Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Quest Party Members: Merisiel, Kyra, Seoni, Lini Turn Order: as party order Scenario: Swallowtail Festival Difficulty: Normal Wildcards: unknown Trigger: Nualia combat So things were getting a little tight so I figured that Seoni and Lini could take out Nualia between them as they both had an Amulet of Protection and enough to defeat one check without needing to use too many Blessings. Lini went first and screwed up (I have *never* seen as many rolled 1s as I saw in this scenario - multiple triple or more 1s across the scenario; also, there seems to be something odd about Lini, she's *waaaaay* more unlucky than any other character). She took damage and was out of cards. So our hopes rated with Seoni (not that it mattered, the battle was already lost). Only I couldn't select any cards on Seoni's screen!   2. Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 Ambushed by a Bunyip I had Inflict focused so I could read the text, then I wanted to check the effect of the Ambush to see why the Bunyip had got tougher. (As an aside, some Quest mode scenarios/Villains are impossible to solo with some characters, or if possible, it just comes down to luck) Shrine of Lamashtu, Scout Ahead reveal a Goblin Henchman(?) The difficulty die is rolled and a profession break occurs. Vault and Store round trips re-trigger the die roll, but only Forfeit gets me past it.
  5. Agreed, it doesn't allow you to close the location, but it shouldn't go back on top of the deck when you defeat it. Ah, hang on, that's not what the OP is meaning by "it just sits there as if I'd defeated a generic monster". My bad
  6. Are you sure? The text on the Nightbelly Boa is "If undefeated, put the Nightbelly Boa faceup on top of this location deck". The OP says that in their situation they have *defeated* the Boa, so it should have disappeared, not gone back on top of the location deck

The rules say that with a 12F Or 15C Then 21C you can choose either the 12F or the 15C, but you must then resolve the 21C. But my experience is that the 12F is sufficient, which is wrong. Rules: (12F OR 15C) THEN (21C) Game: (12F) OR (15C THEN 21C)

Difficulty: Normal Wildcards: N/A Trigger: Town Gates Lini and Lem were together at Town Gates, link encountered the Henchman that requires a Dex roll to avoid electric damage before the combat starts (sorry, crap at remembering cards names). Switched to Lem to get help from his Bardic song power. I often select options and then cancel them to see better which way to maximise my chances as don't often remember how some powers work. This time Lem had the Evangelist who I recharged, cancelled the recharge, then triggered Bardic song using the Evangelist (though I may have misremembered the order of this). Once I had the selection I was happy with, I changed back to Lini , only to discover that Lem was now the current Adventurer! How weird is that!?

Difficulty: Normal Wildcards: N/A Trigger: Scenario boss, declined temporary close Seoni encountered the boss so the temporary close was triggered. Lem and Lini were together at City Gates, Valeros was at Guard Tower. Lini declined the temporary close, but Lem attempted (can't remember pass/fail), Valeros passed his. Seoni discarded some Chain she had picked up so she could use her power, she displayed Fiery Globe and made her roll for the first combat check. She was going to use Scorching Ray with the Globe to ace the second check, but at that point (before she selected the Spell) a progression break happened and the only way to bypass was to Forfeit. I would show a screenie, but my screenies are 2.5MB

Exiting to Vault doesn't fix it Exiting Game doesn't fix it Forfeiting game works, but of course I was 90% through the game
  12. Does your screen look the same as reported in https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/87779-general-store-closed-item-not-awarded-locked-up/. If it does then that's 3 people reporting this issue over the weekend.

The item award didn't happen and now there is no way to progress. See screenie
  14. Darn! I even checked to see whether it was the Poison Trap doing it and I didn't spot it! I'll check next time I'm in the game and come back here and mark as resolved. Thanks

Failed the disarm and saw the animation for the discard from your deck penalty. Deck card count was decremented I'll try again later and see if I can remember to record all the info

