  1. KOTOR2 wouldn't take more than 18 months, including serious pre-production. Remember, from the interview, we gather that they're still using old models to show off things, meaning that at this stage, Obsidian can have anywhere from near-complete design documents and some level experimentation, to... fully modified engine, art/models/etc in progress, some levels done. In any case, KOTOR2 is in early stages of a not-very-long development schedule, and ther
  2. I'd have said change the damn combat system completely, but since they aren't... storyline as always, I guess.
  3. Nobody tell him!
  4. It's because Jedi Knight series and related games are simple FPS/action games; even trategy games may fall under this category. RPGs like KOTOR that have wide appeal and a strong story may be more effected by this. I can't see the logic in it either (but who's to say lucasarts acted logically? ,but I believe it was at least one of the factors concerning KOTOR.
  5. Craftsman, that's not the problem. They just don't want a ton of mods on star wars floating around talking about supermidichlorians, super lightsabers, Darth Vader VS Darth Revan, etc.
  6. Yes, LucasArts put a stop to the modding thing.
  7. He can't help it, anyway. They do have a second project, all we know about it is they're hiring members for it.. and they haven't got it signed yet. That leaves room for a FO3, but it also leaves room for just about any other RPG, really. I doubt it'd be another bioware hand-me-down... of course, it's debatable whether this second team would have the input/participation of MCA, etc.

  9. Dhruin; I've said that, but this kind of magazine scanning and the contents make it quite very reliable.
  10. I saw it a day early! W00! I guess it is KOTOR2, though that was the most probable outcome. Oh well.
  11. Karzak: developers are reliable on in-game details, publishers are reliable on announcement/etc details. of course, you can NEVER know if a game will be finished (because it might be canned), or when it'll be released (nobody knows).
