  1. Graphically, the DS looks fine. It does 2D wonderfully well, and is decent at 3D. The PSP does 3D better, but as mentioned above, it's more powerful.
  2. Who's making DnD Tactics? Some no-name company that Atari picked up? Essentially, DS is a N64 equivalent. PSP is PS2 equivalent. It's touchscreen + dualscreen + mic + games vs power + console ports + price + loading times.
  3. Bringing the PC RPG equation into a portable format is pretty neat. The dual screen and stylus can work well for featuring lots of text and menu-based interface. Since I already have a DS, I'll be keeping an eye on this. What would be cooler is if Obs was making DS titles.
  4. Wait, I just realized I'm going on conference leave from Nov 1 to 5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :'(
  5. 1) 1 2)
  6. As long as the toolset comes out later this week, I'll have enough distractions to wait a while longer. No biggie.
  7. WW was available for download when it first came out, not some lame PM that you said. Case closed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It still is. Case closed. http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=modules.Detail&id=3702
  8. Actually, that's all I'm really hoping for for post-release support. With the income comes the resources and the subsequent patches and content. The supporters get cool new mods, and the freeloaders get regular patches adding free content. Obsidian gets money. Everybody wins. As long as they're made by Obsidian, I have no qualms about supporting all their mods.
  9. I'm hoping Obsidian keeps up with regular premium modules.
  10. I vote for 1 and 4.
  11. The only guilty party is Eldar and you know it.
  12. Witch's Wake was enjoyable, but I find people hugely overrate it, especially given its length.
  13. With MCA doing the writing for the party members, I'm giving NWN2 the edge over FO. I don't really care about enslaving cities or being able to kill anyone in the game. That's just petty thuggery. I opt for genocide-em-up games instead of RPGs for that.
  14. I dunno, I'd call shooting in the back pretty significant interaction.
  15. <3 Okami artstyle.
  16. So why bother keeping up with the gaming industry at all? You already have FO and BG.
  17. Well, some people don't mind playing the same games over and over again.
  18. Hey, the game's almost 10 years old, dawg. DAWG. Represent!
  19. YES
  20. Try playing it in compatibility mode. Right-click the .exe file and go to properties. Go in win95 mode.
  21. You wouldn't be able to unless you opened up the original module files and scripted it in.
  22. It's kinda like those sites that gave NWN great scores, then a few years down the line put it on the 'most overrated games of all time' list. I think that was Gamespy.
  23. .... That is AWESOME.
  24. How does SW and DnD constitute standards?
  25. You don't know that for sure. Remember when the next FF was 'sure' to be on N64? They even made a tech demo for it. Hey, maybe Nintendo was too arrogant, and that led to its relative downfall. Sony isn't being arrogant at all right now. All you're "guaranteed" right now is FFXIII and its spin-off. Wii is already guaranteed a DQ and FFCC title. Yes, spin-offs, but you don't get DQ spin-offs being developed by the main DQ team everyday. It can go both ways. Heck, FFXIII might not even end up exclusive. Maybe the 360 will get some love too. Case in point, PSP vs DS. Squenix' support for the DS is crapping all over their PSP support. They go where the money is. There is no free ride this gen.
