  1. I dunno about WoW but in Star Wars there is. It tells you what they are casting and has a bar so you can see the progress. LOTRO has a similar mechanic too except it just shows that they are casting but not exactly what they are casting. It's color coded too so green indicates a heal and red a damaging ability. PS in Shadowrun there is a saying about always geeking (killling) the mage first. I'd guess there may be something similar in the Pillars universe.
  2. Huh, well Ill be a monkeys uncle. So like a little Fireball symbol appears over an enemy caster when they are about to cast "Fireball"? Kooky. ...and MMO-like but I like it
  3. New Fable game on the way. I always wanted to like them but ultimately found them too shallow to spend much time playing them.
  4. Hmm, I thought this was ridiculous enough that no one would take it seriously.
  5. Maybe they ended up going with Werewolf first when Obsidian didn't have a team ready to work on Vampires. From Paradox's point of view it might not make sense to give the first go at Vampires to anyone else other than Obsidian, especially now that both Boyarsky&Cain are working there. It's a lot easier to market it to the fans of the series if you can add "From the creators of Vampires - Bloodlines comes..." into the marketing campaign. You give your flagship title of the IP to some random developer and game fails and you will have a difficult road with that IP after that. This is what I'm hoping for I wish they could bring back Mitsoda for it too but I don't think I'd get that lucky
  6. I finally got around to actually watching the videos and yeah, that first one was pretty bad.
  7. I don't really like the direction the Fallout series took so I guess I'm on board if it is indeed a new post apocalyptic game.
  8. I'm just curious. Why not plug your laptop into a wall? Not always an option for my use case
  9. If it lasts 3 hours I'd be happy If it's less then that then probably not
  10. New California declares 'independence' from California in bid to become 51st state
  11. I can't make a proper assessment without seeing his trousers and shoes first. Maybe his belt too if I want to be thorough which, of course, I obviously do. Socks I can take or leave unless they are readily visible
  12. Finally caught a few Cavs games and man does their defense suck, they just seem so low effort. I have no doubt they'll still coast into a decent spot in the playoffs but I'm not sure they'll make it to the finals unless they do something about that D. PS how about Chris Paul's return to LA?
  13. I was looking at Ryzen laptop from ASUS but it seems to be sold out pretty much everywhere
  14. Saw the last 2 Dave Chappelle stand ups on Netflix last night. I thought the first one was hilarious and the second was just ok.
  15. The Man From Nowhere - I'd seen it before but was only half paying attention so I decided to give it another go. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
  16. So my laptop may finally be done for good. A wire from a dewdrop Christmas light somehow got into the small space between the charger and the wall and made contact with the prongs. The charger is definitely fried but I'm not sure how well the laptop made it out of the whole ordeal since it doesn't hold a charge.
  17. That reminds me, what ever happened to Trump's voter fraud commission?
  18. HK is my favorite in the series, so I do recommend to play it and the bonus campaign ("Shadows of Hong Kong", aka Epilogue). Some characters from DF appear there. Is there any way to force the matrix portions to be turn-based all the time? With the mini-game the lock can be forced but I'm really hating the stealth portions and I don't see anyway to slow them down. Alt+~ then deathray to kill all IC. I did all the matrix stuff my first couple of playthroughs but after that I just wanted to get through it.
  19. Longshot barely has you playing any football and has no real integration with the rest of Madden. It's mostly a redemption story with a few minigames and QTEs.
  20. I thought it would just throttle you down to 87 miles per hour
  21. It's usually best to do them in order Also, there's tons of material out there if you want to read up on the setting. I've even read most of the novels but it's one of my favorite game worlds.
  22. I enjoyed the game but it's all over the place
  23. I also think it's interesting that even before the fake news era conservatives already distrusted the majority of news sources
  24. I was looking for an updated one and that's how I landed on the University of Michigan link but it was just reporting on the same 2014 study It did link to a site called AllSides which seems interesting, at least a first glance. Haven't spent much time on it because I was playing with the new google fact checker which seems to have some people in a tizzy
