BG2 and Mask of the Betrayer are superb games and great stories, especially the latter one in story department. However, that's not due to their setting. MotB showed how you can weave powerful, deep stories even in milieu like they had (BG2 too, although "deep" might not be word I'd use). Emphasis on even. Granted, Rashemen is rather interesting place and way MotB's story was told some of the clearest stupidities of FR did not affect it. Actually, I rather like Rashemen a lot like some other areas in Faerun (Chult looks like it has a lot potential, I hope NWN2's next expansion pack would take place there), but overall Realms are stupid and cliched. Especially the Sword Coast. I swear, if I ever have to save one frickin' city that lies there I go nuts. It's problem with nearly all DnD settings though (Dark Sun, Planescape and Eberron ((to some extent)) not withstanding), especially with Greyhawk the horrible and Realms that should be forgotten.

It might be due to conflict between children add-on patch and that fan patch. Or maybe my installation was somehow failed, but I doubt it. Meh, it's not like this is game breaker or anything and maybe there's fix for this problem. Oh well... F2 kicks ass anyway

Wow, for Floyd-fan like me this is extremely interesting stuff (even as The Wall is my least favourite of the "Big Four" albums). And The Wall is one of the most famous albums of all time, which makes it even more interesting. Especially my all time favourite song, Comfortably Numb is rather intriguing. The basic music (by Gilmour) shows its pure geniousness here better than in album version which has much flusher and deeper sound textures, orchestrations etc since it's simply more audible. Of course it's not good as album version (d'oh) since it's that, well, demo. But it's easier to pick up basic music behind the superb soundscape Floyd records tend to have. Also, Water's original lyrics for CN are ****. Gilmour's music and solos make the demo listenable, even great (sucky sound doesn't bother much), but no way I'd listen this one for lyrics. The final version of lyrics is so much beter it ain't even funny. Run Like Hell doesn't have lyrics yet. Surprisingly it works as instrumental song quite well. The Thin Ice has some interesting synth playing as does Young Lust, Mother sounds surprisingly good, Water's non-studio-magicked vocals tend to be horrible etc. etc. Very interesting if you enjoy "making off" stuff which this kinda is edit: in b4 "u listen with microscope"!

Small update in case someone else is trying this: Yeah, children add-on pack and that fan patch work just fine However, there's one problem. I've yet to hear ANY in-game music.
