Absolutely... ... ... Learn by doing was popular enough to spawn 7 sequels in the Wizardry series. And while UT technically released before Q3A, Q3A was played long before thanks to its beta stress test.

And Ultima Underwold truly was 3D as it had a Z-Axis, whereas Wolf3D didn't. Though 3D certainly wasn't new. IIRC Falcon for the PC was 3D, and I know that Activision's classic Mechwarrior was.

Why is that?

I'd imagine games still come on CDs because there's still the impression that a significant amount of people don't have DVD drives.

I have no love for organized religion. I'm an athiest myself. But it's very evident that believing in a religion is not correlated in any way with intelligence. Even if it's a wacky cultish fringe religion (though those people will probably get more of the gullible kind. I have met (and been taught) by many very intelligent Muslims.

With a GPA like that, you probably got SOME scholarships. Take a bit of it and buy KOTOR 2. Why did your mom throw them all away?

I'll give them a whirl. I don't typically play in 1600x1200 though, as my monitor's refresh rate is only 60 Hz then. Though it is less of an issue in a game.

With everything set to max, 8xAF and 4xAA at 1024x768, the time trial for FEAR gave me a minimum of 34 FPS, an average of 76, and a maximum of 192.

I'm not familiar with the Ge7900. It seems to beat up on the 7800 quite nicely.
