  1. Nope, most of the time Athens was "capital" of Greece. Of course, they all were city states
  2. Hilarious thing is it's same as in NWN1 Some random psone game for me
  3. Death & Rebirth= Retelling series in 2 hour movie, sucky compared to series but better visuals. End of Evangelion = Must see. I really mean it. These "Revival of Evangelion" etc. are just same-stuff-in-different-box-and-new-toothpick!, similar to Lucas's numerous "editions" of SW EoE is, the other one I don't remember. I guess I will finally buy them, then. I heard once that they were the same as the final episodes of the series, never confirmed it, but never bought them just in case it was true. They
  4. Oh be quiet. Tell me what is roleplaying before saying crap like that. Both NWN2 and KotOR 2 offered awesome roleplaying options and situations, not all the time of course (lots of sucking too), but still. Esp. NWN2 shined occasionally with many conversation choices. When arguing with Ammon Jerro for reasons to your deeds you had seven differing answering options instead of generic "good" "neutral" and "bad". I'm not saying this happened all the time or that it was perfect (roleplaying as evil was very, very badly done) but OC left very, good, roleplaying memories to me. Trial was and still is great piece of gaming.
  5. Yeah, Winterheart's Guild is album by finnish power metal group, Sonata Arctica I remember reading about this from somewhere. Lame
  6. I believe you, but still, I'd like to get some sort of source for this information
  7. Eh? According to my knowledge neither of them existed, pre-Van Buren Fallout 3 or Jefferson Engine BG3 "The Black Hound" aka BG3 was ment to use its very own engine. Mystary? Mystery? Something like that... edit: Yeah. I really want to know some news about his NWN2 project
  8. Exactly. Besides, whole resurrected Palpy crap was written before prequel trilogy came out so authors didn't even know about "Chosen One". Every single piece of EU containing sith (Palpy's resurrection, ultracrappy comic series with that lousy Skywalker offspring like 100 years after RotJ, Jacen's idiotic turning etc.) goes against canon. Heck, most of the post-VI EU goes against canon.
  9. Sad stuff I liked the song though
  10. Yay, I've always wanted to be Nihilus! *cough* Anyway, sounds awesome, especially the first sentence
  11. So, it looks like George Ziets has developed that LotR MMO Anatomy of Quest Arc by George Zierts
  12. I just want build 08b1 already Just deal with those 3 bugs! Jump from 07 to 08 gives ILLUSION of great progress
  13. Before blondes, now brunettes
  14. Official poster. Goddamnit, where's Asuka? She isn't in first movie but still... "Another story change is that Kaworu will make a much earlier appearance and, unlike Asuka, will be in the first movie. In the series he was not introduced until episode 24." Yay for Sadamotoism! All I now need is his bandage fetishism and Rei-fanboyism! Ah well, I guess I've bitched before about Evangelion: Rebuild so I don't have to talk about what is it, but here's link in case I haven't. Hmm... At least Anno has dropped Gainax from Evangelion: Rebuild and has his own studio for films. Still, can't say that I'm positive about project. When hardcore CRPGers fear dumping down for consoles, I fear NGE will be dumped down for the masses. All the talk about "making it more easily accessible" and such doesn't help. Anyway, I think I prefer old SEELE logo to new one. Old New I think serpent and apple is way too plain reference for my tastes. Text (from Ode to Joy, means "Above the starry-sky God will judge, the way we have judged") may sound and look cool, but I think one "Nerv-type" logo is enough. Not to mention taking stuff from Pippa passes is cooler, lolz On other hand, I haven't watched anime since beginning of March (if you don't count Ghibli movies that is)... Healthy recess I say. Hmm... maybe now I could start again
  15. Pink Floyd's Division Bell
  16. Ah yes, I didn't think about his forum posts, only interviews "Not one thing here refutes what you quoted" Eh? I believe that was non-professional interview, but doesn't change what I said. Besides, do you really think anyone would do this kind of interview immediately after game is published? That would be ridiculous. A: It could affect sales B: What's point talking about flaws not even nearly every consumer hadn't found out yet? After 6 months NWN2's clear faults are acknowledged better. But it's still only 6 months after game was released. This is not post mortem where you can criticize your game very freely (hurts sales minimum by then) or some Warren Spector (all kudos for him, mind you). After all, Warren is criticizing games made by his previous, dead company. That doesn't compare. Same thing criticizing some BIS game. Oh I can believe Bio has randomly criticized themselves in their forums since I'm not there that often, but I'm not counting forum posts. Heck, as Oerwinde said, JE has been critical to NWN2 many, many times in these boards. I'm only counting interviews and such and I haven't encountered such from Bioware. "P.S. It is sad that the OP had ato make a solid interview by Mr. Sawyer with the Cool Dude Codex into a non subtle attack on both BIO and Obsidian who had nothing to do with it with some helpfulness from Sand, and co." What the hell are you talking about? I might've been little bit offensive with Bio, but subtle attack against Obsidian?
  17. I truly wonder... has progression slowed down lately?
  18. J.E Sawyer works for Obsidian Entertainment and he is talking about game designed by Obsidian Entertainment. And I certainly doubt Obsidian employee could do this kind of interview without acceptance of Feargus. It directly deals with them, non professional or not.
  19. Proof once in a while would be nice Basically only way I've seen them criticizing themselves are "In bioware we're trying to make every game better than previous one, so all teh flaws in previous game will be gone in this new
  20. Exactly. I've never heard BIO criticizing themselves like this. With Bethesda it's impossibility
  21. Link Oh. My. God. That was like, well, one of the best interviews ever. How many times we see Dev(s) criticizing their own product? And answering honestly without PR bullsh*t? (Volo, quiet there ) Oh why oh why couldn't Sawyer be lead designer for this game from the very beginning... Only things I disagree with his judging is camera (it's fine with me ) 4. How would you evaluate the finished product? Any lessons learned there? What worked well, what worked ... uh, not so well? What was the game's biggest strength/weakness? I think the game as released is a high 7, low 8 title. To be honest, the major issues are due to a lack of polish. There's certainly a lot of stuff in the game, but none of it really looks or feels great. At best, the controls and features feel good, at worst they feel terrible. For example, the camera. Programming got the camera in and fixed a number of its glaring problems, but for all the various camera modes you could run in, it was hard to find one that felt good. The toolset is also an appropriate example: highly functional, very powerful, not enjoyable or fast to use for many tasks. The biggest problems during development were an unrealistic scope and a lack of focus on quality/fun from the beginning. It's arguable that the former resulted in the latter. With D&D games, it's easy to become consumed by the idea of adding every feat, class, and race you can find in various books.
