  1. "Story will be introduced in further versions." Actually no. He gave up on the idea of adding a story. You'll have to rely on the mods for that.
  2. Rootless Cosmopolitans is Marc Ribot's best album. But I can't find my CD.
  3. Goods by Mates of States (very catchy) "a cover of the Flaming Lips song, although I'd have to say this one is better" How dare you say that. Don't forget the new Lips album tomorrow.
  4. That can't be the full list because I know Creative Assembly are showing Medieval 2: Total War and they're not on the list. Nival is missing from the list, too. "Oh, Speilberg. He hasn't made a good movie since Jaws." Saving Private Ryan had some cheese, but it was a kickass war movie overall. And Close Encounters is amazing.
  5. Apocalypse Now Raising Arizona 2001 Pee Wee's Big Adventure Aliens 1991: The Year Punk Broke Drugstore Cowboy Nightmare Before Christmas The Longest Day Close Encounters
  6. The Download.com and Worthplaying mirrors are extremely slow right now. I didn't try the registered Gamespot one. It might be better to wait until Strategy Informer or Gamer's Hell have it. They're usually the fastest, in my experience.
  7. PC only. I actually do play some console games, but only on emulators so that's still PC. And I'd play JE if they'd bother to port the damn thing. No way I'm buying an Xbox for one game.
  8. Meaning a ON DC patch or something else?
  9. Would it work to install the game, add a certain kind of patch, and then run the Starforce Remover? I've used the remover in the past and it works. Question is, would the game still run afterwards? edit: There's a demo out if anyone's brave enough to try.
  10. Guess I better be careful who I wiggle my naughty bits at, then.
  11. Star Rangers II: The Wrath of Khan As far as the real game goes, some people say it's one of the few worth risking Starforce for. I'm still not sure.
  12. This is the worst thread ever. (the answer is magic)
  13. Dark Wizard and Snatcher on the Sega CD were wonderful. "Seriously, this is the crankiest bunch of forum trolls I've ever known" As one of the Codex losers, I resent that statement.
  14. Their first game, Civil War: Bull Run, was a lot of fun. I'm not a big fan of the Civil War or even RTS games in general, but Bull Run definitely clicked for me. It's not as dry or boardgamey as most Civil War games, but it still has plenty of attention to detail for the nerds to obsess over. Keep an eye out for it at EB since there are still some floating around for $20 or less. The only thing I didn't like about the TC2M demo is that it chugged a lot more than Bull Run even though the graphics looked the same. Supposedly, this one has newer, hi-res models, but they looked like the same old ones to me.
  15. It comes out June 15th. Preorders start next month.
  16. "the mood can hit you as much as Aeris being killed by Sephiroth. " I hate teenagers.
  17. The demo for Take Command - 2nd Manassas. It's a Civil War game that doesn't bore me and a RTS that doesn't suck (so far).
  18. There's quite a few major classical venues within an hour of me that have very busy schedules and large audiences. My favorite is probably the Orange County Performing Arts Center. And there's at least a dozen active jazz clubs. If you ever find yourself in Southern California, tune in to 88.1 for jazz and blues all day long and find out about upcoming gigs. Maybe you just live in a crappy area. Or maybe you aren't digging enough to find the local jazz and classical communities. They're probably around, just not as obvious as other scenes. Afterall, what does a jazz fan look like?
  19. Taluntain shut it down himself for a few hours. But it's been back up for a while now.
  20. Looks like entertaining bathroom literature. Might have to pick it up. Is Wired worth reading in general? I often notice it on the stands, but always pass it by because I'm easily distracted.
  21. Just go download some of the Spiderweb Software demos. The newest one, Avernum 4, is pretty fun and scratches the old RPG itch.
  22. Ferret never actually existed. Like JE Sawyer, he is just another one of Vault Dweller's split personalities.
