  1. As completely delusional as Magical Volo is, I'd take his opinion on CRPGs over most professional reviewers. Then again, I'm married to him
  2. Airborne Assault: Red Devils over Arnhem, give it a try. http://www.gamershell.com/download_505.shtml It's actually not turn-based, but rather uses a real-time with pause system that allows for well-integrated chains of command. Give orders to your AI subordinates, and they'll formulate plans for their troops based on the specifics you give it. Very cool.
  3. This game is too beautiful for words ;_;
  4. The funny thing is that if the 'boycott' works, the message sent will be to make console games rather than longer PC ones.
  5. Put your money where your mouth! Boycott time!
  6. I'll chimpanazizees *you*.
  7. No, kirottu supports the girlz 0f destruction. GoD 4EVA!
  8. I'd separate purchasing and renting depending on how good the game is. If a game is only 'good' (and on console etc in order to allow the possibility of renting), I would rent it even if it were relatively long. Heck, I rented Front Mission 4 when I had access to a PS2. It was definitely a fun game, but not something I would have bought, even if it was relatively long.
  9. Don't drag kirottu into this, jerk.
  10. No, the FRAG DOLLS are stupid.
  11. ROFLASKFHASHGASJKGHSAGASHAKSGASJKASJASHASJGBAS Ohnoz! Competition for the FRAG DOLLS!!! ROFLASLKHJHUYVTWAURHGAWNMRWB .... ROFLASKLFJASGAS>JGKKAS<HAIWUTWLKACJAKSCASKLFHASVA Girls are awesome.
  12. When I've invested dozens of hours into the bloody and still no sign of the 'good' part. Just because I don't mind longer games because I can allocate larger timeframes to them doesn't mean I'm accepting time WASTED.
  13. I wish I still fell in the latter As I get older, I have less time for games. Of course, that IN AND OF ITSELF isn't much of a reason why I'd want shorter games 'just because'. If the game is long, I'll just play it during a longer timeframe. I want a change in quality in the genre, not a change of length in and of itself per say.
  14. Oh yeah, aren't you looking for this? http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=sounds.Detail&id=26 It's in BMU format, but you can just rename it back to mp3.
  15. Unlike Hades, I boycott some products I would have actually considered getting. Namely, Space Rangers 2. Idiots. It might be a great game, but I have plenty of great games to play right now, and I don't know what I'm missing, and StarForce can screw a rock, so guffaw. Besides, a boycott's main purpose is in depriving a company of support. It doesn't necessarily imply not 'playing' the product. Ahem, anyway.
  16. Heh, the last time I've had something inserted in my, ahem, drive must have been.... 2-3 months ago. Civ4, IIRC.
  17. NWN2 better freaking have the best bloody soundtrack ever, with a larger variety of tracks. I don't want to have to choose between crap in setting up music in my mod.
  18. The more talent goes to Bioware, the better. Maybe they'll make great games someday.
  19. Linky linky????? In any case: Freelancer HOI2: Doomsday <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.gamershell.com/download_505.shtml Remember, LITTLE SQUARES SHOOTING EACH OTHER, so throw any expectations of graphics out the window. I suggest reading through the manual that comes with the demo or read some previews/reviews to see how things work. If you have time, you can read through this excellent AAR that showcases the pros of this series http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=977049
  20. And let's not forget forget industry pressures to drive up development costs.
  21. Geez, you're like a necroposter, only you do it from the inside. Gross.
