  1. I'd be surprised if any large scale game had nothing cut from it.
  2. The D&D games I have gotten are the Baldur's Gates, Icewind Dales, Planescape: Torment, and an old Silver Pack that had a multitude of games, which I got because I was a big fan of the original Eye of the Beholder.
  3. I bought it because I heard it was a good game.
  4. Good games = good games. If you were to title Fallout "Bwatibatta" instead, it'd still be the same great game that was Fallout.
  5. I'd buy the better game. This is because I like good games. As you say....it sets the initial expectations. The quality of the game itself still supercedes this.
  6. I think it's more the idea that the mere name of the game has you placing additional requirements on the game. To the point where things are deal breakers, and you will write it off, only because of the name. If there was a game that you really enjoyed playing, does it really matter what it is called?
  7. What league do you play in?
  8. Even if it was everything you were looking for in a computer game?
  9. So you've been keeping track of your goals and assists in roller hockey since kindergarten?
  10. Just catching the spirit of Fallout is not enough for me, especially if they are going to put Fallout in the title. Fallout 1 caught the spirit of Wasteland but was way too different to be called Wasteland 2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes you've stated this numerous times. To be honest, I like good games. If Fallout 3 had zero in common with Fallout 1 and 2, but was the best game I'd ever seen from a design and gameplay perspective, I'd still be elated.
  11. Good to see Krookie is a modest one.
  12. That's typically the definition I see applied to nerd as well, but I figured I'd play along. I didn't realize that Sedgwick was killed in midsentence, but I do remember him giving a rally speech about how they were safe from gunfire, and then was picked off with a long range shot. Must have been wonderful for morale.
  13. Oh god please don't tell me you are Psychomoth....
  14. That is something that I could, unfortunately, see not be making the cut. But who knows. One of the things I enjoyed about Fallout was the dark humour. It added to the Fallout charm that I'd like to see in Fallout 3. I'm still hoping they capture this spirit of Fallout in Fallout 3.
  15. The thing is, if you punch that person for not being a nerd, it'll only end badly for you. Because they are not a nerd, their ability to fight back dwarfs your own. So while they may be a **** with a broken nose, you'll be getting your butt whooped. Probably by many people that don't like the fact you just cheapshotted one of their friends (which they'll have, since they aren't nerds).
  16. Your comment was directed towards called shots and uber death animations. I'd imagine that the death animations have the potential to be infinitely more gruesome, given that my critical hit to the head of someone will not result in me blowing a whole out of the side of their body.
  17. If it truly is Morrowind with Guns, it's not that much of a stretch to include called shots.
  18. In general. Though at the same time, I wouldn't really consider it to be a great demonstration of the toughness of the league. Sure it's great that he skated off on his own two feet, but the video doesn't show that. A horrible accident of a hockey skate cutting some dude's throat in a freak accident.
  19. I hope I'm not the only person that found the incident involving Clint Malarchuk uncool. According to wikipedia, 7 people in the crowd fainted, and two had heart attacks. Two players vomitted.

Well, I'm assuming you've never had your girl kidnapped by international drug dealers that were part of an elite special forces division in Vietnam, had them smash into your house, and so on. But yeah, it's weird. I never really noticed it before. In any case, since he was mentioned, I must state that Jung is a crackpot!
  21. *Superdense objects famously end up as black holes, depending on whether they transcend their Schwartzchild radius and are above their Chandrasekhar limit; otherwise they might just end up as white dwarf or neutron stars. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure that supernovas that don't become black holes don't become white dwarves, because the stars that contain a lot of mass, but below the Chadrasekhar limit, are the ones that become white dwarves. In fact, all a black hole really is is a neutron star that has enough mass to put the event horizon above the surface of the planet.
  22. I never liked Dogmeat. It was particularly annoying when he followed me around because I was wearing a leather jacket.
  23. I have played the demo briefly for X3, but I couldn't really get into it. I'll give it another try later though.
