Lot of cheaply made games now from Lucasarts, now time for my 5 cents. Battlefronts: 1 was good, shouldnt have made 2, the space battles, yuck and they changed the uber BF1 interface too. Mmm AI is stupid, not fun playing against bots in any game . Most of the movie based games where dodge and rushed and most times had nothing to do with the movie, ie. Clone wars, now that was dodge. But I must admit I completely loved TPM on my PS1 That was like the foundations for KotOR. Jedi Knight series where leet, Jedi Academy was my favourite but you didnt really have a storyline, it was more like, hey go over there and do some random missions for the Academy and fight some SiF.

What's the best class in Kotor 2???
Sturm replied to jedi_cj_the_great's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Consular, because later in the game you really start kicking ass with force powers and almost have unlimited force, because its so much, but you lack feats and some other level ups, it mainly focuses on force using. -
Its one of those games where you constantly have to keep playing and playing to unlock new things and secrets about what has been happening between KotOR1 and KotOR2. The first time you play it, you will probabally completely screw it up and have things turn against your planning, it is fairly confusing to start and there are lots of secrets to be revealed, the infulence system needs to be played with and learnt as it is sometimes hard to predict party members decisions. KotOR2 is a much darker game then the first, KotOR1 you had many jedi companions helping you to stick to the lightside, KotOR2 is quite the contrary, where you can choose to be a jedi or sith and you have much more freedom, no one stopping you from doing as you wish. First few parts of it is pretty boring and depressing *cough*Peragus*cough* But it takes a while to get into, I personally prefered how in KotOR1 you had to search for star maps, and in the end it led you to the Star Forge. The game makes you more side to the dark, as it is all around and you are completely outnumbered by sith and you are searching for lost jedi, and they are on the brink of extintion, It is harder to go LS IMO, as you have Kreia manipulating you and always confusing what you think may be right or wrong. And as everyone has said, the end if very confusing, it basically turns everything around and sort of gives you the answer, but there is still the element of confusion and that you need more answers, which will be provided in TSLRP, and possibly KotOR2. Playing all sides in the game helps unlock more stuff and feeds your questions with answers.

is kotor 2 on xbox live any good?
Sturm replied to Darth Gibbo 99's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You cant play KotOR2 online. -
It doesnt matter about your allignment most times, It depends on who you side with during the planets. For example, on Onderon if you choose to side with Vaklu you are forced to fight Kavarr, Dantooine you have to fight Vrook I believe if you side with the Mercenaries. When you meet the masters, and save whatever, you choose to talk to them, and ask them to rally at Dantooine or kill them there and then, however you can tell them to rally at Dantooine and in the end kill them personally, the options are all there for you to do whatever.

I think there was sort of connection to the Exile, but I only think the comparrison was that the two where holes in the force, and they where both spawned out of the incidents that occured at Malachor 5. Yeah, Kreia more often, and Visas both say that he is male, and "no longer a man" etc. gg

Did anyone where acctually use GO-TO once in their whole adventure? Not me, the only time I had GO-TO in my party was when I got out on a planet, and decided to level up my whole party members, and being the lightsider I was at the time, thought GO-TO might have needed for a strech, considering he like never moved Anyways, he is a real dodge droid, I never use droids in my party because they are no match for some Mandalorian muscle, and of course a trusty lightsaber. GO-TO really sucked when you tried to get something out of him as well, I dont know how it is possible to talk to him, and gain infulence to understand his secrets about the Exchange etc, and I dont want to know, not wasting my time on him

LOL!!!!! Depends on where they are fighting, Like in the cut content movie it is on Nihilius' ship, so Nihilius has the advantage, but if it where a place of strong darkside presence, ie. Malachor5 academy, Sion would be fuelled by the darkside, blah blah ramble, you guys dont care, Nihilius would win is the bottom line, says the movie

I think there is a max, because it is incredibly easy to get infulence for T3-M4, and I think I'm beyond the point, no matter what nice stuff I say to him, instead of getting infulence increase, I just get lightside points. Are you having any problems with the characters due to this? Its a shame in KotOR2 that not much of the characters have an indepth story, the main stuff they are there is jedify them basically, shame there isnt the same character quests like in KotOR1.

