  1. What PC game isn't overwhelmingly buggy nowadays? "Publish, then patch" is SOP in PC gaming now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Almost all of them? The vast majority of people seem to be having no problem playing Oblivion. It's just the vocal minority you hear on their forums. Civ 4 ran fine, as did Call of Duty 2. Space Rangers 2 has no problems. And that's just the last 4 games that I have had time to play lately (well, Freelancer as well....but that's an older game. But it never had a patch released for it). The last game I can remember being unable to play until completion was Bloodlines. I'm at work right now, but if you want, I can compile a full list of games I have bought since Bloodlines.
  2. Cue Kirk vs. Spock fight music.
  3. But the main thing is, we all said it!
  4. To be honest, I haven't actually played on that machine. I'm just assuming it goes well, since no one else complains about it. I could definitely see diminishing returns, perhaps to the point of no real gain. Less performance seems awfully unusual.

Edmonton also has never come back from 0-2 to be 3-2 in a series! It'll be a gooder! :D LET'S GO OILERS!
  6. A machine at my lab has 4 GB of RAM. It's also the one that my boss/professor let us install the copy of Oblivion he gave the lab
  7. If you buy a high end system, I'm almost compelled to say that any game that isn't overwhelmingly buggy would have no problems being played (in terms of playability) on a computer.
  8. Meh. I call marketing gimick!
  9. I have not experienced this problem.
  10. It's the atmosphere and ambiance that sold CoD for me. There's a demo you can download if you're not willing to spend the money on something you're unsure of.
  11. You should play those CoD games meta!
  12. Awfully nice of them to do.
  13. Is it really that big of an issue, when a Google for "White House Floor Plan" gave me this? The do offer tours through the building.
  14. I find the raptor hard drivers overrated personally. It lets me load programs faster and do all that file transfer stuff quickly, but the place where I'm concerned about performance is gaming and I don't see much improvement, outside of the initial load. Having bucketloads of RAM probably helps.
  15. You're actually allowed to sell games made with that thing?

  17. On crap settings Oblivion still looks pretty good.
  18. Oh, it takes in a lot but think on this. If we had a more streamline system in which eliminates the IRS and the whole income tax system think of the billions of dollars saved. One system we could have would be a federal sales tax. Place an additional 3% to 5% sales tax on every non-food item purchased in this country and BOOM! Not only do we get rid the waste of the IRS but still rake in the money needed to fund our government. It would also eliminate tax fraud as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, absolutely. Because it's impossible for businesses to commit tax fraud with a sales tax.
  19. If you want to call what the USSR and China did as "Communism" then OK.
  20. Communism was never given a chance.
  21. How much does the US spend on bureacracy?
  22. I'm also not a big fan of the 'Council of Governors' disposing of a President so easily.
  23. Tyranny of the Majority and all that jazz.
  24. Or so you hope.
