If he joined 40 years ago then he should get half the final pay rather than high 36 Just to throw some numbers out there, if Gfted1 retired today as an E-6 after 20 he would be looking at about $1,862 a month which is great as extra money but probably not enough to live on alone

You'd need another job unless you lived very, very cheaply Would you like to know more?

Did the Career Jammer give you the works to try to keep you in? Yeah, at first anyway At the time they were giving out huge bonuses and other perks but I was done and since a lot of people in my unit were afraid of their prospects after getting out they stopped chasing me. They could probably also tell they were barking up the wrong tree or at least I'd like to give them that much credit I'm glad that I did it and I miss some aspects of it but I'd never want to go back to it. Especially since I vastly preferred deployment to garrison life.

Well, most of my unit went back to the states after 6 months or so in the first deployment but along with a few others I volunteered to stay the whole year of 2005 (plus or minus a few months). The second deployment was in 2007 and it was a mandatory year for everyone but it was also a much easier time. I came back in Jan-Feb of 08 and got out in December

I'm also not a fan of the combat, before I would just cheat but now I use storytime mode and cheat It's also weird to me how much I am bothered by the major (major to me, anyway) class changes they make to the game. I shouldn't really care but I feel so negative about it for some reason. I dunno, but I'm finally making progress in my new playthrough

Makes sense considering the "inevitable candidate" isn't drawing as much enthusiasm which also makes sense because if they are inevitable then why bother On the flip side, I also don't have a lot of faith in the Dems carrying the general election but it's still early and a lot can happen. It's not very scientific but about a quarter of the ~120 people in my precinct expressed no desire to support Clinton in the general election. Most of those were young people who were only involved in the process at all because of Sanders but I was surprised that we also had a few disgruntled Republicans who switched sides like Anakin. But again this is just in my neck of the woods so I dunno if and even doubt that those trends hold up nationwide PS anyways I hope that we switch to a straight up primary vote because that caucus took hours with people speaking their piece and trying to sway others to their sides. In the end, the 4 not committed (or something similar to that) people went to Clinton and they had to change because they didn't meet the minimum threshold but nobody else changed their votes. There are some ballot measures to make the caucuses open, maybe that's a start

They were saying it was the highest turnout they'd ever seen for a primary There were two lines and each one wrapped around the block in a different direction. Some places had to stop letting people in because they were beyond capacity and others had to move outside to accommodate everyone

Me too Now all I read is sci fi and fantasy though Currently churning through a lot of new Shadowrun fiction. Glad they started making these again, in English.

I've often wondered if and how much politicians struggle with possibly sending people to their deaths and outright ordering someone killed

Um, ok

Yes, I mean, apparently that seems to be the case - but that's just stating what we know. What we want to know is an explanation for this, why this is the case. Yes, but Cruz also has the overwhelming support of evangelical pastors, yet evangelicals vote Trump. The lack of debates is an invalid explanation, because while it might explain why people in general vote Clinton, it does not explain the absurd discrepancy between black and non-black voters. So this leaves us with only the "religious leaders" explanation. But it also seems absurd that black religious leaders have a level of control over their congregations so much greater than that of any other religious group. Two things, one, they see her as the successor to Obama similar to how Bruce does and two, they are the most religious racial group in the country

I'm jealous We have a caucus here that I had to register as a Dem to go to and to make that worse I also only have ~30 min window in which I have to arrive in to be allowed in. Dunno why they have to make it so difficult