I dont think that I personally needed the powercell, I needed some flaps or something which I ended up getting after Goto's yacht part, so not much use to me anymore and some more influence goes down the gurgler, meh more excercise for my Exile then.

KotOR1 Revan - Red, Purple (knowledge from kotor2) Bastila - Double bladed yellow Jolee - Single green Juhanii - Single blue KotOR2 Kreia - Silver (symbolises neutrality) Atton - Single green Handmaiden - Double bladed blue Mira - Cyan and Purple Bao-Dur - Double bladed yellow Visas - Red Exile - Viridian, Orange (symbolising both sides, bot not nesissarily being on them) -
Dont you people pay attention to cut content whatsoever and cease to ramble on topics that have already been done, when the answer is right in front of you? Ditto to Xard, its storywise Nihilius wins, kthx <3
-
Mmm, I believe that this thread has been done, close please kthxbye.
-
I've noticed this for a while, and I appologise if this topic has already done, but is it just me, or if you, or you party has a cyan lightsaber equipted they dont automatically turn off? Or they are constantly on, and if you do turn them off by flurying your weapon and you go to the next scene they are on? Its really annoying and maybe its some bug or glitch, or somehow linked to some cut content perhaps.

When you click on KotOR2 and have the options: Game Configure Update Register Exit Go to update, and I think its a 20mb file last time I checked, try that, or reinstallation might help the problem.

No no, the powercell that the Ithorian guy gives to you is used to power the pylons via the terminals on the docks, I believe, I'm not to sure as to where you get the acctual powercell for the speeder, I got it but it was after goto's yacht so the speeder was immobilised.

Oh great, thanks a lot I should be able to Jedify her then, I havent had any experience from her previously, I think I got her once, and didnt think she could be turned to a jedi, and that was in my noob stage of playing the game, most time when I played KotOR2 much didnt turn out as I wanted to, mostly cos I didnt know what to do really. I thought that most characters need an event or place to trigger their jedification, similar in KotOR1 how you need an event, a person to trigger the characters quest. Unfortunately I'm on Onderon at the moment, and cant get back to the Ebon Hawk to go to Nar Shadaa, and handmaiden is extremely stubborn when it comes to turning her. Thanks
-
Ive got both Atton and Bao-Dur as Jedi, I always know that influence, and the meeting with the twi'leks on Nar Shadaa help trigger Atton to become a Jedi, I know that there is a lot of infulence to be gained for Bao-Dur to turn him, but I haven't got previous knowledge on how to turn Mira into a Jedi, I have enough influence, and when I talk to her on the ship about the how she is lonely, and misses Nar Shadaa bit, and that "Kreia taught me how to do such and such" and then "maybe I could teach you sometime" I then get infulence gained, and then Mira responds with "maybe someday you can" or something like that, what do I need? Mira to level up more? Also the handmaiden is being pretty stubborn, I know that you need to do them Echani duels to gain trust and respect with her, and then you can turn her to a jedi eventually, but when does she allow you to have the Echani duels? I have had 2 already, and she says to me "I do not think you are ready to move on" is it when I level up that I can duel her again? Thanks in advance.

I think you make KotOR2 look better then it acctually is.

Jedi Council blinded by the Dark Side?
Sturm replied to JediMasterAltena's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well I suppose it goes back to the fact that 'the Darkside clouds everything' as Yoda has said numerous times, perhaps it was that sort of a scenario. Well for one thing Jolee saw you as Revan from the beginning when he first met you, the jedi masters certainly knew that you where Revan and thought that you where to stay on the lightside when you canonically did in the end. From the beginning which I think the Revan you where refering to, I dont think that they really saw him going to war and taking the jedi as an act of dark, just to save and help but at an inconvinient time. At that point Revan realised his true potential and it was his chance to stand up and be a leader, I dont think that the jedi masters expected Revan to end up falling to the darkside at the end. -
GOTNECRO? Yes I too agree, Chinnan is a fool.

Puts Darwin's theory into action there.

Maybe some link as to how Vader threw Palpatine into the Death Star core at the end of RotJ, or whatever the hell it was. I suppose its a sign of apprentice overcomming master, but in the movie wise it was LS overcomming DS, in K2 it was more DarkerDS taking over.
