Wouldn't that cost enough energy to make a pig fly?
-
Yes, Weakness effects are useful (especially since the spells seem to cost way too much and with a low success rate for what they're worth. :/)... personally, being mainly magely, I've been experimenting with Weakness to Shock + Shock Damage spells and the like, but the cost is still hefty and it's difficult to determine whether the weakness effects are cumulative. Ah well. I can still revert back to my dai-katana, absorb 28 health per hit.

Interesting... seventeen, and judging from the frequency with which obnoxious teens blurt out with the angsts in these kind of threads, you'd think there'd be more minors here. Of course, it remains to be seen whether this is good or bad.

Or make a copy of your favourite spell, then simply add in a 2-second Soul Trap effect or something. That ensures that if you're using that spell, you're soul-trapping at no real additional cost. As for storage, you realise Morrowind remembers everything you drop on the ground or place somewhere? (Which, of course, can cause gigantic laggage late-game.) Even without the millions of "House" mods... Galbedir of Balmora Mage Guild pretty much has free soul gems for the taking. I believe one Winged Twilight, one Drema, a slew of otehrs and perhaps an empty Grand.

Absorb Health, or Paralyse, are always useful.

But the #1 reason that CRPGs aren't dying...
Tigranes replied to Yst's topic in Computer and Console
Agreed. Furthermore, FFVII was a leap in and of itself. The fact that it was the first Final Fantasy to pretty much explode the US market testifies to that fact. -
I love it when you post anyway.

What, perdition was overused? It hasn't got the best sound, but I suppose it's better than most names out there. So can you tell us anything about the project?

Would Mace Windu Have beaten Sidious?
Tigranes replied to jodo kast 5's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
To bring some balance (heh) to the twisted knots of argument... Obviously, the Palpatine we see in the movie can be interpreted either way. His frightened behaviour could be real, his having been defeated by Mace: or, it could have been a calculated faking, putting himself at such a position to ensure Anakin's betrayal. The question then becomes, how many legitimate pieces of evidences are there for which side of the argument, to tip the scale and take the hat off to the most likely theory. Well.. pro-Palpatine: Lucas said Yoda was the most powerful Jedi. Ender, did he explicitly state that Yoda was powerful in every way? I always imagined Yoda to have great knowledge of the Force and power in using it, but not as skilled with the lightsaber, at least by that age. Prove me wrong. pro-Mace:Well, okay, novel says so. Not being a super-SW-fan, I have to ask this question: if there is the movie and the novelisation, which one is the more 'official'? just how canon is the novel? Personally, I'm akin to the pro-Mace argument just because it is unlikely Palpatine would risk his life (and all of his plans. and the continuing existence of the Sith Lords.) in the belief that Mace would capture him, as opposed to swooshing his head off then and there. Now, I know somebody will come at me with "Jedi never kill unarmed opponents", but if you were the last Sith Lord left, Anakin was still "Good", and your life was on the stake, would you really risk it? After all, Mace did attempt to kill Palpatine outright later. There were less risky ways for Palpatine to convert Anakin.. -
Noooooooobody knooooooows.... Although TBH is most likely dead. Engine is becoming outdated: by the time anybody passed the bureaucratic hurdles to get it, then finish the game (not that many people like finishing other people's work), it wont be too viable for anybody to throw wads of cash into the endeavour. Come to think of it, Interplay's even mor elikely to be dead.

cause vader is speshul.

"Just interactive"? The very nature of interactivity disrupts temporal sequences, for one thing, which makes sustained levels of tension difficult.

Hm. makes me get the impression that weapon/equipment upgrades are linear, though; that you go Weapon -> Better Weapon -> Even Better Weapon, as opposed to a wide range of similarly powerful magical weapons (like.. you know. BG2. Even if that game had more magical weapons than China has people.) . The junk thing sounds good though.

Hades could talk about and judge the actual game instead of condemning it in its entirety just because of its semantic, ultimately trivial naming decisions.. but what more can I expect from somebody that turns up only to say "I don't like this trash". 5 times. Per thread. :D SP, what do you say to Gamespot's complaint about inventory systems and the like? Usually I don't believe reviews, but they did spend half of it talking about how crap it was... any problems?

There are multiple "versions" of the same NPC you can summon. Most will speak gibberish or the wrong dialogue when they appear. So you can try summoning all "incarnations" of Scar... or.. get Shadowkeeper, check your global variables; hopefully you'll turn something on/off that makes the game reattach Scar somewhere in the game world.

zomgwtf! A thread which is exactly same as two others! It's a phenomenon! um.. yeah. already talked 'bout it, not true. bad joke.

NWN2's official fact sheet and some new artworks
Tigranes replied to funcroc's topic in Computer and Console
... overland map is probably the only thing that distinguishes this tidbit from just about every other RPG "fact" file.. I mean, if we hear the story like that, it's absolute trash. It'll be the details. ;p -
(Azure.. whenever you want just about any electronic purchase in Korea, just go to Yongsan... it's got as big a catalogue altogether as most big American places, and sometimes better... I know we make much better mp3 players and phones, for example. Anyway, I've seen FOs, Torment, BGs and more multiple times there.) Right. Now back to your regular China fun.
-
At least you could tell him where to get it legitimately as opposed to popping your nuts.. Ah, whatever. It's hopeless to change some crowds. FoD: If you are in China, probably the only way to get Fallout 1 is to buy the game on eBay. (since Amazon, and other sites probably wont even deliver the game to China) Hell, even in eBay you might not have much luck. Do you know anybody in America or anywhere that can get the game for you?
-
Not if you're confused with BG, though... Torment will just seem like a bunch of calculus on screen.
-
got to love the random kotor(2) screenie in the middle..

It may be realistic, but it's one of those things you don't want anyway. Like eating, or sleeping. Runescape was the *devil* just because when you start the game you're sitting there whack, whack, whack, cook, cook, cook, chop, chop, chop... oh, another example of this was Dungeon Siege. So unless you want half the game to be "Practice being a Swordmaster"... I personally like the idea, too, but have yet to see any suggestion for a proper implementation.
