A follow-up story: Police (& Media) Now Playing up D&D Connection to Murder- Poll suggests 1 in 5 Americans cannot make simple factual assessments
And some of the most vehement supporters of slavery were also church-going Christians and their Pastors/Priests. Traditionally it had been argued, and still is argued by some fringe sects, that the "Curse of Ham" from Genesis 9:25-27* justified the enslavement of Africans (saying that Canaan had settled in Africa and that the darker skin pigment was the mark of the curse). * Genesis 9:25-27 (New International Version) 25 he said, "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers." 26 He also said, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem. 27 May God extend the territory of Japheth; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his slave."- Music

Not advisable, seeing as they're great vectors for things, but possible.- Poll suggests 1 in 5 Americans cannot make simple factual assessments
You do know that is not the full quote, right?- What are you playing now
Are you playing the original or Lost Company? Either way, as you said, they're fun, old-school FPSes.- What you did today

Which one we talking about here? BBC short series or the movie w/ RDJr? I was talking about the 2009 movie. Didn't now there was another BBC series after the Granada one though, thanks for the heads up! Yep, it's a good film.- What you did today
That's rather ironic given your current avatar. EDIT: But, yeah, it's not fun to hit small, fluffy animals.- What you did today
Went to a club and ended up coming home with a girl's number and a promise to call her sometime - not bad, not Shyrke-level for sure but not that bad. Oh, and she dances so that's a plus (and possibly why I got the number seeing as that's what we did for most of the night there).- Movies you have seen recently
I watched the new Sherlock Holmes this weekend and was not that impressed. Sure, it was an interesting, if somewhat unfaithful, take on the novels, but I'd rather watch the Granada versions staring Jeremy Brett (the definitive, at least so far, Holmes in my mind).- Dragon Age 2
Sure some of them might be, but, really, quite a few are far better -and less "cheesey"- than the official NWN campaigns.- REALLY Annoying Alignment Bug
Obsidian didn't do it intentionally, it's just a side effect of the influence system (and commands can be entered without triggering the issue, it's just that most people try to boost their stats and that seems to be what triggers the bug).- REALLY Annoying Alignment Bug
For the most part, yes.- REALLY Annoying Alignment Bug
It's because you used the console commands. Try reloading a previous save or use the KSE to edit their alignments.- What are you playing now
Nation Red - well worth the $5 I paid for it.- Prop 8

Maybe he's thinking about the voter turn-out. That seems to have been about 79-80%.- A sad announcement

I'd be up for some SoDOFF games sometime - not sure if I'll actually have the time to play though (my gaming has been rather sparatic and so I'm not sure of any set time that would work). Still, feel free to invite me if you get a game going and need people! - RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
