Haha. Usually if you reload the autosave (after you got obliterated) the looters won't turn hostile anymore because that scripted scene will be missing (which seems to trigger the hostility). So you should also be able to run past them after you reload. Don't know if that works reliably (didn't die at Gorecci Str. for a long time) but at least that was helpful and prevented frustration the first few times I went there. I believe if you do a quicksave aftr the autosave you're not getting that option...? Most people found out ba accident that leaving Port Maje and returning (and going right to Gorecci Str.) lets them enter from the south and easily sneak past the looters even with the lowest stealth values.

Sure it can. Also depends on the measures the government so strictly enforces. If those are not adequate you can be as strict as you want... China doesn't have a good vaccine yet afaik and they have a lot of people to vaccinate. No surprise the virus might cause local outbreaks. But I believe those will not explode like they do in Europe or the US.

A "lifelong" sentence in Germany usually means 15 years of prison (with 5 years of probation afterwards). If there is "very serious guilt" (judge will determine that) your time in prison can be prolonged lot longer. You can also add further "preventive detention" which is not prison time - but basically the same - if you think the perpetrator will still be a danger mouse. I guess Norway has something similar: Criminal law in most European countries is not based on punishment and doesn't even aim to achieve "justice" (I guess because that's just a very subjective thing). It aims at upholding peace under the law and rehabilitation to prevent further crimes. One reason why there is no death penalty. If the offender can't be resocialized there's that preventive detention. There is the element of deterrence but it's not one of the main pillars - like it seems to be in the US(? correct me if I'm wrong). Also because deterrence doesn't really seem to work that well when it comes to the "big" crimes. I'm no lawyer so what I said may be a bit woolly.

Actually "Isometric Wing" was the name of the speedmetal band I was part of in the early 90s.

It's a first person role playing game set in the world of Eora. Please use Paypal for your payment, thank you!

Gorecci Str. is def. the hardest fight for most people on PotD if you exclude Megabosses. Because you have not a lot of options and usually only two party members. And you'll have a lot less meta knowledge than later which always helps immensely. Fighting enemies who are three levels above you is a lot harder if your own level is low. The more you advance the less three levels will matter. It can be rel. easy with the right character (e.g. one that is heavily front loaded with good abilities right from the start and equipped with a unusually good weapon like Essence Interrupter) but on average it's a nightmare. I don't know why it's designed in a way that you can solve the quest peacefully but run into a hefty fight before which is not easy to avoid unless you know you can enter the street from the south.

Usually the town map will not be the first thing you see when you enter a town for the first time. Instead the first area of that town will load (the one with the harbor) and you can walk around. You can then simply click on the leave-area button again (right where you entered the area) and the town map will pop up.

Yeah, Biontech guy said the same - but maybe that's the same guy? I mean this one here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uğur_Şahin

Hehe - I guessed that you first used WotEP. To be fair: most two handed weapons should have a bit longer reach. Especially compared to the light one handed weapons. Would make sense. But that would have made balancing more difficult I believe. Currently every weapon group has a mix of special "features" besides the modal. Clubs, daggers, hunting bows (why?) and spears have +5 ACC, Pollaxes and Morning Star have two damage types, Battle Axes have increased crit damage and so on. And one of those features is increased reach. I guess it would have made things too complicated to give different weapons gradually different range. Maybe...

Ok, but at least I told a cool story once.

Thank you. Memes didn't help either I guess. Na I think I'm done. Let's go in peace and drink a (maybe virtual) beer.

...and obnoxious prat doesn't equal obnoxious prat, it means misguided fellow.

We have medicare for all in Germany since the founding of the BRD and it hasn't ruined us yet... We don't have a green new deal but the Energiewende. In April we were at roughly ~50% electricity from renewable resources and we cut 40% of our CO2 emissions compared to 1990 (partly due to Covid though) and it hasn't ruined us either. It's expensive - but we're still no. 4 in the world (GDP). So I wouldn't say "impossible".

It may seem different... but two handed weapons don't have extra reach in general (there are exceptions). All melee weapons have a range of 1m (or 0.8m? Don't remember the exact number) - unless you use a pike (1.8m), a quarterstaff (1.8m) or the great sword "Whispers of the Endless Paths" (1.2m). Two handed weapons are also as fast/slow as the heavier one-handed weapons (sabres, swords, spears, maces etc.). Sometimes players believe they are slower but they aren't. What they have is higher PEN and higher base damage.

