  1. Your avatar made me buy Hyper Light Drifter. Bastard.
  2. Meh, you just had to give them some fuel. And, more importantly, some fire. Pretty sure you should skip giving them that which they desire though.
  3. You do play a predefined character, and there's apparently going to be a bit of the game where you play a female - think Ciri in W3
  4. The DLC is probably the best content Witcher 3 has to offer.
  5. Check out the fourth stretch goal.
  6. I got a new CPU (and ... Everything else consequently) and can finally run Kingdom Come: Deliverance beta on reasonable framerates. I must say, what they have to show for a beta is quite impressive - I'm starting to look forward to the full version.
  7. Finished Mad Max. I've got to say, Avalanche Studios have quite a pair to direct the game in the way they did. I won't say more as to not spoil, but well done. This has became my favourite one of the Ubisoft-styled open world games.
  8. Well... Terrain modifiers existed a long time before that, along with territory control system. Not sure about field upgrading. Not in that combination per se I suppose, but it never seemed like significant update considering it's essentially a streamlining of Blizzard's expansion model. All right, fair enough. Come on, Mass Effect slapped dialogue wheels on top of Generic Third Person Shooter, Dawn of War 2 actually seamlessly connected two genres that I could never see working together previously - and it was far from being a bad game, especially after refinements that Chaos Rising introduced.
  9. To be fair, Bioware hasn't really evolved ever since the release of KOTOR, they keep repeating the same formula ever since - whereas Relic has actually been actively experimenting with otherwise stale genre of RTS and say what you will, Company of Heroes was a stellar RTS experience with all the attention to detail Relic was famous for, and there's never been and probably never will be anything quite like Dawn of War 2 with its RTT/aRPG hybrid gameplay, regardless of how much do you personally do/do not enjoy it. It was really with THQ's financial issues since 2010 or so when Relic seemed to be reduced to a DLC churning machine, and I imagine that's also why many talented people left them. But aside from it being a stellar RTS, there wasn't really anything that interesting about the original DoW, whereas both Company of Heroes (to a lesser extent, granted) and Dawn of War II actually tried things that no other RTS games did before - which, to me, is Relic's main selling point. I'm also not entirely sure about RTS fans being wide eyed to hear about next Relic's project, considering they released 3 games before Dawn of War, one of which was a sequel that wasn't particularly well received to my knowledge
  10. Somebody tried, of course. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxZL3UuNllc Oh well, I think that's enough rat derailing for one day :-P
  11. You are? Idunno, I just love rats.
  12. Did someone mention rats? He's not a meme, but... He's a rat!
  13. To be perfectly honest, the reason I more or less ignored Brigador was because it looked liked a generic twin-stick shooter with reasonably pretty graphics, but not much else of interest. What does Brigador do, gameplay-wise, that would truly set it apart from other twin-stick shooters? Do the different mech types play significantly differently? Are there some interesting gameplay gimmicks, aside from full structure destruction? Sell it to me! SELL IT TO ME, DAMN IT!
  14. Nope. They're only accessible via URL by default, unless you explicitly choose to share them with the imgur community (via the big green button.) There's also Post privacy settings where you can make the uploaded images private via 2 clicks so that people can't see them even when accessing your profile (provided you have a profile) Edit: I would say Bart is a ninja, but matter of the fact is that I posted mine 4 minutes later, fact checking... So Bart isn't ninja, it's I who's a slowass turtle.
  15. It does look like a WW2 version of the wargame ... Games. Which could be a good thing, considering.
  16. I tend to take a bunch of shots, open the folder with screenshots, select whatever I feel's worth uploading and then drag and drop it straight on imgur's main page. It'll automatically create a gallery, process the screenshots and create urls for individual images.
  17. I wouldn't go that far, but yeah, if nothing else, Beamdog has made sure that new people to the games can enjoy them with a bunch of changes for modern audience while not touching the originals, so everybody wins in the end.
  18. Meh, Planescape'll remain what it's always been, more people will just be able to play it. And perhaps they'll have the good sense to make reading text in that game a wee bit easier. They probably won't. Eh, one can always hope.
  19. 1 magic/fighter/rogue's all you need, really. The 5 other members are quite useless.
  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8H8DedCW_I I just want Amplitude studios home so that I can hug them all repeatedly.
  21. I'm sure they didn't work 28 hours a day with no increase in salary for 6 months to make the release. No sir.
  22. Oh, so you got through the easy bit :-P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhIS4FdS7co
  23. + The open world itself's really damn well designed. You see that landmark over there? Yea you can approach it and there's some semi-unique content hiding behind it. But yes, it feels like a bit of a surprise that so few designers of open world games realize traversing their world is what you'll be doing good 80% of the time, so they'd better make that act alone fun in some respect. Dying Light got it down. Mad Max did too. And Assassin's Creed I 'spose, but traversal in that game always felt too simplistic to me. It's like a videogame version of Top Gear.
  24. I ranted on Mad Max being repetitive, but... It's actually really fun. Can't stop playing it. Especially now that I just need a game to wind down as opposed to one to focus on.
