  1. Sounds like more lawyers on a screen. Considering lawyers are demons(according to the always reliable Hollywood), anyone caring for their soul should steer clear of PHEONIX(as in flaming) Wright.
  2. Alaska has never been Canadian/French. We bought it off the Russians for a song and a dance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I stand corrected. "The news of the British North America Act, 1867, was nervously received in Washington, DC. It would create, on July 1, 1867, "one dominion under the name of Canada," and this led to expressions of "grave misgivings on the establishment of a monarchial state to the north" in what Canadians then called "the republic to the south." (See McNaughton's excellent Short History of Canada.) U.S. Secretary of State William Seward thus urged, and the United States Senate thus approved, the treaty authorizing the purchase of Alaska from Russia for US$7,200,000 on 9 April 1867. The United States took possession and the American flag was raised over Alaska on 18 October, which is commemorated as Alaska Day." We got screwd out of our arrogance. USA - 1 Canada - 1 000 998 :D
  3. There is a woman walking around between Balmora and Hla Oad I think. She will ask you to escort her to another swampy town on the western seaboard(Gnaar Mok I believe). In exchange for your help(or if you kill her but she is very tuff at low levels), you will receive the world famous Boots of Blinding Speed. These babies will give you constant +25 speed(not sure about that number but it's a frakkin' lot) AND constant 100% blind. So you can't see where you're going. If you cast a 100% Resist Magic spell(1-5 seconds duration is enough) and equip the boots while the spell is active, you will resist the blinding effect but will still have the fantastic advantage of the boots, which will be lost if you unequip them OR if they get damaged to 0% durability. Just go on a Morrowind forum and search for Boots, Blinding and Speed and you should find it all. Enjoy!
  4. I just want Alaska back.
  5. True but velocity does help kill when they do **** up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unless it was the driver that was following the speed limit that ****ed up. EDIT: The amount of damage will probably be more... intense if one of the driver was going particularly fast, yes. But the blame should not always be put on that speed driver. Slow drivers can be just as dangerous as the fast ones.
  6. God of War. I just entered the Challenge of Atlas. Right after a save point you enter this room full of undead warriors with some archers on ledges. Those are not a problem. The Gorgons then pop out of the ground and start stone-raying me like crazy. I can take a few of them out with Artemis' sword and L1+Square, I don't bother with the neck break cuz my brain ain't fast enough to execute the command that is on the creen for 1/4 of a second(I'm old)... And that's where I'm stuck. I can't seem to get past those darn Gorgons. Any help? Please?
  7. Canada is vaster. Do people drive any better here?
  8. Some roads in Europe have no speed limit whatsoever and the death toll is lower than over here where people don't follow the speed limit anyway and we drive like morons with cell phones and frakkin portable DVD players behind the wheel of deathtrap SUVs. It's about how people drive, not how fast there going.
  9. On XBox? It also saves you all the cool mods. Like houses, horses, boats and naked people. (w00t)
  10. Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world and it also has something the US craves desperately, more than oil in the coming years and that is water. And we will never join you. Not until you fix your sh**.
  11. 1 level per hour of playing. On average. Unlimited level cap.
  12. Replayability!
  13. The way I understand it is: Nonlinearity = Relates to storyline that does not follow a straight path. Open-endedness = Relates to the free exploration of the environment. Sandbox = Relates to overall player customizability/exploitation of the game world.
  14. Or meterwoman.
  15. Reformatted. Drivers are all up to date.
  16. Last time I tried playing Bloodlines I couldn't even launch it. Patched and everything. Yet I played and finished it before.
  17. ...And then burn in a special Hell you bastaaaaaard!
  18. Nope, no wrench, only to break glass. I'm roleplayin' as a psi so I only use guns to destroy bots. My strength is low(3) so I wouldn't do much damage with a wrench anyway. The only ammo I'm missing is AP, which destroys those big bots in 3 shots. I took your advice and managed to destroy that first big grey bot by stucking it in a doorway. Its shooting behind the wall, it couldn't hit me so I was able to destroy it. The explosion almost killed though but I have plenty of hypos. I passed up the assault rifle for the grenade launcher... :"> Should I go back and find it?
  19. What if you are not intelligent?
  20. Use the Wrench (w00t) No, I'm not being sarcastic or funny. If you get REAL close, they can't hit you as their arms are spaced way out. Plus they can't move very quickly or with any agility. So if you can get between the arms and then beat them with the Wrench... they explode rather impressively At least if we're talking about the ones I think you're talking about. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm talking about those big grey ones that shoot big laser bolts. I haven't use the wrench in the game so far. And the Crystal Shard barely scrathes them so I didn't think the wrench would be effective. I will try your suggestion however thank you!
  21. Still on God of War - Challenge of Atlas, stupid Gorgons! System Shock 2 - On Deck 5, Recreation - Stupid big robot thingies when no AP ammo left! Dragon Quest 8 - Enflammed Abbey - Stupid lack of free time! Civ 4 - On and off - Stupid need for sleeping, eating, living!
  22. Yes that is absolutely valid to me. Fighting games and racing games are usually very short but you can play for hours and days with them and have a ton of fun. I played Metal Gear Solid(1) for dozens of hours, even though it can be completed in 5 hours(or less). Multiplayer plays a great deal in replayability as well and it almost always justifies a high price tag because even though the single player can be short(Return to Castle Wolfenstein) the multiplayer extends the game's lifespan considerably. Of course I will not buy a game for the length of the single player experience alone but I, like Dark Raven, like to immerse myself in a game and that usually takes more than 6 hours(King Kong?). And I will not buy any game that I can finish in one rental... I suppose however that a 50-60$ pricetag is always justified in the eyes of a publisher since everyone plays and enjoys different things in their games?
  23. I know and I agree with you. I was just asking if you thought quality justifies a 6 hour game at 50-60$. Because I value your opinion. :D