Yes, but not only him. When the green party was founded and first was elected into Bundestag they were the most leftist party. Before that it was only CDU (conservatives), SPD (social democrats) and FDP (liberals). Coalitions were either CDU+FPD or SPD+FDP. Pretty borig really. If you would have asked the greens that they think about forming a coalition with the conservatives they would have laughed very, very hard. Not even with the FDP. Nowadays CDU+Green it's the most liked option. Not only because the greens drifted to the right when it comes to war/sneding the troops and also ecnonomics - but also because the CDU under Merkel hopped a bit to the left when it comes to cultural topics like same-sex marriage (grudingly because a vast majority of citizens support it) etc. But I would say the greens moved more to the right than the conservatives moved to the left. Anyway they are grinding the social democrats (SPD) to dust between them...

West Germany of 80-90s had higher income taxes, property tax, higher and longer unemployment benefits, better health care coverage (glasses, dentures), government-run railroad, government-run postal service, govern-run telephone service, higher pensions, more powerful unions, tighter controls for the financial sector, higher inheritance tax, higher contribution assessment ceilings and more stuff people would call "more left". And we had East Germany which was a self-proclaimed socialist state. So not really. EU politics are mostly neoliberal and conservative. This is also resembled by the factions of the EU parliament (from left to right - literally) : Of course it really depends on your perspective. If you have far right ideals then of course it's all pretty lefty. If you are a socialist it's all very right-wingy stuff.

Sure. Compared to what? Bolsonaro?

Would you consider yourself not a good man because you don't stick to what you know?

Basically any armor would work for a melee wizard. It's just so that more DR makes you slower. In early to mid game high DR has more impact than in the late game (because DR doesn't grow at the same rate as your health/endurance pool and enemies' damage output will grow). So best would be to start with the thickest armor like plate (unless you are not in the front line: then thin armor or no armor is okay) and gradually reduce it. What also works well is to use a high AR armor and boost it even more with Spirit Shield or Iron Skin or Llengrath's Safeguard. Of coue you only need that if you get hit frequently, not if you attack from the second ranks with the Lance or so. Good armor for melee wizards imo: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Raiment_of_Wael's_Eyes --> the auto-cast of Mirrored Images is nice. https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Jack_of_Wide_Waters --> survival can give you great camping bonuses and the higher you skill it the more expensive it becomes. +2 can be good at later levels and lift you over the edge to yet another camping bonus you seek (e.g. higher ACC buff against certain creatures or more flanking damage). https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Aloth's_Leather_Armor -->bigger AoE size also applies to SpiritLance's AoE https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Durance's_Robe --> great in fights where you encounter severe burn damage - e.g. Dragon/Drake Breath https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Blaidh_Golan --> one of my preferred armors anyway. Against several enemies (e.g. Ogres) the enchantments are great. https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Wayfarer's_Hide --> good against enemies like Adragans and Lagufaeth. Decent in general. The last two don't really look like something a wizard would wear though. My preferred heavy armor for melee wizards is https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Argwes_Adra

Sorry for double post again. My wife just came back from a talk with a head physician of the Charité (biggest German university hospital in Berlin, one of the biggest in Europe). He said that IC patients are dying like flies and that he never saw anything like that. Dead bodies piling up. He was pretty devastated and angry that we still don't have a hard (but short) lockdown but instead are still trying to solve this with soft (but prolonged and prolonged and prolonged...) measures. While schools and kindergardens are closed my wife still has to go to the office - because her boss said "well, we have a special work ethic here so we can't allow as much home office". Heh - as if working from home means that you instantly lose your will to work. The other ministries only have 30% of their staff in office - the rest is working from home. The foreign ministry does it the other way round.

Then I would look at clubs and flails for the modals. Especially Shattered Vengeance and Endre's Flog of Obedience. But you'd have crush damage only. So maybe Kapana Taga would be better for the slash dmg component... Furyshaper's Fear Ward is very good. Espacially if you are lowering enemies' Will with a club and also have a Wizard with Miasma. Furyshaper/Troubadour I didn't try yet but it sounds like fun.

Yes, somthing like this seems more "normal" to most Europeans I believe (allthough all that left/center/right stuff starts to dissolve in our country, too. The former pretty-left greens drift towards conservatives more and more, former overall-liberals became just neo-liberal, the CDU hopped to the left with seveal topics and some of the left started to talk like right wingers when it came to migration/immigrants). But anyway: one gets the impression that a broader (meaningful) political spectrum is impossible in the US for obscure reasons. Eh I mean obscured to me, not in general.
