct" skill - especially if you change things about a bit as you do with Kyra or Lini when trying out their various options in a given encounter (e.g. with bosses that have Arcane OR Combat checks. or with different Blessings, let alone choice between Spell/Weapon). I'll keep my eyes peeled for any other instances of this type of behaviour and report back (hopefully)

I know that this is a bug and should be discussed in the Technical Support forum (it has been), but I wanted to raise the issue with the general community to make sure that others have the opportunity to avoid losing out in the way that I (and others) have done. This is a great game that I have a load of fun playing, but this issue breaks character progression in Quest Mode in a way that has in-game consequences and I'm hoping to help minimise the number of gamers disappointed by their character builds as a result of missing Feats. So, that being said... on to the post You may not have noticed and/or you may have been lucky enough to avoid the bug that means that if you level up in Quest Mode after failing to win a scenario through running out of time you will not receive your Advancement Rewards. Most of the time this doesn't matter because the cards that you get awarded are always pretty useless, but when you hit a level that rewards a Card, Skill, or Power Feat and you miss out on that reward, it's a pretty big deal that has lasting effect on your game. Once you have missed out on a Feat, there is currently no way to get it back! Actions on you: Detect the Problem: check to see whether any of your Quest characters are missing Feats. It's pretty simple to do (though it takes some time to do for high level characters). Just check the Character's level, read through the Advancement tab and take note of the Feats that you should have earned and then check whether the Character actually has them all. If you're lucky, you won't have missed any - it depends on whether you always win your scenarios or not. I've attached a screenie of my Level 5 Lini showing that she's missing a Power Feat https://www.dropbox.com/s/avum0i1zu9qswnb/2016-08-29.png?dl=0 Prevent the Problem: the bug will get fixed, but there is currently no public commitment from Obsidian regarding a retrospective fix. So you'd better make sure that it doesn't happen to you. There are two ways to avoid the problem never lose a scenario :D each time you play, check your experience to see whether you are likely to level up at the end of the next scenario; if you are, make sure that you win or that you Forfeit - do not run out of time! (or I guess lose some other way) Obviously, if you Forfeit you won't get any experience, but at least you won't miss your Feat(s) and can try again (A call to) Action on Obsidian: Guys please fix this issue in an urgent priority patch in order to limit the number of affected Characters/Players please insert some code at the end of a Scenario to check for missing Feats and offer them as Rewards if there are any missing
-
If you Forfeit, you lose the experience but retain any Boons that you have gained, which means that you don't miss out on Advancement Rewards (because you didn't get any experience, you didn't earn any ARs). Whereas if you lose the scenario or run out of time you will gain the experience but miss out on Advancement Rewards. This situation sucks big time. I've just missed out on the level 5 ARs for 3 characters that I've had to restart multiple times due to other PACG bugs. Now I'll have to scrap these characters and start again, losing all the gear that I collected while I was repeatedly Forfeiting games to avoid missing ARs for levels 1-4. All that work wasted because I unexpectedly lost on the scenario that should have given my that important first Power Feat. I don't know if the Devs are still paying attention to this thread but it's really, really important that they build a tool that fixes this issue retrospectively. Too many players are missing out on rewards that they should be getting. It should be a trivial matter to compare the number of actual Feats present on the Character vs. the number that should be there due to Character level. A simple flag to offer the missing Feats could be set to trigger the Feats Reward on the next Scenario played. It really shouldn't be hard to do.

Losing Quest = Losing Level Up reward
mccrispy replied to Empty_H's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This needs fixing as a priority and with a degree of urgency! I have a party of Valeros, Lini and Ezrin that is Questing at level 1 (because i had to restart them because of other - multiple - bugs). I have had to Forfeit every Quest with this party to avoid the risk of missing out on their leveling up rewards for level 2. Truly this is a terrible situation where a delay in AP 4 blocks Story mode progressing, Legendary Questing is too buggy to use reliably and you have to regularly Forfeit Quests to avoid unrecoverable loss of rewards! Gameplay is great, but these quality issues in commercial software are grinding me down. -
Gale Armor Light or Heavy?
mccrispy replied to LAntorcha's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
If you ever want to see a non-treasure card, you could go to Paizo's website. They list all the cards for the physical game. -
That's not dissimilar to me. In the end, I just accepted that my locked characters are gone forever and started a new set of parties to re-level them. It's more fun than I thought it would be, but I'm spicing it up by buying 10-packs of treasure every 4500 gold (I don't do treasure in story mode). Reminds me of my days playing World of Warcraft!

Daily Challenge - On The Head of a Pin
mccrispy posted a question in Pathfinder Adventures: Closed Beta
I think something went wrong! I'm on 2/1 and I haven't sent Sajan anywhere near the Shadow Tower. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/16ko6ev1uc2363p/AADP5Dy5b6EbVvGu7J_3Y28Fa?dl=0
