  1. I am really confuzzeled by the stash/mule haters. If you don't think a feature is for you, don't use it. I greatly appreciate that Badler is backing this idea with some creative uses. For example. I consider banish cards a complete waste, but now, I can experiment with a set of banish cards to see if I can complete a scenario in a new way. Haters, just chill. Badler, many thanks.

  3. In the last few days, I managed to get in just long enough to delete a character and go to 18 toons. After an overnight respite, I was then able to go back into character selection and function normally. I'm working on deleting another toon and see if things will work correctly with 17 toons, and start a new toon nbr 18. It seems that I can go into story mode now with 18 toons. My problems started when I was leveling up toon number 19. So ..... for me, with my loads of high level gear and all, even 19 toons is too many. Since other people seem to be able to play story mode with 19 and 20 toons, my problems suggest that something about high level equipment carried by a lower level toon (in my case I have two mules to save some odd equipment) may be causing a problem. I'm going to mark this issue as solved for now. If It starts crashing at 18 toons, I'll delete my game and reload.
  4. I deleted any groups/!parties. No party to select. So it must be create a new party. Then....crash.
  5. I have 19 alts. I have no party. And I can't go past the create party screen.
  6. DrDior 9252 iPad with latest patches I've been unable to play story mode for several weeks. It crashes every time I attempt to enter. I play quest mode to complete weekly challenges, but that will go away at some point. Previously, I was lucky to get into character selection and remove 3 characters to go down to 18. Then I bought an alt and started playing it with one of my fully developed toons to quickly level it up. About time I was finishing deck 2, it stopped letting me play story mode. It crashes every time I attempted to enter. I've let this go for weeks now, hoping a new release would be coming out and all would be well. Really, I'd like to play these alt toons that I've bought with gold, in story mode. I know you should be busy on a release, so should I keep waiting? Or, should I ask for a resolution?
  7. Let's hear from everyone about their favorite combinations. Card + card, or card + power, or card + toon. What is particularly powerful or fun? I'll start this with.... Eagle and Amiri - The eagle with Lini is easily the best animial companion for her. But, have you ever considered that Amiri can take a peak before jumping into a location? It is great to avoid those awkward intelligence based barriors, and a few other things. And when you peak a henceman or villian before you are ready to fight it, go somewhere else. Let's hear some more.
  8. I have played the game a lot, and I have gobs of high level treasure. Even with 19 toons, the game crashes constantly when I enter toon selection. I suspect that excess equipment may be the problem. But to my suggestion.... A chest to store items would be very useful. One way to use it would be to keep "lower" level equipment. When playing new alt form toons, you could have some equipment on hand, and the toon would still earn the correct scenario reward. I don't want to grind through finding better equipment for a new toon, when I'm going to trash it on the next level anyway. I'd like to collect it and store it.

  10. Could you explain why you rate this card so highly? It always looked sub-par to me, so much so that I don't think I've ever bothered picking it up after earning it. Actually, I don't. I rate the slayer weapons higher. But I have only seen the Scythe. I can't comment on the others slayers.
  11. Here is the final Best Cards in ADx review. I hope that you have enjoyed the post and especially the game. There are so many terrific cards in AD6, but picking the best was a simple choice for me. It's why I built a new Paladin. If you haven't figured it out yet, look no further. My pick for best card in AD6 is the Ring of Superior Protection. When I build a party for high level adventuring, every toon will carry one. Weapons Ranged - Slaying Bow. So good, I can't say enough good about this. I made a new Lini just so she could carry this. Melee - Slayer Scythe, but I have not seen the other melee slayer weapons Spells Divine - Invoke. More turns...this was an easy pick among several excellent AD6 divine spells Arcane - Sign of Wrath. But, I've never seen Whirlwind. Armor Light - Leopard Leather. If feels like adding +3 to dex and acrobatics is the best of the lot. Heavy - Adamantine Plate Armor. It works better if your toon already has inherent resistance. Shield - Entropy Shield has a reveal. But I'd rather keep AD5 Spell Ward Shield anyway Items Ring of Superior Protection - Everyone should have one. Supplement this with Sihedron Ring, or Ring of Energy resistance Robes of Zin-Shalast - A favorite of every arcane caster Ally Liberated Blue Dragon. I worked countless times to farm this guy. Now you can't part me from him. Clockwork Dragonling. Works fantastically with Ezran Scholar. Like and respond. I enjoy reading them. Thanks
