In VR!
I think it is well-endorsed and hoped around these parts that the NPCs in KotoR2 are less generic stereotype and more "whoa baby ho dat!" A rakata would be a great basis for an interesting NPC, although I don't know enough about the SW setting to judge this on anything but their nifty voice and ancient beliefs highlighted in KotoR.
Star Wars is an absolutely awesome setting for role-playing, as any who have played the d20 pen and paper game will attest to. It just depends on the GM, or in this case, the developer, as to whether the game is good or not.
If Obsidian posted every day and answered everyone's questions, as I'm sure some of them are tempted to do, KotoR2 would be ruined. They have a job to do, and the less that is let slip the better. They can still take note of the public's comments without replying.
I wouldn't think Obsidian have enough cash to run about buying more licenses willy-nilly, no matter how awesome a Fallout swoop would be...actually, does anyone know anything of Obsidian's financial status?
