  1. Only Shatterpoint.
  2. My non-sw last books: "Anna Karenina", GG Marquez "One Hundred Years of Solitude", Elaine Cunningham "Elf Shadow", Matthew Stover "Blade of Tyshalle", Rudyard Kipling "Kim" (I've read it 100 times and still not enough to me) and "Horizon Storms" by KJA
  3. I think that Suncrusher is a brilliant idea And don't forget dear Laozi that personal preferences cannot be measured. I know a lot of people who claim that Thrawn Trilogy is a crap and only idiots like it. I like Thrawn Trilogy and Jedi Academy Trilogy equally...
  4. I would gladly kill HK47 (my first target), Juhani again (this bitch should die every day), Zaalbar (I hate wookies), Vrook (no need explanation), Vandar (he dares to be Yoda's clone), Revan (if DS), JarJar (extra cameo appearance), and Kreia (she looks just ugly)
  5. I think that more character you can have, the better... personally I would want to have freedom of recruiting Bastila to my team... or not. If Carth will by recruitable NPC (or so I have heard) Bastila should also be recruitable. And I don't think this will overshadow new NPCs. I don't understand why I have to suffer pathetic HK47, his importance in KOTOR was little and thus he shouldn't bother me anymore.
  6. Considering tons of EU material that devs have to study and proper presentation of everybody's favourite characters in case of such game, I think that production process would take 5-6 years and a team of 80-90 people.
  7. I don't like general plot of NJO. It looks like authors didn't have any fresh ideas so they decided to blow up entire lucasian galaxy...I mean the yuuzhan transformation of Coruscant (with moving moons) is sickest thing in history of star wars. NJO is toxic but I like few books (Edge of Victory, Unifying Force, Final Prophecy and Dark Journey) , admit that artistic level of NJO authors is better than crap produced by Barbara Hambly, Kube Mc Dowell or Roger Bride Allen! I like Zahn but I do not worship him like you. Besides guy is finished. All he does now is endless exploitation of Thrawn. Survivor's Quest sucks more than NJO. But his first novels were great, true. I like novels about Kyle Katarn, they were quite interesting
  8. I think that in that case they'll just choose one plot ending as official.
  9. Yes it would be very cool to have a team with such NPCs as Mara Jade, Kirana Ti, Kyp Durron, Streen, Kyle Katarn, Corran Horn or Luke Skywalker himself! At last I could interact with characters I know very well from novels and other video games. Action should take place 14-15 years after ANH when Luke's Academy is fully developed. Knights of the New Republic could be unrelated to KOTOR series aside of similar title and KOTOR 3 could be released also.
  10. Yeah Drew wanted to write KOTOR's novelization but finally got Old Republic novel with for now unknown storyline. Guy has great potential and I'm sure he will link KOTOR with his novel. Hand will probably go her own way in inventing setting & heroes but she has great talent too.
  11. Yeah quite a lot: COMICS: Golden Age of the Sith Fall of the Sith Empire Knights of the Old Republic Freedon Nadd Uprising Dark Lords of the Sith Sith War Redemption BOOKS: Tales of the Jedi Companion A Guide to Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Universe Bane of the Sith (short story) + 2 hardcover novels by Drew Karpyshyn and Elizabeth Hand scheduled for 2006-2007 release.
  12. 3-8 years after TSL, we would then have second ancient series of related stories after excellent TOTJ
  13. JK is different kind of a game so you couldn't really compare them, but considering RPG I have played NWN more times if I can be honest.
  14. From what I know only forms I and II were in use in the ancient times. You can check this out on the Official Site (starwars.com) or in the Vitas' Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia or some fan sites about lightsabers and lightsaber styles.
  15. Great graphics that easily beats any other game Great characteristic music composed by Jeremy Soule Very well developed NPCs that really added giant depth to the entire story. Epic setting (golden age of republic, time distance of 4000 years etc) Exotic new worlds like Rakatan, Taris, Manaan that are stunningly real Excellent interaction with environment.
  16. I hope that it will be possible to leave HK47 - like in KOTOR where you didn't have to suffer his stupid comments at all unless you really wanted.
  17. Thanks! Personally I like Anakin but problem is that I like Bastila more... so I contradict myself - becouse in revan vs vader thread I was supporting Anakin - mainly becouse I don't like crappy bioware sithlord...