  12. In the very first scenario, if you are earning the loot cards, you gain what I consider the most important card of the set. It is also the best card of AD5, Revelation Quill. Weapons Ranged - Venomous Heavy Crossbow +2, or Venomous Dart +2, or Acidic Sling +3. By this time, you will want all of them. Melee - Flaming Ranseur +3, Dancing Scimitar +2, Keen Rapier, Keen Scythe +2. Just keep collecting them all. Spells Divine - Sunburst. It's the spell you've been waiting for. Arcane - Two most excellent spells. Disintegrate and Gozreh's Trident. Armor Light - Bearskin is better than the alternative Heavy - Fortified Breastplate. It's surprising how useful it's reveals are. Shield - Spell Ward Shield. This is the reason you take one armor card feat and no power feat. Get it and keep it. The best armor in AD5 Items Mossy Disk. For toons that have trouble closing, this item is a real blessing (Amiri) Ally Pyromaniac Mage. Many good allies, but this one adds fire to both arcane and divine attacks Blessings Blessing of Thassilonian Virturues. It's a good one, but can use it's special function only by the toon that carries it. I'm sorry that I didn't narrow down some of the choices, But by AD5 were are seeing some of the best the game has to offer. But wait....AD6 gets better! Thanks
  13. In AD4 there are excellent cards in every category. I simply can't decide on any one card. If you can pick one, like and respond. Weapons Ranged - Shortspear +3. The only choice, but it's a good one. Melee - It's hard to go wrong with any of them. But I save Greatclub +3 to the end, and keep Demonbane Longsword +2 in my deck because it is rechargeable. At the end, you get a very nice MokMurian's Club. Spells Divine - Restoration. But you have to remember to use it before the encounter. Arcane - Poison Blast. Unfortunately, a variety of monsters resist poison. Armor Light - Robe of Enery Resistance. AD4 doesn't offer a lot in this category before the end reward Robe of Runes Heavy - Ebon Thorn. Very nice +2 to melee attacks Shields - Reflecting shield. I favor this type of shield over any other armor. But you get a better one in AD5 Items - so many good ones here Amulet of Inescapable Location, Flask of Fire (or Frost, or Magic), Greater Sage's Journal, Magic Spyglass, Necklace of Fireballs, Staff of Heaven and Earth. Ezren starts to shine with this collection to build with. Ally Eagle - among so many good allies, this card is a winner. Putting Eagle on Lini is a bonus!. Blessings Blessing of Gozreh - I'll always keep at least one in my party. Looking through this list, my post selection best card is Eagle. I've played a short deck with the Paladin and LIni. The Eagle is always a big factor when it enters play. Thanks and I look forward to your comments.
  14. In the last two decks, my top card choice in each was a blessing. Not again! This time, I pick a card that I will keep in my decks all the way through AD6. My top card for AD3 is Greater Aid. It beat out some other very good choices. So keep reading. Barrier Ranger Stash - This is a good barrier. It is a special form of Large Chest containing only ranged weapons. Weapons Ranged - Black Arrow Longbow. You have to finish AD3 to earn it. But it is the best of the pack. Melee - Trident +2. Hey, you don't have to be proficeint with weapons! Honorable mentions to Venoumous Dagger +2 ande Vicious Greataxe +1 Spells Divine - Greater Aid. See my comments above Arcane - Scrying for deck manipulators. Or Incendiary Cloud just fills my imagination. Armor Light - Steel Ibis Lamellar. I regard this as the runaway armor winner in AD3 Heavy - meh Shield - what were they thinking? Item Wand of Enervation (loot) very nice! Or Wand of Scorching Ray (but, it is still an attack) Or Pole, for non-arcane users Ally Black Arrow Ranger - a very useful card for range attackers Blessings Blessing of Norgorber. The really good stuff starts coming at AD4+. This helps you capture it. Thinks have started picking up in AD3. Just in time too. The next deck is going to be a lot tougher. Thanks.
  15. I especially like your comments on Shalelu. It is rare to have an ally that can be a deck manipulator.
  16. In AD1, we were given the Blessing of Lamashtu. In AD2, were get the Favor of Lamashtu, which is not much of a jump from the blessing. Still, I'm staying with a new blessing to claim.... The best new card in AD2 is Blessing Of Abadar. Barriers are a major part of PA. You have to figure out how you are going to deal with them. Weapons Range - I'm not picking the one choice they gave us in this deck Melee - Greataxe +1, Scythe +1, Warhammer +2, but the best is Impaler of Thornes (loot) Spells - Haste. This almost got my best in AD2 vote Honorable Mention - Heat Metal. This has an oft overlooked trait to overcome Lock and Trap traits Armor LIght - Blackcloth Armor. Reveal to add +1 to any of your combat checks. Bury to stop all damage. I'll take it. Heavy - Legion Armor. Better of two choices? Item - Medusa Mask (loot). Some interesting play here, but comes at the very end Ally - Rogue Ape. Add to any of your combat rolls, or discard to explore. Blessing Blessing of Abadar.   17. ​As we start off here, I'll state that I have a couple bias that keep me from pushing a card to the top of the list. If you have to banish a card to use it, I downgrade it a bit. If you think they are worth the banish, respond with it! If there is a best card in AD1, its hard to identify. I'll guess at Blessing of Lamashtu. I keep it or it's Favor form on 1 or two toons in my parties all the way through AD6. 2D damage bonus can be savior, especially when it has to be a wisdom or dexterity roll. Weapons Melee - Shock Glave +1. It's close, but magic with a reroll wins the day Range - Flaming Returning Throwing Axe +1. Recharge to add fire is pretty decent Spells Divine - Improved Guidance. +3 to any check and very easy to recharge. I've always liked this. Arcane - Fiery Bolt. Thank you for putting this in AD1. It is strong enough to have been in AD2 Armor Light - not much separates the choices here. Any that reveals to stop a combat damage and buries to stop all damage is acceptable Heavy - Elven Breastplate. This is competing against a rather small field Shield - Orik's Shield. I keep running into range damage. Item Orb of Fire. Your arcane users get an item that is very useful to help other party members Ally Incanter and Toad. Your Arcane and Divine toons get some help with these Blessing Blessing of Lamashtu. See my intro above as best card in the deck Respond with your favorites. I suggest that you comment if you specifically use the card for certain party types (small vs large, melee vs spells, etc) Thanks
