  1. It would be fun to see some new exotic area in ID3 - like jungles of Chult in ID2 (best level in the entire sequel) plus original intrigue. Storyline in Icewind Dale 2 was really, really bad.
  2. True, Sith in KOTOR are pathetic.
  3. Let's hope that the storyline will be more original than this cover art.
  4. You're right. I thought about Oldman from 5th Element cause this is a pure sci-fi movie.
  5. Maybe it's Revan?
  6. Good argument. Bastila obviously is more mature than Anakin although they're in the same age. In game she also looks smarter and wiser. Surely Vader would kill Bastila - padawan, but what with Bastila who would be a full-fledged knight or a jedi master? As a teenager she already had giant potential, now imagine all that potential fully expanded.
  7. Rather ugly. I was expecting something more original than the clone of KOTOR 1 coverart.
  8. I would make a cutscene with Malak instead of a ridiculous fight And I would give you time limit on the Leviathan. If you could manage to get to the Ebon Hawk before time is up you wouldn't meet Malak...admit that game would be much more interesting then.
  9. So why jedi council said that thing about jedi master's presence? That he will only attract attention? It was supposed to be a covert mission...add to this info about ebon hawk as a ship that was very fast and hard to track - and leviathan shouldn't happen or be optional.
  10. Yeah but a few more would do the trick. I didn't say that CRPGs should simulate completely pnp - but only as much as possible.
  11. It's nice that you're using spoilers without warning.
  12. I see that you really don't read my arguments. Well have it your way then.
  13. You know it has been discussed already in "Feigned Roleplaying" thread. I don't want to repeat my arguments endlessly. Let's say that during running KOTOR as pnp campaign Bastila's downfall or leviathan capture or Malak duel would be optional possibilities among hundreds of other possibilities. And that's the true beauty of RPG...I believe that computer RPG should simulate pnp as far as possible.
  14. Obsessed is too big word, but let's say that she and Carth are my favourite characters and others are jerks. What's really the essence of my problem is my approach to RPG. I like games where you can influence the storyline and where linear twists are made in a convincing way. And the whole duel with Malak is cheated and it is some kind of joke. I see clear laziness of the devs who could really add one or two alternatives to the leviathan. I don't like situation when everything is programmed to work only one way and game over. And since computer RPGs originated from pen&paper they should be as similar as possible to pnp. Clear?
  15. Poorly constructed and cheated duel with Malak in which two superstrong jedi knights - Revan and Bastila are beaten by that jawless loser.
  16. If Leviathan would be optional, so be Bastila's downfall (which was unconvincing BTW). And Revan could learn about his past another way... solutions are hundreds
  17. Full support! No more leviathan linear bugs!
  18. You talk like you've already seen it. Are you masked George Lucas by accident? Personally I like Anakin from dark horse Republic series, and Hayden well... worse than Hamill in ANH.
  19. I think that indeed it is, but such suggestions may later be useful for expansion of some sort - if LA will decide to do it, at last. I've always wondered why Lucasarts didn't release any expansion for KOTOR
  20. Jennifer Hale. Without her this game will be a crap.
  21. Eating jedi brains to increase one's dark sith powers?
  22. And what with 5th Element's Gary Oldman?
  23. I agree with you almost completely (except Bastila). After Taris storyline of KOTOR sucked and running for maps was just repetition of Neverwinter Nights words of power search (but subquests were more interesting in NWN) when I was reading official materials in 2002 I expected something more. My disappointment was nearly as big as my disappointment in 1999 when I saw phantom menace...
  24. When Bastila was fighting with sith lord (Malak) she didn't loose her hand. When Anakin was fighting with sith lord (Dooku) he was humiliated completely. These two duels are very similar: Anakin and Bastila (both 19 years old and both padawans) enter the fight after their friend/master is going to die and challenge sith lord (dooku/malak). Bastila acted better in this situation I think And besides we can't measure their strength. Anakin may be most powerful force user of his time, but who knows what power had jedi 4000 years ago? Maybe they were more powerful. Official site says that force in late republic era jedi diminished. I say that Anakin wouldn't be most powerful in the ancient era. He could be one of the most powerful force-users, howewer.
