  1. Oh? I thought Windows was the worst OS of all time. I'm on Ghosthunter, when I can which is not a lot. Cool game.
  2. Deadwood and Doctor Who are my current favorites. Dr. Who has continuity although it is sometimes hidden in bits of dialog. Most episodes are a direct follow-up of the previous.
  3. I'm still in my yearly Lord of the Rings journey... I find it lost a bit of its charms after the movies.
  4. They're both so similar that experiencing one is the same as experiencing the other. I liked the structure of the book. The short chapters(4-5 pages, the longest has 10 pages) allowed fast pacing of a boring story and made for great bathroom reading...
  5. I liked Kaaaaahn, and the even numbered movies(2, 4, 6, etc). And I still say Joss Whedon should be an important part of the production of #11. I also dislike when execs milk their cash cows. It's very rarely good.
  6. This weeks TV Guide (the one with 4 different cover options) has some stuff about it. Nothing major, but some plot hints and the like. One of which was supposedly that (while there's no names, could be a big plot-angle spoiler to some, you've been warned) ------- Edit: Oh wait...that might be for NEXT season. The wording in the blurb could be taken either way and is kind of indistinct...oh well, buy the mag and conclude for yourself. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean season 4? I read that someone "distinguished" will bite the dust in the first episodes of S3. My guess would be Ellen Tigh.
  7. It is very difficult for me to imagine anything cooler... Wish I was there.
  8. I've read the book and I believe that, for the sake of enjoying the film, you're better off not reading the book. Not that the book is better but because they are so frakking similar that it is actually a waste of time to experience both.
  9. FIXED! EDIT: Joss Whedon should at least write and possibly direct the next Star Trek movie.
  10. Ok I'm off to watch some more Deadwood... suddenly... for some reason.
  11. It's because if you hold up a fake gun in someone's face, you are essentially lying to them and lying is a sin.
  12. Morrowind ugly? Are you guys drunk(more than usual, I mean )? By today's graphical standards, perhaps. But I frequently read posts here about people playing Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Torment and even older 3D games like X-Wing or Ultima Underworld. No one can convince anyone that Morrowind is uglier than those. It looks even better than NWN! And if anyone finds that Morrowind is uglier than all those than mods can be downloaded for free that will remedy this "problem". The only problem with Morrowind for me was that you walk way too slow in the beginning, which actually hurts the exploration part. This can be fixed simply by playing(with spells, enchantments or upgrading the Speed attribute) or by downloading a mod that fixes the problem. The story is very good but I found it was hurt by the huge landscape over which it takes place, like butter spread thin over too much bread. You can also lose the thread of the story amongst all the sidequests(over 300, mostly fetchings but if you enjoy NWN you shouldn't care...). Play it, if only to try it.
  13. Watch more episodes...
  14. It's a nice little fps game. It wasn't overly difficult as I recall, and since Jennifer Hale does one of the voices, it's awesome. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jennifer Hale! She's also in Xenosaga 2!
  15. In Montreal Canada it's about 32 Celsius with humidity. Last week it was more around 42 though...
  16. I'm thinking of buying Darkwatch for PS2. Aside from the reviewers links can anyone give their opinion on it?
  17. Too many deaths? The only person I saw dying in that film was Jean(the same way Mystique 'died' in X1...) and because of Pheonix, even that can be fixed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You obviously didnt watch the whole thing or pay attention Charles Xavier died, and so did the cyclops dude <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry for the spoiler but Xavier doesn't die in X3. And we never see Cyclops die either. We assume he did, especially after what happens to Xavier but I don't recall Phoenix(not Jean) ever saying "I killed Scott" in the movie. If she does I still ask the question: How does 2 deaths = Too many(for a movie. In real life, 1 is too many, of course.)?
  18. Nitpick alert: Global Warming is not to blame. What is to blame is those who perpertrate actions that cause global warming. That, or the evolution of the planet, to which the cause of global warming is a part of. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there's nothing to nitpick. i was being facetious, i.e. sarcasm alert was in order! taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh. Ok then.
  19. WW2 was never boring!
  20. That was my point. Then again, we don't actually see Sabretooth and Toad die in X1 either...
  21. Prediction: Hasbro is launching a new Transformers toy line and they need a movie to promote it. End of discussion. About Michael Bay, I enjoyed The Rock and The Island and I like his visual style a lot(although that could be Bruckheimer/Simpson). I think he could do a good job with the film but the details(Optimus a Long-Nose, Megatron a jet, it's a WB teen flick, etc) will sink this imo.
  22. Too many deaths? The only person I saw dying in that film was Jean(the same way Mystique 'died' in X1...) and because of Pheonix, even that can be fixed.
  23. Nitpick alert: Global Warming is not to blame. What is to blame is those who perpertrate actions that cause global warming. That, or the evolution of the planet, to which the cause of global warming is a part of.
  24. Uninstall?
  25. It might actually be worth seeing now! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ORLY? Isn't Megatron a jet in this one?
