The problem is, if you want to fully exploit this you want enough deflection to tank most stuff, aka 200+. Missile Gloves have a lot less accuracy than your melee attacks, so eventually you just can't hit yourself anymore. Wall of flame is also bad, I tested it after my post, because my usual chars have A lot of reflex without Gipon already and with Gipon it goes up to 300 very quickly (long before deflection hits 200). So the only choice is no quarter. (with scordeos and bonuses from weapons 200 accuracy is quite easy and you don't even need 200 to hit a 200) Saving and reloading only helps to stack several instances of th +10 deflection + 20 reflex, but unless I'm missing something big it does not stop the buff from wearing off after a fight. If you have a char with good base deflection this is still quite strong, cause it doesn't take as long to buff up, but with a char with low deflection with all the saving and reloading its quite annoying to do before every fight, maybe I'm just spoiled.

Maybe I'm missing a point here somewhere but... You ALREADY have perma brilliant for every class in the game via strand of favour cheese. So @Boeroer's intention is not to make those classes better for solo, we're trying to make those classes still viable IF a mod would nerf brilliant or , in my opinion more importantly, duration extension. One of the suggestions was to stop resource regen after the initial 6 seconds, which is pretty solid. After that change even for a party megabosses would be a lot harder, unless you have all chanter party or abuse all the bugs exempt brilliant. (just strand of favour is a big issue on its own ofc and so is sot/wod)

That armor is REALLY not that hard to get. Main limiting factor will be Vela. Back when the game came out I always rushed that armor even on TOI games, when I had no clue whatsoever what I was doing. (Not that it's much better now, but a little :P) Edit: main important thing about reputation is, don't get positive rep with Principi before getting -3. No idea if they changed it till now, but back then getting like +2 or even +3 would prevent you from losing rep after that. I always just killed Mad Morena and her cave for rep, was enough to get to -4 if you kill everyone down there.

Cipher can even top it and oneshot him, but the effort is even higher. Thing is for Ultimate its not just about the class/build anymore, anything is super op with strand of favour, you're most likely to die to a slight oversight, so it's all about grinding that practice secondary char. That being said killing enemies fast will definitely make fights a lot safer.

Oh right, I haven't played solo Assassin since the game came out, haha. Weapon SHOULD degrade based on doing damage (aka 0 dmg doesn't make it degrade) but the amount of damage you do per hit should not affect it. This is only a theory tho, idk for sure, I only use fists on the ultimate, because no matter how much damage you do per hit and how fast your weapon degrades, it WILL break in a bigger fight. (The threshold for breaking is way too low) The only way to avoid it from breaking is constantly using abilities, those don't break the weapon at all.

Wouldn't really be a nerf, would just change the way you use brilliant. Brilliant is also not the most broken thing in the game by itself, it only becomes op with extended duration (but if you fully cheese it you don't even need brilliant) Thatz being said your suggestion would make for a hell of a fun playthru.

Weapon switching out of combat works, from my testing you need to quicksave when being on a weapon slot you are not gonna use (kinda doesn't matter since you can just change weapons out of combat), because after a reload your recovery will be permanent on whatever slot you load into, then you weapon switch to the wepon your gonna use and recovery will not be permanent anymore due to scordeos. Just can't switch while in combat but with all the crazy buffs you can get that is very minor.

What a shame, gl next try! I just finally got back on my run after not playing for almost a month. I almost managed to kill myself at level 16, but slow mode saved my life. Got Scordeo's, but was missing a tusk for Blade Cascade, ofc with my test char merchant in Periki had it, with my actual char ... nope. So I went to Nomu, cause the boar has a chance to drop tusks, but since I've been playing too much with my test char lately, I forgot that I haven't fought with my actual char since I got SoT. Halted Vela, went in lured bounty to her, withdrew her frightened, then went invis, after they reposition Bdd, but I realize too late I haven't set a proper Ai for SoT spamming, so I wasted a useless action on whatever the rogue default AI does, then realize it, am on recovery, open AI, realize the game does NOT pause while in AI screen, panick exit AI, cast Sot manually, back to AI screen, panic search for whichever of my quadrillion AIs is the right one. If the game wasn't in slow mode I would have died instantly haha. Edit: oh and ofc tusky did not drop ... a tusk, so now to Sayuka I guess?

Depends on playstyle, I myself am a lazy person and afaik there is no way to use animated weapons abilites per AI. But if I play let's say a skald with Scordeo's perma extended and set both auto attacks and her revenge on AI, my char just goes around pewepewing. Once again depends on personal preferences some people like to manually input their summons every single ability, I personally am too lazy.

As far as I know stacking different food bonuses can still be achieved (at least it used to be possible before 5.0 and wasn't in the patch notes) by pausing before hitting the rest button. So I assume @AndreaColombo's mod enables this too, but let's be real: Downloading and using a mod like this doesn't force you to abuse it. The original intent was convenience, if you use it to make it more convenient to stack different food bonuses (hitting pause before resting IS extremely inconvenient after all :P) then all power to you, but the mod did not enable the possibility of doing this, that is entirely in the game engine.

Yes it is the scaling that makes it equal to all other invocations damagewise, only the Aoe is inferior (but very often that won't matter). You are right about the way you can use skellies and it is all about how one wants to play their chanter ofc. The op asked specifically for a tank chanter, so I can see how my replies might seem out of place. My personal opinon and playstyle is just to squeeze a little bit more out of a character and a tank that can also kill (but still fulfill their tank role) benefits more in my opinion, because what is dead cannot kill you.

I never said all summons are bad (just in case that was directed at me) and I meant the skellies specifically. The upgrade for thrice was she wronged is not only good early game only, it is insanely powerful at any stage of the game. Unless I need more Aoe coverage from the higher level invocations I always use her revenge. It hits 4 or 5 times per enemy so the damage is actually not that different from the higher level ones, but it takes a lot less phrases which in many situations is quite useful.
