  1. 50 million uninsured people can't be wrong!
  2. AI overall is apparently quite improved too.
  3. I sometimes cut myself too.
  4. Not when you buy them digitally :D
  5. NWN1 wasn't too good in terms of being able to accommodate really large number of dudes on the screen at once, though. Hmm.
  6. My main concern is performance, especially in terms of how many creatures you can fit in one area without destroying the game.
  7. Yeah, in terms of interiors, it's less impressive visually, especially with their keeping with tilesets. Being able to mix and match different 'tilesets' will be a quite nice improvement, though.
  8. Yeah, the ceilings are very nice. You also see a small hint at the UI style where you see a small circle underneath the PC in one of them. From a modder's perspective, those screenies are bloody awesome. And those freaking height-maps. This one really showcases the potential for coolness in that respect. I'm going to waste so much time designing areas
  9. http://www.atari.com/nwn2/gallery.php
  10. Will you shove it? Oblivion has no flaws.
  11. Quick update. The game is now available STARFORCE-FREE via digital download on http://www.direct2drive.com
  12. I voted for the other guy!
  13. And I've won a Nobel Prize in awesomeness and a Darwin Award. Win-win!
  14. I just enjoyed killing Firkraag - probably my favorite part of the BG saga, actually. The story elements around it were completely irrelevant. Being that I tackled him on fairly early, it was quite a challenging battle. It probably took me a couple of hours before I finally took him down. Then I reloaded without saving just so I could do it all over again. Now THAT's an indication of fun/psychosis.
  15. I'm in the same boat as alanschu in that respect, though that may be my secret crush speaking.
  16. You mean, COOP specifically. I find multiplayer in and of itself irrelevant nowadays.
  17. Okay, I just verified that the Direct2Drive (North America only, dawgs) version of SR2 will NOT USE FREAKING STARFORCE. I might actually get it now. Question: SR2, or Mount and Blade? I had fun with the latter, but the only real draw comes in the combat system. The shareware version was very cool, but not something I'd buy. How does SR2 compare in terms of 'sandbox' material?
  18. Haha, that shore battle is one of my favorites in the game. Don't be discouraged by Easy being so hard. It's supposed to be that way. The harder difficulties are more suited for coop, if anything. Though, once you get more used to the game, you'll find that the next difficulties are actually possible - only, much more punishing in terms of making mistakes.
  19. Do you take advantage of cover? That's one gripe I have with the game. You have to be in RTS mode if you want to deploy your guys behind cover. In Direct Control you can't do anything of that. Remember about going prone, crouching and such, too. You can set the AI to be aggressive, defensive, or to not shoot back at all. You can also set them to move at will (not actually recommended, sometimes this is set as default, so be careful) or to not move at all.
  20. Wait, also, do you use Direct Control? One tank is all you need in the first Russian mission to pulverize the enemy camp to bits if you play your cards right. The rest is for backup, or for acquiring a second tank, etc.
  21. Hmm, though, as you say, digital download, eeeeeh? http://www.direct2drive.com/443/product/Bu...nators-Download 30 bucks, eh? Now, to find whether this version is plagued too....
  22. One advantage Freelancer has over Space Rangers 2: NO BLOODY STARFORCE
  23. First question: did you PATCH it? Apparently, the game is impossibly hard without the patch. Second: do you make use of pause and slowmo? Press backspace to set up gamespeed, so as to be able to control multiple characters.
  24. Basically, if CRPGs are simply just the poor man's PnP, then I'd take PnP over it any day. PST provided me with something PnP couldn't have, and I would replay it someday much as I would read a good book (INTERACTIVE storytelling, jerkface), whereas I wouldn't replay BG if paid me. Any freaking stupid feature a CRPG can have, it's already been done better in PnP.
