  1. But then where would we get all of our Alpha Protocol news since Funcroc stopped posting it all?! Funcroc = Rorie?
  2. Because sometimes items effects one game and not another - just like how my copies of Mass Effect crashed until I removed a background task. It was not Mass Effect, it was a faulty mouse driver. And I do not buy that it is The Witcher. Have you removed TAGES? Have you actualy looked into any issues? It seems to me that you are jumping to blame The Witcher without any evidance other than "I think so and my other games work, thus it is the issue." Coem back when you've actualy done some footwork. It is also true that I cannot recall any problems like yous on The Witcher technical forums -somewhere I try to go regularly-, another item I find odd.
  3. You're most welcome! You wouldn't be the first, nor will you likely be the last. So no hard feelings here.
  4. TAGES issues? if that means it kept asking for my CD when it was in the drive then yes. Yes, that was a TAGES issue. Luckly the newest patch removes all traces of the DRM -provided The Witcher was the only game using TAGES on your PC- and makes it playable without the disc.
  5. True. But the main issue was settled then, or at least it should have been, and it lost much of its power - something that is now coming back... Ironicaly, or maybe not, many of the States that are now passing these items are ex-Slave Sates.
  6. Meh, Star Trek is worse than Star Wars.
  7. Yes, I have unless it tosses away the normal Star Wars dogma (id est KotOR II). Really? Nope. Most of those "about 200" have been **** and thus any new games are likely to be **** as well.
  8. No, it MIGHT work. Never tell someone something WILL work unless you are sure that is the issue.
  9. It's most likely your GPU - have you tried different drivers?
  10. Bloodlines, Mass Effect, Mount and Blade, and The Witcher - a RPG fest.
  11. The BSoD is not The Witcher's fault, nor is your loading time problems - more likely you have a bunch of other programs ****ing your system up. The crashes would also be symptom of that.
  12. Nope. It requires the .dll to be there unless you mod it however, although that's easy. And the Steam version is no different - it, in fact, has more DRM than the non-Steam version (you can play without installing SecuROM due to an interesting little quirk in the system Bethesda went with).
  13. does the retail version require steam? No.
  14. No. Just no. It would never make it unchanged and a changed KotOR II is not KotOR II.
  15. The only point I agreed with without any reservations was the one stating that the game should not be a MMO - nothing more.
  16. I think you are overestimating my agreement.
  17. The last part, yes.
  18. KotOR I or KotOR II? If they're well done... Nah, that can stay. Maybe... If it were well done...
  19. Only bad things. EDIT: There is an "edit" button there - use it and stop double posting.
  20. It wasn't even close - in fact it was rather bland and badly-done. Meh, if you want graphics go with a PC.
  21. I doubt it. Intel GPUs. Intel CPUs are fine - also, it's AMD and not Radeon.
  22. I'd think that passing on a game would be better than getting a new system just for that one title - and the PS3 is about the last system I would reccomend if one were to do that.