  18. I took the morning off, and I'm hoping to stir up some interest. So let's start this discussion. What are the best cards in B/C basic deck. My top pick is a barrier...really! Large Chest - all the way through AD6, you will run into these. You can banish these at no risk. However, there is no better way to upgrade your weapons than to open some of these chest. They hold both melee and ranged, and they keep getting better. Unless you are fully stocked with the best weapons, the large chest is worth an effort to open. Ranged weapon - Deathbane Light Crossbow. It's magic and so useful against the early undead encounters. Melee weapons - Spiked Chain +1, rerolls and magic are very useful for starting out. Runnerups - any magic weapon. Unlike the tabletop game, which has a few monster immune to magic weapons, a magic weapon is always useful. Spells Divine - Fire Sneeze. This promo gives you a divine fire attack. Good for low levels. and - Holy Light. It will be quite a while before your divine attack spells get better than this one. runner-up - Find Trap. It's very effective and you might get to recharge it. Arcane - Charm Person... It's almost an explore for Ezren. Plus a chance for a really nice early ally. It will be super ceded by Haste, a while down the road. Armor Light - Festive Wool Hide. This promo really helps in the early going by letting you bury an armor for a new blessing. That's two wins in one card. Heavy - Mail of Escape. In general, evasion is a tool for specialist. But an evasion can save the butt of a toon that is poorly equipped for a dangerous early encounter. Shields - Magic Shield. It's the only card in the set that stands out. Items Masterwork Tools - These will be useful through deck 4, or until barriers get too tough for it's limit of 14 or lower. Healing Poultice - In small groups without a healer, this card is a bury for 1-4 heal. That's better than a banish. Ally Father Zanthus - He is a +1 Healing Poultice Poog of Zarongel - Another promo. Give anyone a +3 attack bonus and fire trait with a recharge card. Nuf said. Blessings Bessing of Milani - bonus to wisdom and dexterity in one card. What's not to like? Favors of Erastil, Gorum, Iomedae, Pharasma, Sarenrae, and Shelyn.... These all fit certain toons when they get their role powers. Did I miss any?   19. I've built my second Lini, and she has been very strong in small party groups. Wild Lini Max skill points on dev and wisdom Max Animal trick d4+4, which helps everything she does. Power and card feat with bow weapons Slayer bow, plus this gives a lock on eliminating the last henchmen. Now, when she gets her bow, her secondary combat abilities are base d8, + d6 + d4, +11, assuming you have animal allies. Boosting a bow attack with a blessing is now d8 instead of a d6 with regular Lini. Giving her a couple rings of protection, plus the feather, rounds her out nicely. She does not need extra allies to speed her decking ability. She still has all her incredible spell abilities, but no shape shifting enhancements. So she is not discarding and healing like a dedicated shapeshifter.
  20. I can't say how relieved I am to see a developer response Now I know that all the devs have not gone to whatever dev graveyard they go to when apps die.
  21. Yeah, I finally got where I could delete toons to get to 20. PA is more stable now.
  22. drdior 9252 IPAD 4th gen A1458 IOS 10.3.1 I can start the game, but when I go to story mode, it crashes. I had 19 fully developed toons, and decided to start with a totally fresh party of the 4 alts that I had acquired. Sunwrought, Scholar, Noble Seelah and Amiri (I forgot the name) So now I have 23 alts and I can't progress to build a new party. I had a party with the new 4 and deleted the party. But, to no avail. So now, I can't play PA story mode. And with quest mode going away..... ouch I created this party and completed B.1. I never added any experienced toons to this party. After completing b.1, it then crashed when I tried to go to the toon select screen. It's been unplayable ever since.
  23. I think PA is a great game. I hope to see it continue in some or many forms. Here is my idea of the best opportunity to see PA continue. 1. On tablet or phone, Drop quest mode and concentrate on bug free story content and platform stability. 2. On steam, concentrate on multiplayer quest mode. The dev team really has two products to grow, enhancing the revenue stream. Players can get different features on the two platforms. When all is working really well, there is still the possibility to merge it into one line.
  24. In general, armor is the weakest card to assign a character. You assign anything else if possible. However, Ezren can take one card feat in armor. Then in deck five obtain the spell ward shield. When you combine this with a superior ring of protection in deck six, he can stand up to all the random damage in decks five and six. You save so many cards and blessings, and you can have such a large hand, this seems a very practical approach for the old guy. I'm just saying, think carefully about those card assignments.
