  1. I wouldn't apply that condescending and dismissive maxim to this case. The speed runs would imply that people don't have enough time and so must finish a game as quick as possible! " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was thinking the same thing. I chose not to comment though, as I had a feeling you were thinking the exact same thing as well, and figured you'd be more creative in the deliver. Excellent decision on my part :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was also thinking the same thing, but I said nothing because I knew you would wait until dorkface posted something that would convey the same message.
  2. The best part is still the ice slip spell.
  3. You're right, let's start a new thread about the topic. It'll be like KOTOR3!
  4. Like me.
  5. Ubi screwing Starforce just pumped this up a notch.
  6. I wouldn't!!1!! BECAUSE I'M A FANBOY!!!111
  7. Because Feargus played through the whole game.
  8. Yeah, it *sounds* awkward, but it turns out to be very innovative. Oh yeah, not to mention that the real-time nature allows for simulation of order delays. Depending on your realistic settings, giving an order to a unit can take up to a few hours for it to reach it. It really helps putting you in the role of being in the higher-ups, rather than doing EVERYTHING. Of course, you can still micromanage everything, but changing orders too often (depending on the settings, of course) can actually decrease the efficiency of your plan.
  9. As completely delusional as Magical Volo is, I'd take his opinion on CRPGs over most professional reviewers. Then again, I'm married to him
  10. Airborne Assault: Red Devils over Arnhem, give it a try. http://www.gamershell.com/download_505.shtml It's actually not turn-based, but rather uses a real-time with pause system that allows for well-integrated chains of command. Give orders to your AI subordinates, and they'll formulate plans for their troops based on the specifics you give it. Very cool.
  11. This game is too beautiful for words ;_;
  12. The funny thing is that if the 'boycott' works, the message sent will be to make console games rather than longer PC ones.
  13. Put your money where your mouth! Boycott time!
  14. I'll chimpanazizees *you*.
  15. I can do PR.
  16. No, kirottu supports the girlz 0f destruction. GoD 4EVA!
  17. I'd separate purchasing and renting depending on how good the game is. If a game is only 'good' (and on console etc in order to allow the possibility of renting), I would rent it even if it were relatively long. Heck, I rented Front Mission 4 when I had access to a PS2. It was definitely a fun game, but not something I would have bought, even if it was relatively long.
  18. Don't drag kirottu into this, jerk.
  19. No, the FRAG DOLLS are stupid.
  20. ROFLASKFHASHGASJKGHSAGASHAKSGASJKASJASHASJGBAS Ohnoz! Competition for the FRAG DOLLS!!! ROFLASLKHJHUYVTWAURHGAWNMRWB .... ROFLASKLFJASGAS>JGKKAS<HAIWUTWLKACJAKSCASKLFHASVA Girls are awesome.
  21. When I've invested dozens of hours into the bloody and still no sign of the 'good' part. Just because I don't mind longer games because I can allocate larger timeframes to them doesn't mean I'm accepting time WASTED.
  22. I wish I still fell in the latter As I get older, I have less time for games. Of course, that IN AND OF ITSELF isn't much of a reason why I'd want shorter games 'just because'. If the game is long, I'll just play it during a longer timeframe. I want a change in quality in the genre, not a change of length in and of itself per say.
  23. Oh yeah, aren't you looking for this? http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=sounds.Detail&id=26 It's in BMU format, but you can just rename it back to mp3.
