You're right. Though many mention it as an option when new build seekers come asking for opinions on how to build the MC they want, I don't see many builds in the featured build section utilizing the DR mechanic as the main feature. Boeroer.... are you up to the task?!?!?!?!?!

Just walk to the top of the stairs and have any party member, including a pet!, move closer and engage him in conversation. Then tell him he sucks and your there to put an end to his rule. Combat will commence. If you use a non-pet to do this just run back to your frontline. I would disable AI with that character otherwise he will stop to fight and will be swarmed. Or do it with a tank.....but I prefer to just get back to my frontline so I can start the magical AoE onslaught. I like to tackle this at level 4 if I have a priest and wizard.

I prefer to line up at the top of the steps in a five person front line. Wiz in the back dropping Chill Fogs and Combustings wounds. Of course this requires a 6 man team. The doorway is obviously easier but way less enjoyable. I like to call him out from the get go and then stomp him. Priest 2nd level paralyze Spell is also a big help. As are FoF scrolls.

Well I was thinking of taking all offensive abilities with my Bleak Walker. That is why I am asking about a 'no healer' viability. My BW as created. Human Meadow Folk Bleak Walker M 17 C 10 D 10 P 13 I 18 R 10 I'm not a big fan of dumping stats. Currently level 4. So far I have taken Zealous Aura that upgrades ACC and Crits, Rem Rakhan Field, Two Weapon Style, Upgrade to Aura for even more crits. Figured this will really help my Rogues deliver the pain to the do-gooders.

There has been a Party concept I have been wanting to try for awhile now. It's totally evil... My Watcher will be a Human Bleak Walker. He will be 'manipulated' by a Death Godlike Wizard who specializes in mind control and necrotic/corrode damages. Her cohorts are a pair of Rogues. One a Ruffian damage specialist, the other a Noble Crit specialist. Both melee. The Party is filled out by a dualled Battle Axe Barb and a Two hand Sword Fighter. I'm torn between making my Watcher a Dualled DPS beast or a Party buffer/healer since I have no Priest/ Druid/Chanter. I would like to try a Blunderboss's Bleak Walker type build, maybe going Flail instead of Sabre as one of my Rogues will be using Bittercut/Azurith's Stilletto combo. Is it viable to do a PotD run with no healer whatsoever?

Chanter can easily be active in melee. He chants while fighting or shooting. You only need to check to see when his invocations are ready to fire off. I used a Drakes Ambassador variant with the Unforgiven Flail and Little Savior, tanking away. Once my priests buffs started stacking up she was doing nice damage. Plus some of the invocations are better from the front lines as they are cone AoEs.

You mean.... you're not going to add Ninja and Samurai classes! No!!!!!! Just kidding. I know I will see them in PoE 2. Wink wink.

Dex is not a big need when chanting. It of course helps your speed when attacking with a weapon or using items/scrolls. Int and Might should be prioritized. Then Perception. The rest do with what you will. I like a 16 in Might, Per and Int and the rest 10s. I'm sure other more experienced players will minmax more but I have found it is not necessary, even on PoTD. I don't power game but do enjoy the builds on this forum. The Drake's Ambassador is an excellent Chanter build, built with style! The pick alone is worth the build. If you are perusing the builds keep in mind that many builds share some of the same items.... I'm staring hard at you Mr. Shod-in-Faith Boots!.... Boeroer seems to have an affinity for those boots. He must have a toe fungus!

I like Ravenwing as an endgame weapon in a dual wield with a dagger or rapier on a maxed might build. Allows for multiple damage types. Even better when paired with a sword to cover all three damage types. Currently using it on a Dualwield Coastal Aumaua maxed Might Barbarian, paired with Whispers. He's beastly so far, just hitting level 9 with the party.
