  1. Not saying that it's an elaborate feature compared to what it could have been, but sometimes it pays to wait and not take the first offer. I've had relatives of the imprisoned coming by and offering much more than a 3 digit sum. Well, that never happened for me. I built the prison early and took some people in Defiance bay prisoner, but I only got exactly one offer from an animancer until the very end of the game. The 300 pand were the first and - only - offer I got. I ended up freeing them all before entering the final dungeon. It seems to be entirely up to chance. Sometimes I have one prison break after the other, sometimes none at all. Sometimes virtually nobody shows any interest in the prisoners, sometimes they come in drafts. But, if that's any kind of consolation to you, the loot they drop if killed, isn't worth the effort. I once got frustrated with taking them prisoner and did away with them all. It really doesn't make any difference.
  2. I only got him so far. Great voice, but is it just me, or does anyone else got the feeling that outside appearance and voice don't quite fit? I would have expected something more ragged going by his picture.
  3. Personally I haven't seen any improvement. And that of course is purely subjective. I still get around 10 secs per transition, which is an improvement to when I started playing in march. But that doesn't say much, since I switched to a stronger rig in the meantime.
  4. I'm sure there are many people having this issue and several reasons why it could crash. That's why I suggested to post your specs in the technical forum. If that advice offends you, keep on speculating for all I care.
  5. I always gave them latin names derived from Roman Graffiti. But since this isn't an adult board I can't quite give you examples. But there's no mistaking their gender.
  6. Yes, me too. It has to have something to do with your specs, since - as I said -.it didn't crash on me even once. So you should probably seek your answer in the technical forum by posting all your specs.
  7. It didn't crash on me since day 1 and moving through all the patches and 2 computers. So there has to be something wrong at your end.
  8. Not saying that it's an elaborate feature compared to what it could have been, but sometimes it pays to wait and not take the first offer. I've had relatives of the imprisoned coming by and offering much more than a 3 digit sum.
  9. In the base game it happened pretty frequently. I seem to remember, that they even introduced a fix that tied escapes to security level. I wouldn't have that much of a problem, if you could do something about it. Like recapture them. Doesn't even have to be a gameplay element. There just had to be the option to send a party after them, just as with the adventures. But escaped means escaped for good.
  10. I don't want to scrape the level cap when I'm doing the White March. For one because of the new companions and second because I want to have the opportunity to develop my party further afterwards. And third because I did the rest of the game so often that there isn't anything new to explore.
  11. Are you referring to the constructs in Galvino's house by any chance? There's a known glitch where sometimes their deflection and accuracy spikes to ridiculous levels whenever you reload in there. Yes, that's exactly the place. So, better leave it for another time and not reload in there.
  12. I wouldn't even know how to master one particular building at a higher level. Party's at full endurance and some contruct throws something which instantly downs them wholesale without warning. I can deal with hard fights, but whole party instakills just frustrate me. And that's with being buffed to the eyeballs by Durance.
  13. So this is getting really frustrating. I've got a level 6 party and barely survived Stalwart with many saves and reloads. I venture into the other regions, band of fampirs mass charming my party, wasted within seconds. Venture into yet another region, wasted by these new monsters mass paralyzing my party. Please don't tell me, it's geared at level 10 upwards. I hoped to get at least the Devil a little earlier than that to supplement my party.
  14. The spellcasters are the problem if it comes to AI. If you set their behavior to use per rest abilities, it is as I suspected several months ago. They empty their arsenals on every trash mob. So you have to micromanage them, if you don't want to rest after every fight.
  15. If that's the only thing you fixed, why is it 1.1 GBs large?
  16. Well, as I said, it has become less of a pain for me after moving to a more powerful rig. But it's still long, compared to other games. The newest beta patch did nothing to reduce my loading times. Which, of course, is a subjective observation. I don't know how other users compare.
  17. Since you can't help being on 2.0, you can make your team help you - within reason. The new AI system is pretty good, provided you read carefully what every character is doing when certain options are checked. I'm still experimenting with that, but to test it out, I even let the AI fight the easier battles. Just to see what happens and if the chosen parameters are actually doing their job.
  18. In the ability description it says, ranged weapons, as long as you're within 2 meters.
  19. Did you do something about the FPS issue also or is that still under investigation? Might be wishful thinking, but it seems to me that things got better with the beta.
  20. If you're asking me - I'm always playing with a full party.
  21. 18,5 on Win 7. White march and latest beta patch installed.
  22. I'm not even sure about that. Granted, I didn't try it with one of the later patches, but in my previous games I could only set one trap, period. Not per character. If another companion set one, it cancelled out the previous one.
  23. Yup, it happens too fast. Even with leaving out many side quests I couldn't help to reach maximum level well before finishing the game.
  24. It very much depends on what rig you're using. I started playing POE on a rather weak one and moved on to a stronger one since then. Loading times have been reduced by that move. They're still long, compared to other games - certainly longer as with the afore mentioned Shadowrun series - but it's bearable. In march I virtually could go and fix myself a coffee and the screen would still be loading.
  25. That's actually one of the persistent bugs straight from day 1. Sometimes the summons just stay. Saving, quitting and reloading takes care of that.
