  1. Yeah, I'm pretty much on the verge of boycotting any Starforce products as well. Vote with your wallet, I say. Besides, most of the games I foresee getting in the near future will all have digital distribution as an option as well. And it's not the devs. It's the publishers. Ubisoft is one of the main publishers using it. Codemasters is another one.
  2. Haha, apparently, it seems this bit of news has actually been pretty good advertising for Stardock, and people who wouldn't have bought the game before did so, even if the 4X genre didn't exactly suit them.
  3. Just finished Bloodlines. How the freak can you *not* outrun the Werewolf? Nice world/setting. Nice writing, especially fun for Malkavians. Disappointing story/plot, though. Being errand boy throughout the whole game was kinda meh. With Red Orchestra coming up Tuesday, that'll be my next game. 'Till then, I'm not planning on playing anything seriously. Maybe a bit of Hearts of Iron 2 here and there, but nothing much.
  4. No. They just like to think it is.
  5. As some of you may know, Galactic Civilizations 2 has no copy protection. The devs' philosophy is simply to provide a product worth actually buying, and a serial number to allow updates and so on. Someone posted the fact that GalCiv2 is selling extremely well despite no copy protection on the Starforce site. One of the bitter Starforce admins then provided proof that GalCiv2 is losing tons and tons of sales by linking to torrent sites of GalCiv2. http://forums.galciv2.com/index.aspx?ForumID=161&AID=106741 And the pic in question http://www.galciv2.com/temp/starfo2.jpg Go go professional integrity!
  6. 1936-1953 should be a pretty fun session to go through, especially through coop. I also love the fact that you can switch nations on the fly whenever you load the game. Makes for very cool situations.
  7. Hehe, looks like the game is running out. Good stuff. http://forums.galciv2.com/index.aspx?forum...&aid=106477&c=1
  8. You didn't agree. You just disagreed.
  9. Er, no. Only one will come out of this thread alive.
  10. Actually, yes. The Soviet use barium salts in their tracers, which give it its green properties. The reason it looks like 'lasers' in footage is because of the framerate it was filmed at. Random fact: the reason Imperials used green crap and Rebels used red crap in SW was because Americans used red tracers. Go go political statement!
  11. And another short preview http://pc.ign.com/articles/695/695169p1.html
  12. Shadowstrider, you don't know what you're talking about. Look at today's CRPGS. You still have to use the freaking mouse and click on things. You still have to use the keyboard to do stuff, you still have to read through stupid text. Hello? This is outdated gameplay from last millenium. As much as I'm not a fan at all of the TES series, I'll be the first to admit Radiant AI, if properly implemented (if TES4 doesn't succeed, then the next ones will anyway), could lead to great stuff, if you're into that sort of thing. Emergent sandboxy gameplay seems to be the 'in' thing nowadays.
  13. Oooooh, not good.
  14. Haven't really played the more recent ones (played through some of Wind Waker; nice graphics, but I didn't really get into the game), but A Link to the Past was a very very solid gaming experience. Fond memories, that.
  15. Bump. Just downloaded the Geneforge demo, since it seems some people here are found of it. Finished 1st area, which has pretty much only been a tutorial so far. The narrative has been decent. To expand on what TNO asked, from someone who has bought and played the various games, how is the writing/story/roleplaying? Particularly the writing.
  16. Heads up. Oblivion's soundtrack is now available on http://www.directsong.com as well for 9.99$ US. Samples are provided. Hmm, tempting. EDIT: Oooh, I like track 8 and 13.
  17. I always thought it was Midget
  18. Impressions + 5min footage http://dslyecxi.com/roost_impressions.html
  19. That's the thing. Hades isn't going to be playing PvP in any competitive manner. Werewolf, remember? ........... Interesting story?
  20. If you've played one CRPG Chosen One Must Choose protagonist you have played them all.
  21. You hate Diablo. You are NOT going to enjoy those.
