Yeah I don't bother with a router because we are given two IPs by default. Good for me to know in the future.

Turns out the problem was on my ISP's side. I overlooked a troubleshooting situation, which was REMOVE my roommate from the network, reset the modem, and see if I can get the internet. Turns out the second IP we have was dead, and they had to reprovision it. Oh well, my computer was due for a reformat anyways. It was behaving erratically for the past 5 months or so.

Tried the ipconfig commands to no avail. I also tried netsh winsock reset which didn't work. So I figured, what the hey, time to reformat anyways. Which still didn't fix the problem. I know the hub/cable/port are fine, because I tested it on my roommate's computer. Leads me to believe that there is something pooched with my computer. Strange though, because I have two Ethernet jacks in the back, and neither of them are working (same problem). Going to pick up a backup NIC and see what that does for me. If that doesn't work, I'm going to test my internet with a different ISP.

I thought they did for the SNES version. It was nothing special really. Just one of the goal scoring celebrations with a cup in one of the player's hands instead.

I have tried some disconnects and reconnects, but I'll try some more variations of it.

Okay, here's the story: I was busy lalalalaing and surfing the internet yesterday at around 6:30 PM. Then I had to go to basketball. After coming home from basketball, my computer was telling me I had "No or Limited Connectivity." My roommate mentioned we had lost the internet, and rebooting the computer seemed to work fine for him. It did not work for me however!!! As far as I can tell, I lost the internet without doing anything (since I wasn't even home). I've tried all sorts of stuff like rebooting, disabling/enabling the onboard ethernet connection, repairing (about a billion times), switching ports on the Hub (not a router! Just a Hub) and all sorts of fun stuff like that. Things work fine on my roommate's computer (which I am sending this message on), but I have had no luck the past day trying to get my internet connection to work. I'm going to borrow an old network card from my Dad and see how that goes, but that won't be until later this evening. Frustrated!!! Gah!

Team is playing well (except for that Colorado stinker) for the past couple of weeks though. Optimism renewed! (though it was never really gone, I'm a giant Oilers homer).

Is there an age restriction on braces? While I don't entirely disagree (I'm 26), my best friend got them when he was like 23 or 24. Regardless of whether or not I'll get them, I still have crooked teeth haha. At least they are symmetrical though!

The interesting thing about this game is we are playing a team that is lower than us in the standings!!

The Kuei-Jin ending may have been perceived as somewhat lackluster by some people. I enjoyed the anti-climacticness of it though!

If only we played Anaheim 82 games a year!

I thought Splinter Cell and Chaos Theory were both excellent games. The two weaker games of the series (Pandora Tomorrow and Double Agent) were developed in Shanghai (well, current gen Double Agent was Montreal, but I don't know who designed the primary story).

I'll take them any way I can.

I haven't really followed this game too closely. I have a Radeon X1900 XTX and it ran Bioshock silky smooth. I still use Windows XP though, so I won't have DX10 (that I know of anyways). Should I wait until I move on to Vista before getting this game?

There are also adults that do not have a good grasp of what is reality and what is fiction.

Just finished up HL2: Episode 2, which was chock full of FPS awesomeness. And Portal....Portal was awesome. I have Mask of the Betrayer, but I haven't been able to get into it yet because of les school.

Well I have played through Portal. Funny thing is, despite having played through it, I don't want to cross it off the list of games I am looking forward too! It was a blast.

If I could +rep I would. I remember my friend making a comment one time about how she was having a really tough time and when she told another one of her friends about it, the response was "that's it?" She was understandably livid. I've had some horrible things happen over the course of my life, which lends me perspective and helps me roll with a lot of the negative that can happen so it doesn't bother me much. But I always make sure to not judge someone for having a hard time dealing with an issue that I may not feel is that big of a deal were it to happen to me.
