With legendary encounters on highest difficulty like the Adra Dragon, only a minority of players should ever be able to beat them. If everybody can, it's no longer a challenge and achievement worthy of highest difficulty - and that's coming from a guy who never beat Adra Dragon on PotD. Instead of trying to change the game in a way which would suit my playstyle in spite of everybody else, I rather just play on a lower difficulty.

All right. I kept ignoring him, but this white-haired freak keeps ruining my pictures. This one's fine, he just sailed a boat in front of the camera: But here, I went all the way to a deserted island, found a dead bear and... Gah. Well, the only boat in sight is empty, he wouldn't get his clothes wet just to carry on with the prank, right? God damnit. All right, so here's a picture of nice, snowy land... What the hell, dude? Seriously? -

Isn't that how most games in existence are made? As in, singleplayer and multiplayer sharing most mechanics? -

Just exploring around, I have found this on one of the isles. Consequence of my actions, out of the blue.

Neato, I got a new thread to spam! And now for something completely different, because all Bioshock Infinite screenshots eventually degrade into taking pictures of the prettiest pixels around: -
Well more importantly, they're selling an expansion pass. I'm willing to give about 45-50 EUR for both the base game and the pass if the DLC are good, but definitely not 90.

So uh... I have a character that I believe has explored everything of significance in the game. So I went to take a look at some question marks on an island around Skellige and discovered two more sidequests. Well played, Witcher.

RetroAhoy's new-ish video, Quake. Buckle up, it's a bit over an hour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OipJYWhMi3k&ab_channel=Ahoy As per usual, extremely well researched and delivered.

Someone had to go to work every day and create gorgeous environments. I'm sure said someone just wanted to sit at home and not see outside ever again but he did a damn good job. Do tell me when these start getting irritating :-P -

Nothing too fancy: over 5 years old intel i5-2300 (Sandy Bridge) 8 gigs of RAM MSI GTX 970, which I purchased to run W3 properly. I'm running most settings on ultra, including the CPU intensive ones, so I'm only getting around 50 FPS, drops down to around 30 in Novigrad. I'd imagine the main reason as to why do these pictures look as good is that I'm using a lightning mod. -
Well, more importantly, whoever recorded that video sucks badly with a pad. There's skill to playing with one too you know (one that I'm actually having fun learning, I already finished Wolfenstein: TNO on Uber with a pad. That was enjoyable.)

I might as well just bind forward and take screenshot to the same key -
That quest felt so good, and gave even more meaning to choices I made previously in the game in entirely unexpected ways. And just wait what does Hearts of Stone hold in store for you, CD Project learned from the original game and improved upon their (already nearly perfect) quest design. I'm so excited for Blood and Wine. And Cyberpunk. CDPR is basically the new Bioware.

Actually that's a fair assessment, I felt very confused and slightly awkward when every male in 10 mile radius keeps hitting on my ugly ass male protagonists. I sure did not expect to feel those emotions at those particular times.

Darkness and light. Life and death. The endless struggle for dat ass. -
No need to worry about that either - Homeworld games are pure RTS games, more or less. You have sort of a base, you construct ships, you research tech. You left click a unit to select it and right click to send it do stuff. There's no diplomacy, there's only a single resource and research in the campaign is always limited to just a few technologies at a time. That's not to say it's not complex - but it's complex like something between StarCraft and Red Alert 2 as opposed to uber-complex like 4x games. It also has an amazing story and completely unique feel to it. Yes, everybody needs to play Homeworld.
-
Homeworld is not a 4x, which means you should fix the "unplayed" status promptly :-P I assume the reason why would it remain unplayed is because 4x games take bloody ages so I'm happy to say I have actually finished both Homeworld games from the remastered collection in about 20 hours or so.

Multiclassing ideas
Fenixp replied to Baron Pampa's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I have absolutely zero references on this, but I do believe that the very reason why dual/multiclassing was introduced into DnD in the first place was due to inherent lack of character customization flexibility up to about the third iteration. I'm not sure if it was the basic set of original DnD or something even older than that, but character creation in the roots of pen and paper roleplaying was entirely reliant on dice rolls and further development was more or less fixed with extremely limited customization. Which, all in all, turned out to be rather boring, so ways of more in-depth customization were developed, including stuff like multi-classing. With a system entirely constructed around customization with very few aspects actually being fixed about character development, I don't think we really need multi-classing since characters are no longer defined by their class - they're mainly defined by what player wants them to be with classes lending them unique gameplay elements and flavor. Drop that and you essentially end up with a classless system, which is also a solution I would personally opt for instead of a multiclass system, since the only advantage of multiclassing over classless is nostalgia... And that's not much of an advantage at all. -

Meet the Gothic class imperial cruiser Chosen of Retribution Armed with four broadside twin-linked lance batteries, prow torpedo launcher and a little something for ramming. About 5 kilometers long, sporting crew of over 90000, including several squads of Adeptus Astartes and a squad of terminators ready for lightning strike in the bowels of enemy vessels. When you want something dead, just let Chosen of Retribution get close enough.
