Hitman: Blood Money
I wouldn't worry about the bolt action upgrade. I prefer the magazine personally. The Gun already seems precisely accurate anyways, I don't want to reload after every shot. I upgrade the M4 because it's a sweet ass gun to have a ton of fun with.

That's what the rumour mill has. Eklund, in all of his "glory," figures Pronger will be dealt at Midnight as Free Agency starts, according to a "dependable source." I wouldn't be too surprised. At least with the way things are now, I'm actually excited about the return on a player like Pronger. I'd still love for him to be an Oiler though I think the deal that interested me the most (among the rumours) is the Florida one for Jay Boumeester and Horton. Some Anahiem fans had some interesting proposals that included players like Joffrey Lupul and Giguere. Given that we still need some more scoring IMO, as well as a goalie (sounds like Roli is on the outs...but who knows with the media and their "sources"), I'm not terribly adverse to the idea. I wasn't really sold on the Toronto deal, even with Steen. But I'm not too familiar with Toronto, outside of their fans in my area that seem insistent that they can get any player they want for the scraps on their team. At least I won't have to listen to any more "We'll just sign Redden" comments from them (or fans of any other team). I have also heard some people (I think mostly just fans though, rather than the media) talking about a possible trade with the Rangers. Though it was looking more at their youth, focusing on players like Marc Staal and Montoya.

I heard a great quote from Bob Stauffer on Total Sports today with respect to a fan commenting that Roenick would be perfect for Toronto: "He's not very good. He's over the hill. He'll want a large salary. He's prone to injury." :D

Hitman: Blood Money
I saw the crappy movie!

Vampire: Bloodlines.
My Ventrue was my most satisfying game experience. Domination and mad firearm skills...I was a super badass. Picked the solo ending which is the best ending IMO as well. My Toreador and Malkavian playthrough were equal. I picked the Anarchs with my Toreador, and the Kuei-Jin with my Malkavian.

Combat Mission games
Okey Doke. I wonder if this one is going to carry on multiple turns. The fighting seems less intense at this point than it did last round.

Vampire: Bloodlines.
It had a cool soundtrack.

Redden resigns with Ottawa for 2 years at $6.5 million each.

CooP DooM 3
I"d need to dig up my discs. I think I lent them to my roommate's brother, which likely means they're gone forever.

Intuitive Rules - 2nd Ed. AD&D vs. D&D 3E/3.5
Calling people "lost souls" was said in jest, and not an actual insult. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You say stuff like it all the time though, so I figured you weren't talking "in jest."

NWN2 Multiplatform Support
The thing is though, do all 1000 of those people not buy the game if it doesn't come out for Linux?
-
NWN2 Multiplatform Support
I think the responsibility lies more in the linux community. They need to convince game developers that it's easy (and profitable) to make games for linux. I also think they just flat out need to keep trying to expand their user base. With DirectX out there though, it's a tough sell.
-
NWN2 Multiplatform Support
It may be cheaper and more flexible, but it's also way less easier to use (you conceded this point as well). Furthermore, I think you underestimate Microsoft's relationships with games companies and hardware manufacturers for supporting DirectX. They work with ATI and nVidia for drivers as well as hardware features. They work with game companies to expand and improve the DirectX library. When John Carmack is starting to sway at the impressiveness of DirectX, I wonder how much longer OpenGL will still be used for gaming.

What are you playing ...
I never did finish up the original Parasite Eve, but I did enjoy it.

NWN2 Multiplatform Support
Because it's cheaper? Besides, they do receive support from Microsoft with respect to DirectX and whatnot. It's just as much of a reflection of the consumer base as it is "solidifying Microsoft's monopoly on the OS-market." It costs money to make it for Linux, and likely wouldn't result in that big of a turn around. Yeah, you might get decent Linux sales, but it's hard to say if they wouldn't have had some of those sales if it was Windows only. There is a large crossover. I'm not sure how you can accuse them of being irresponsible. You could argue it would be irresponsible for them as a business to waste resources for negligible return. To be perfectly frank, can you imagine how much more difficult things would be if there was an even wider assortment of basic operating systems available? Not only would a developer of PC games have to deal with different hardware issues, they'd have to deal with the nuances of different OSes. Including how those different operating systems deal with the different hardware! I suspect it'd be a mass exodus of PC gaming, as it'd become much less coss effective (than it already can be) to make a game for the PC.

Meh, seemed like on topic discussion to me.

Generic RPGs VS story driven
Exactly. The best story in the world means **** if it's told poorly. When people refer to the "quality" of the story, I figure the presentation of said story is included in it. Especially if you want to take abstractions of the story.

I haven't seen it. I hadn't heard many good things about it though.

Intuitive Rules - 2nd Ed. AD&D vs. D&D 3E/3.5
So? I don't insult people and get all hostile if they prefer 2nd edition. We were talking about how intuitive it is compared to 2nd edition, not which is better. Given the responses that have occurred while you were gone, seems like I'm not the only person. Surely you will put in your quibble about AoO right about now. So? You were alleging that the only reason why I could make the relationship that a higher number in armor rating would be better is because of previous precedent.

Hitman: Blood Money
One of my favourite missions is when I put a bomb in a suitcase when the guy wasn't looking, and when he delivered it, I set it off, killing both my targets.
-
Hitman: Blood Money
It certainly can be, if you want it to be. The only time I went on any thing resembling the kinds of killing sprees they went on is when the witness thing got out of control and basically everyone saw me. That and when the Oilers lost.

Welcome Back Moderator Eldar
What's so inticing about this modship thing? I definitely would not want any part of it (plus I'd be a bad mod too).

What decent FREE firewalls are out there?
Oh wait...I guess I did fall victim to the Blaster Worm.
