  1. No. Josh explicitly said that the Project Louisiana they're working on isn't Fallout and Paradox only just bought the WOD rights. That Wikipedia section is also missing the RPG that's about to get announced.
  2. You are correct: http://www.pcgamer.com/pillars-of-eternity-2-would-be-set-in-a-whole-new-world/
  3. This is probably my most hyped game at the moment and I don't even know anything about it, heh. Since it's been in development for a while already I expect it to be released only a few months after being announced (maybe sometime this year? Brian Heins' LinkedIn page said he's been the project lead on it since February 2014, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch).
  4. A few years ago I would have said yes, but now it would just mean it's time taken away from Pillars development. The problem with Obsidian potentially working on another Fallout many people seem to not realize is that the most noteworthy of the employees who are still in the company have moved on to the Pillars team (Sawyer, Fenstermaker, etc.) If they do work on another Fallout game, that leaves two possibilities: a) Give Fallout to less experienced people while Sawyer and his team work on Pillars 2, or b) the opposite. My opinion: I'm extremely opposed to B, since I personally prefer the Pillars universe over Fallout's and I want the same team to devote their attention to the sequel. On the other hand, I wouldn't be against A. Obsidian has always been about finding new talented people to work on their games (heck, they already proved that with Ziets and Gonzalez), and Fallout is a franchise that typically never has the same team working on multiple games (with the possible exception of 3 and 4, I haven't payed much attention to them so I wouldn't know.)
  5. https://twitter.com/BrianFargo/status/704768060733829120 Obsidian Wasteland 3 confirmation?
  6. Did you play Age of Decadence, Serpent in the Staglands and Underrail?Because if you didn't, you didn't play the best RPGs in 2015. I played halfway through AoD but stopped when I realized I wasn't going to see any female characters. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that though since it was developed by a Codex staff member. On topic, PoE was my GOTY too. It's an amazing game in my opinion.
  7. You do realise there is a big difference between a male prostitute and being gay? Um, yes? New Vegas had plenty of gay characters who weren't prostitutes. Not sure how you came up with that one. Bull. If we're only counting companions, New Vegas alone had Arcade and Veronica who were purely gay. Anyway sorry for going off topic, I just hate it when people spread misinformation.
  8. I'd like to play a gay character too, and I hope you would be allowed to do it, but get executed or something if you're caught for realism's sake. I don't know if they would be willing to do something as dark as this though. Anyway I think something like this is unlikely right now, considering Sawyer is currently knee deep in Pillars 2. Obsidian isn't exactly pro-romance, so you probably wouldn't get a chance to have sex with other guys, but beyond that nothing prevents from making a gay character even in that kind of setting. I mean, it's your character after all. It's not that Obsidian is against romance, it's just that they're a lot more subtle about it than most other developers. There was basically romance in Mask of the Betrayer and KotOR 2, even if the characters weren't kissing eachother awkwardly Bioware-style. And New Vegas had all those Lady Killer and Confirmed Bachelor dialogue options to hit on a bunch of people. I'm pretty sure New Vegas had more gay characters than any Bioware game.
  9. Not really. Nothing is "objectively" evil. What would be evil to one person would be considered kindhearted to another (yes, even the things you listed). Nah, objective Goodness and objective Truth both exist. Of the classic three only Beauty is relative. Don't agree with you there. Beauty, goodness, and even truth are all in the eye of the beholder, and are therefore relative. Hell, have you looked at the US elections, or just politics in general? All these people have such diverging opinions on what's the truth, what is best for their object of interest, and arguing that what they think is the "goodest" or most kind.

  11. http://sgiz.mobi/s3/a6153476587f Make sure to list Alpha Protocol as one of your favorite games.

  13. Urquhart said about a year ago that a Pathfinder RPG is being discussed with Paizo. I actually think it's possible that the upcoming re-purposed Stormlands could be a Pathfinder game.
  14. Eder, Sagani and Zahua's are the only ones that felt like full-on quests for me. My ranking: 1. Sagani - #1 just because of the amazing final scene. 2. Zahua - Hopefully we'll see more stuff like this in PoE2. I love it when Obsidian gets weird. 3. Eder - My favorite companion, so obviously his quest will be one of my faves. 4. Everyone else.
  15. The White March is a lot better in this regard. There's much less descriptive dialogue in it and there's usually two lines of text max in every dialogue box.
  16. Seriously, this. I always thought the BG companions were really overrated in every way.
  17. Not sure what you're trying to say here. I thought the voices for Pallegina, Eder, Grieving Mother, etc. were pretty memorable.
  18. Master Chris Avellone according to the Codex. Still, he just came up with the concept of the character while Carrie Patel and Eric Fenstermaker did the majority of her writing.
  19. What in the actual ****? Gamespot gave it a 5/10, even lower than part 1's 6/10: http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/pillars-of-eternity-the-white-march-part-2-review/1900-6416370/ It's even weirder when you look at this: That's literally all that was written in the 'bad' field. Anyways, this brings down its Metacritic average from 83 to 80.
  20. 8/10 from IGN: http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/02/24/pillars-of-eternity-the-white-march-part-2-review Part 1 got a 6.8 from them.
  21. The first part is combat heavy but you won't regret finishing it once you reach the second part. It has a way bigger focus on the story and a lot less fights.
  22. Maneha apparently has a thing for Pallegina: http://41.media.tumblr.com/b8323ae86dffdc74398b00f670c6296e/tumblr_o2vz1cIatz1tckhmko1_1280.png Now I regret not having Pallegina in my party in my expansion playthrough.
  23. Meneha had plenty of dialogue in my expansion playthrough. She said her opinion about things often and had a lot of convos with Eder and Aloth.
  24. For Part I, I brought along Grieving Mother, Aloth, and Eder and the latter two got some dialogue, but I don't think GM had any. In PII I used those three along with Durance and they all had a bunch of new dialogue.