  18. Yes you're right. And we still don't know how exactly powerful were the ancients. Maybe Anakin 4000 years ago would be quite ordinary? He was born in the waning days of the Republic when most powerful force techniques were all but forgotten (like battle meditation but not only) and when jedi were weakened (force vanished in them - official databank) so that's why he is so exceptional. Bastila no matter light or dark, had very cold and calculative mind (which you can witness in DS ending) of a true british woman and cowboy Anakin often acts like total jerk. Don't forget that, although Malak needed Bastila, he wouldn't hesitate to cut her hand off (like Vader needed Luke but massacred him). If Bastila didn't loose her hand (although lost the duel), this means that she better controlled herself during fight and had better defense technique than Anakin when fighting with Dooku. And yes if EIII Anakin lost with Obi-Wan (who was excellent fighter but less powerful jedi) he could lost with Bastila too. Anyway her mastery in duel - oriented form II would give her big advantage over Anakin.
  19. Nick can now f.... off. I don't care what this loser thinks about EU. Seven forms are canon, TSL and KOTOR are canon. Entire EU is canon. Ask Ghost of Anakin why. Let's hope that you'll understand faster than me. So it is correct to talk about 7 forms and I don't understand your point. One jealous choreographer is not important and his fights looks really bad when you compare them to JA His word means nothing. If George Lucas himself would say that forms don't exist that would be some evidence. Gillard - Shmillard (or whatever his name is) isn't any really important guy Why are you on this boards if movies are the only gospel for you? TSL is part of EU and it's natural that we try to link it with other areas of EU (like lightsaber forms). Ghost of Anakin: Dooku was maybe little more powerful than Obi-WAn but don't say that he was more powerful than filled with 20000 midichlorians Anakin! Dooku won cause he was using duel-oriented style, while other styles either are orientated on blaster deflecton or base on physical strength and brutality to overwhelm enemies not on real fencing.
  20. Yes Asner's accent is really unforgettable. But maybe he'll do Vrook/Masked Sith and his buddy **** van Dyke will do Bastila
  21. Form I is a basic form and all jedi can use it. Form III is a favourite form of Obi-Wan he mastered it during clone wars. It is a form perfect against blaster-armed opponents but pretty useless against swordmasters like Dooku... Yoda's form of choice was form IV and suited him best. During the time of the Sith Wars all force users were using Form II. It was a standard form. So Bastila uses Form II as everybody does. Of course this form is divided on various schools etc but 4000 years ago it was practically dominant form. Other forms appeared later (form III after Ruusan 1000 years before TPM) That's why Dooku had so big advantage: he was using ancient and fencing-focused form that was completely forgotten. Anakin was more powerful and Obi-Wan his equal, yet Dooku kicked their asses and later could survive master yoda's 800 year old experience with the lightsaber...
  22. I think that being powerful in the force doesn't give you any immunity to battle meditation. Only when you have carefully trained mind and stable emotional structure you can really resist psionic powers. Anakin was very emotionally unstable and immature. This was his weakness and of course pure power isn't enough when you fight with someone who has similar potential. Besides don't reduce Bastila's abilities to battle meditation. If she mastered dual lightsaber (that requires perfect attunement to the force) this means something. And don't forget: Anakin uses primitive and brutal form V that bases on one's advantage of physical strength, and Bastila uses elegant and deadly form II, that was used in the ancient times when fencing was very wide phenomenon due to plenty of lightsaber armed opponents. Form II is superior to all other forms except experimental vapaad (or EU sources suggest that).
  23. Yeah but even early Dorman was already wonderful and TSL cover artist is a jerk if compared to Dorman or other sci-fi artists. Compare this cover to Dorman's wonderful dark empire covers etc I say this guy's a JERK
  24. Emperor's Tomb was made by Drew Struzan - the same guy who designed all indy covers and posters. It is close to the movies but don't say that's rip-off. I'd prefer art made by a professional - Fleming or Dorman or Stephen Youll... sorry but I think that game of such caliber as TSL should have cover art made by best, not some unknown and hopeless jerk.
  25. I think that cover arts for Gladius, Clone Wars or Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb are much better and original. Why they didn't hire Hugh Fleming or Dave Dorman or any other sci-fi painter to do the job properly?