Running with Into the Mountains, Night Approaches, Painful Memories: At the Shrine to Lamashtu: Kyra encountered Blessing of the Gods, immediate trigger of D4 rolling animation, discarded 2 cards, buried card, took 2 damage/discard Sidhedron Medallion; Merisiel took 1 damage with "Into the Mountains" being the ongoing effect. Henchman? What henchman, it was a Blessing that triggered it! At the Shrine to Lamashtu: Kyra encountered a Henchman, defeated henchman with Impaler of Thorns and Blessing of the Gods, Into the Mountain dice roll triggered, then the Bury 1 was triggered (with Into the Mountains still showing as the ongoing effect), then Kyra took 4 Necromancer damage; Merisiel then took 3 Necromancer damage with Into the Mountains showing as the ongoing effect. This was particularly annoying as Merisiel had set herself up to a Henchman on her next turn (by using Kohl of Uncanny Discernment), so that was screwed. At Woods: Merisiel encountered a Henchman, defeated Henchman by Recharging Throwing Axe +1 and a Blessing, Necromancer's Damage was rolled, then Bury 1 was triggered while the ongoing effect indicated was Into the Mountain, then she took 4 damage and died (would have been OK, it the Bury hadn't triggered!); Kyra took 4 Necromancer Damage with Into the Mountain showing as ongoing effect. This is getting very, very frustrating as I'm losing because of unpredictable and erroneous discard/bury effects. So the first of these instances was the expected and previously reported bug with incorrect triggering of Into the Mountains Necromancer Damage. However, the second one is an example of the point that I'm trying to make with this post: inappropriate triggering of the Bury 1 for an apparent trigger of Painful Memories, though no triggering gain had occurred. The third example was another inappropriately applied Painful Memories (though it was never shown as the ongoing effect). I hope that helps provide the information that you need. I'm probably going to put the game on hold now until you guys come up with a major fix because I can't progress story mode due to this set of bugs and I can't progress Quest mode because that's stuck due to the bug where you can't complete the rewards screen. My game is dead in the water, other than helping you fix stuff if there's something that needs doing to collect data, I'm done with it.
  17. Just to confirm that I've had this happen again, but this time with Merisiel. She succeeded the first combat check (where with Kyra it was a Fortitude Check), I miscalculated on her card recharge/discards and she didn't have enough in her deck for the reset. The rest happened the same as with Kyra (hand reset, insufficient cards to draw full hand, successful combat check, Barl shuffled into Location deck). Hmmm... I've been thinking about this: does a character only fall if they can't fill their hand at the end of their turn, or is it supposed to be any time they can't fill their hand?
  18. IIRC it is Full Pack + one other. Presumably the other is the one that gives Necromancer Damage. I'll see if I can get it to happen again and record the wildcards. It's weird because the ND dice roll animation happens, then the Bury triggers, then the damage animation fires, followed by damage resolution.
  19. I took a look at that bug report, thanks. The behaviour in my situation seems a little different (in particular, I got no animation), and of course it can't trigger on the "off-turn". I haven't made it happen since (I often heal on the off turn). If I see it again I'll try to capture the chain of events.
  20. Yes, that's the bit I'm not enjoying: bad code in the game makes erroneous, but permanent, changes to your game state. We're paying a premium for beta testing this code. No, wait... this is commercially released code, right? 'Cos it feels like beta code to me. And I certainly won't spend any actual money on it until it's much improved.
  21. No, I'm aware of the Necromancer Damage bug - as I pointed out to the previous poster who made the same comment. The problem that I was experiencing is that *both* Bury *and* Necromancer Damage are triggering incorrectly. I defeat a monster - I Bury a card I succeed at a check - I take ND

Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 Pass & Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Story Party Members: Merisiel, Kyra Turn Order: Merisiel, Kyra Scenario: Into the Mountains Difficulty: Heroic Trigger: Reset Hand with not enough cards during Barl Battlebones Kyra encountered Barl, Merisiel succeeded in a temporary close of the only other open location (using a Blessing and her +2 vs Closures), K succeeded the Fortitude check and reset her hand. Unfortunately, if overlooked this and she didn't have enough cards to reset with so the Kyra has fallen message came up. Then Kyra was able to make the combat check and succeeded (blessing, swipe, globe of fire), but then Barl was shuffled back into her Location deck! Man that was wierd!

Device: Hudl 2 OS: Android 5.1 Pass&Play: OFF Permadeath: OFF Mode: Story Party Members: Merisiel, Kyra Turn Order: Merisiel, Kyra Scenario: Into the Mountains Difficulty: Highest I'm losing the will to live with this one as there appear to be so many bugs that I can't tell one from the other and investigating them is so unrewarding because there's no chance of succeeding in the Scenario. CAVEAT: I'm aware of the Necromancer Damage bug, this appears to be something in addition/combination. However, here's what I observe: At some point I start getting both Bury *and* Necromancer Damage triggering almost regardless of the outcome of an encounter - whether I gain a Boon, or defeat a Foe. The ND due is rolled, then Bury is triggered, then the damage is applied. I can't figure out what the trigger is, but the scenario doesn't initially have this behaviour, something happens and then it does it that way for the rest of the scenario. I *think* that the triggers *might* be gaining a Blessing and/or defeating a Henchman (and I think it has to be a Henchman that isn't one of the scenario henchmen - can't remember how this happens, some sort of summoning).
